1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in going down, is it bad...? on: September 16, 2018, 09:32:00 PM
Not a good deal to see bitcoin go down in price since all thse invested in it want to see a return on their investment as fast as possible
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs now regulated, expect better ICOs, less Scams on: September 16, 2018, 09:29:42 PM
Well that's a good news to the crypto investors as they will be protected with those regulations. Then, how about those ICOs that are not originated from France? Is this mandatory to all ICOs to secure certificate from those group?
I am sure some countries that are not sure of how to handle the crypto regulation issue can learn from France, that they can actually benefit more from it than when they ban it, banning it will only mean they lose such investments to other countries where it is allowed
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs now regulated, expect better ICOs, less Scams on: September 15, 2018, 11:11:31 AM
The question is will the new rules concerning ICO's in France result in a cumbersome and expensive bureaucratic process that will kill of the few ICO's coming out of France? Given that they have handed the job to the stock market regulator it is quite likely that will be the result.
There are always trade offs, those are my fears too, that we do not kill innovations when complex government bottlenecks are required before you can launch a project, the good part is that we get to see less scams and investors protection of some sorts.Only time will tell how this eventually plays out
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ICOs now regulated, expect better ICOs, less Scams on: September 14, 2018, 11:32:43 PM
Here is an except of an article published on coinness. It narrates the French government approval of draft to regulate ICOs

"France Finalizes New ICO Framework to 'Attract Innovators Globally']France's Minister for the Economy and Finance has announced on Twitter that the government has accepted an article of the Business Growth and Transformation bill (PACTE) dedicated to Initial Coin Offerings (ICO).

Bruno Le Maire stated that the French stock markets regulator Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is now empowered to give licenses to companies that want to raise funds via an ICO, with the legislation aiming to help protect contributors' interests."

Is this a good bye to scam ICOs from France?
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I stop trading in this bear market? on: September 14, 2018, 11:26:57 PM
It is much more challenging to make profits on day trading in a bearish market, it require a new skill set as one will have to take note if the fact that assets are generally losing value as time progresses
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need to regulate digital money on: September 13, 2018, 10:26:19 PM
One of the perks of regulations for me is the possibility of bringing in floods of new cash to the space and the less tendency for there to be scams especially as regards initial coins offerings, only projects with reasonable ideas gets funded, not scams
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am most worried now on: September 13, 2018, 10:23:58 PM
The price of Ethereum in the crypto market is very critical as a lot of erc-20 tokens are usually priced or rated relative to ethereum, there is some ray of hope as it should some signs of life in the last 24hours
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WIll ETH pass BTC in 2019 ? on: September 11, 2018, 09:53:39 PM
Not so great with ethereum at the current moment, ethereum will not be able to surpass bitcoin in price or in terms of market cap. now nor in the future
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin become currency a new State? on: September 11, 2018, 09:50:30 PM
Money does come with some level of financial liberty, and bitcoin can be a tool to achieve this, the rules are not set in stones but it can play a  dominant role as a currency in a lot country
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum $ 218 is a bottom or a springboard. on: September 10, 2018, 10:22:51 AM
I am scared we may not have seen the worst of Ethereum, a lot of projects are still selling off their ether hold from ICO conducted, also the scaling issue is yet to be resolved ,let's hope it gets better
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: September 10, 2018, 10:19:44 AM
The future of dogecoin? Lol) Even the Creator called it a joke coin, what kind of serious future can there be?)
Doge coin as you rightly said didn't really start so well but it seem to have gathered some huge support and legitimacy in recent times, gained up to a 100 percent last week and seem to have retained much of that value gained
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Exchange market data manipulation bringing the whole crypto market down? on: September 09, 2018, 09:39:48 PM
The market may continue until people finally understand how it is played and will be less inclined to sell off their bitcoins in a panic or dump in price, it will gradually become less severe as everyone will learn to ignore it.And the market will just grow naturally
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it too late to invest in bitcoin? Is it a bubble? on: September 09, 2018, 09:36:18 PM
If bitcoin were a bubble, it would have burst by now and prices are at close to their best, but it is not, some big investors are trying so hard to crash the price because they believe the price will ultimately grow in the future
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GET OUT WHEN YOU CAN!!OR STAY AND CRY! on: September 07, 2018, 08:15:21 PM
I really  do not see the need for this, there are no obligations that one has to stay or leave cryptocurrencies, it is a personal investment decision, it is a great opportunity opportunity for me to invest more.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is weird on: September 07, 2018, 08:10:49 PM
Crypto-currency or digital assets in general only derive value for specific solutions to provide either as a utility  token or as a security, when either of these phase are poorly developed or ignored, the value is more or less zero as it is only then a speculative instrument.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: September 06, 2018, 10:14:31 PM
Doge coin is one of the most heavily traded coins on coinmarketcap, it even did far better than most coins during periods of general market dump, gaining over 50 percent more,i think dogecoin has a future
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it the best time to buy cheaper crypto while Bitcoin is at high price? on: September 06, 2018, 10:11:11 PM
It would have been nice to get some tokens at this time when almost all coins are at the lowest, the challenge however is that no one knows how the market will react the very next moment
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Government bans Bitcoins? on: September 05, 2018, 10:49:59 PM
It will not change things much in the future because bitcoin was not designed to be controlled by the government. If governments ban btc and people are willing  to use it, no problem, it is peer-to-peer
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to put all my money into an ICO? on: September 05, 2018, 10:47:46 PM
It is very risky to put all your money into any investment or even in savings, it is near inconceivable to do for a start up which ICOs are in cryptos. I won't take such risk. When I invest in ICOs, I take asymmetric risk only
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market Goes Down and Down on: September 03, 2018, 10:29:05 PM
2018 in general has been very disturbing for cryptos, to much surprise of everyone, bitcoin plunged from  20k $ to 6k$ range, the good news is that the downward trend seem to have stopped and things are looking better in recent weeks
