Personally, a a bettor, I find it very stressful when watching the game you are betting especially if it will end up a losing bet.
If we have the same experience, how do you cope up with that problem, after all, gambling should be fun but why we have this kind of feeling that we feel disappointed when our bet loses?
Personally, I've never seen it as a problem. Putting a wager on a sports event makes it much more enjoyable for me. Having a stake in a game is completely different than watching it without any investments (be it money or emotions, i.e. watching your national team etc). It can be stressful, but not all feelings of stress are the same. This one is more of an excitement than a negative stress. Something like watching a horror movie when you're a kid, you're scared but don't want to stop watching. It could be fun or it could be stressful to watch, depends on the game situation. Of course when it's a lopsided game against your team, obviously that could be very stressful to watch considering that you've also put a bet on your favorite team. But when it's in favor of your team, then it's not gonna be exciting to watch as you'd probably feel comfortable for an upcoming win. What is exciting for me to watch and place bet is when it is a close game, like for example the finals of the NBA. However, sometimes when I don't feel like placing a bet to any team because I don't like the odds, I could still actually enjoy the game, especially again if it's a close game with both team exchanging leads. A very normal human being reaction on which it is really just that typical on the emotions that we are showing on which it would be getting in line with the things that we are currently dealing with. We do know that it wont really be something that cant be avoided but if you are making out some choices but doesnt have that getting involved with some amounts then you wont really be able to feel any emotion because there's no money involved on which we know that this do really add up the spice when making betting. This is why if you are a gambler whose really that a fan on making up bets then you would be always preferring that having money would at at stake.So it would be a normal approach on where you would really be preferring into. You can have fun watching others gamble but not bet yourself but it won't be much but if you bet yourself then your emotions will work which will give you more fun and also you will feel sad if you are more than you can afford to lose. Bet the amount and lose It. So I think you will have more fun when you gamble yourself and bet an amount instead of just watching others gamble. You won't have fun just watching others gamble. It will only attract you to gamble. Gambling gives more pleasure than watching gambling. I think gambling is a bad addiction for me because I am more addicted to gambling than before. I feel happy when I win but when I lose It's very difficult because in gambling I only hope to win because of which I get upset when I lose in gambling. At first I thought gambling depended on luck but now I think luck is needed along with good experience in gambling. |

I vowed not to gamble again in the new year. But I couldn't keep that promise today is the 2nd day of new year and today I gambled again. Gambling attracts us now in such a way that we cannot forget one. We know gambling is bad and gambling is hurting us financially yet we go there again and again. So a New Year's resolution I think might be to keep a fixed budget and vow to never spend more on gambling than that budget. Then we can avoid deep gambling addiction. If you can't commit to quitting gambling, then no matter how tight a budget you keep, you'll never be able to gamble within that budget. You have to admit that you are addicted to gambling if you continue to gamble even after vowing to quit gambling. So first of all try to quit gambling and if earlier you used to gamble 3-4 days a week now try to gamble 1 day a week then 1 time in 15 days then 1 time a month. By trying this way, you will be able to quit gambling and keep yourself in control that you otherwise wouldn't be able to. It is very difficult for a person to quit gambling because he has been addicted to gambling for a long time. But I think a person can quit gambling if he wants to but at first he will have a hard time. If someone wants to quit gambling he has to take some steps like he has other jobs or family when he wants to gamble. If you don't spend time together, you can keep yourself busy with some other work. Although it is a little difficult at first, I think it is possible to get out of it gradually. |
