Heck, even a shareholder can't get any love ... I received the same response:
"We are interested in moving forward with your order. However, our initial product offering is committed to a small group of very large customers and we cannot accept additional orders at this time."
Time will tell ...

I've been mining with SP Tech equipment since the SP10 rolled out.  Though BTCS/Spondoolies best get the SP50's fired up soon to ever be profitable against the competition.

"BitFury derives sustainable advantage through its custom-made application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), optimized to achieve the lowest power consumption coupled with the highest processing metrics the parameters that drive mining margins. BitFury successfully delivered several prior generations of silicon and has a roadmap to at least double performance-per-watt every 6-12 months."

It makes me wonder what the mining industry will look like over the next ten years.  How "decentralized" will it truly be?

I apologize ahead of time for this not really being an issue with regard to SP Tech.

I don't post very much, but I read the forums almost daily.  I am a small miner, as I believe most on this thread are as well.  I also believe that the people here are some of the most knowledgeable and intelligent among small miners.
Over the past few months we've seen major changes.  The pool hashrate distribution chart [urlhttps://blockchain.info/pools][/url] is starting to look pretty ominous.  BTC Guild is closing down as of June 30th.
I am just curious as to people's thoughts and feelings regarding the changes, as well as the future - our future as small miners. I'm also curious as to everyone's feelings toward bitcoin itself.
I hope the best for everyone, but the horizon doesn't look very bright for us anymore.
Regards,
Ski

We invite you to re-enter an order for one of our current products:

SP20 For Delivery In October

For home miners and smaller mining farms, we are happy to introduce the SP20, a home mining unit that puts the power back in the hands of home miners. The SP20 will ship in the second half of October.

For more information and to place an order, please visit our web site at
http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/

Please reply to this email if you have any questions or concerns.

Since when did they replenish their stock, or am I that special?
I think neither ... lol
8  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 22, 2015, 06:42:31 PM
I dont think it is a matter of IF the demand for a home miner is there... I definitely think it is... but rather at what price point is the right amount of demand available.

Although some complained about the SP20 being at $479 I think that the build quality and support behind the product justified the price... even more so against your closest less expensive direct competitor, the S5.

Keep up the good work SP. I am sure whatever you make will sell. You guys have built a good name behind yourselves.

Thanks  Smiley

Depends if they find the extra bit of profit is worth dealling with all the stupid customers, lol
I would think that as long as the word "profit" is in the answer to the equation, they will come up with something ...
SP20's started at $1,190.00 USD and sold out at $479.00 ... they were still making "profit" at $479.00

happy with the miner reporting on pools. this one is guild. showing very accurate
top - sp35
If you don't mind sharing, what settings did you end up using for your SP35? Start/max voltage, fan speed, PSU power limits ... and what does your unit read as its input voltage?
6TH seems abnormal for an SP35 - that is roughly a 3800-4000W DC12V draw, and the SP35 contains a pair of PSUs that are rated to give only 1600W DC each, for about 5.5TH/3200W (~3550W at wall). would love to know more, because if it can actually drive itself to 6TH i want some to go alonside my SP31 units (limited to 4.68TH at 208V)
I'm curious as well ...

Still no answer on this one

BITMAIN, how often do you update the bitcoin/usd price on your site? current price is 334-335, and your ticker is stuck at 328. for a large order, that makes a hefty difference. i placed an order, and i didn't realize your bitcoin price ticker was not being updated...  Huh Huh Undecided

Checking.

it's should deserve not "checking" but a major hurry.
Everyone who is ordering at prices listed on the website is losing $12-13/miner (it is up to almost $9-10 or ~3% difference between "real" and "bitmains" btc price right now). They will have to either cancel all orders that were erroneously priced or issue massive refunds if this continues unabated.
Damn, I totally missed that too and placed an order about ten minutes ago!  Time to get the calculator out ...  Huh

Are we seeing a Happy Hanukkah sale today?  Shocked
Happy Holidays to everyone at SP Tech!

Woo me and Roadstress are famous! 7:52 Cheesy

Nice video, just a shame that you had to be on the same one as the MAT scammers.
Grin

Are the SP35's from stock now or still built to order?
Within about 2 days we'll achieve stock.
It's the 13th and just curious if you've achieved "stock", as I haven't received confirmation on the shipment of my SP35 order ...
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: December 12, 2014, 09:54:48 PM
Wondering about SP20:

Inside SP20 box are two PCB, is there possibility for have only one core plate running? by connecting psu to only one them?

I believe so.  I had to RMA one of the first SP20's due to the board sliding loose during shipping.  One of the boards had a cracked VRM.  I tested the other board by itself - unplugged the "bad" board completely. It worked just fine, of course at half the hash speed.
Not condoning doing so, just my experience with running one board.

16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: December 05, 2014, 02:19:08 AM

the beauty of being the mod to a thread is I can delete it. which I will as no one on this thread has told me they have more then 4 sp20's

I have three.
Only I ordered 15 more.  Cool

nice where will you run them?
I didn't see you had opened a thread philip, or that you were curious about the numbers.  I've got six SP20's ...
I have a bunch of gear that I've accumulated since 2012, I'll post some pics over the weekend.
I still have my first ASIC setup  Cheesy (not powered on lol)

http://coinde.sk/1wiIEAG

interesting.
and perhaps a tad sycophantic so feel free to shoot me down in flames, but this is what i believe.
http://www.rgspix.com/infbtc.jpg

my reasoning is that for the first time, ever, we have been dealing with a company who have not only turned out the most efficient hardware from their own IP but have also flown in the face of all other h/w manufacturers by striving to assure 100% customer satisfaction.
in this industry, it's unheard of.

I just want to say, if you don't win this Guy, well done for rounding up such a skilled team, and for everything that you do to service our mining requirements. Although you are obviously driven by the profit which keeps you in production, so are we and I wish to applaud you, not only in that excellent customer service, but also in the actual hardware you have produced.

<insert standing ovation here>

No I in TEAM. But Guy certainly is a great representative of the SPTech team. Everyone at SPTech should be given a nod.

Yes, i totally agree, every single individual i've had the pleasure to interact with at spondoolies has been courteous, honest and keen to provide a top service.
(i sent Katya flowers w/ chocolates a few months ago to say thanks and Guy stole the chocs.)
I am also in agreement ... Thank you Guy, and the entire SP Tech team!
Thanks for the t-shirt too!

To the SP20 owners.  Question - Are you happy with it?  Any objections?  Given current difficulty?  BTC yield?   Are you in it mainly for the hobbyist factor VS going a mini farm?

pretty happy ... replacing S3's with them, not as whiny as a SP10, but still on the loud side.
19  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 30, 2014, 01:12:59 AM
thanks again for using my affiliate link for your 2nd SP20 Phil.
appreciated.

 NP

I sold off   3 s-3's   to make some  coin to pay for it.

I am really tempted to buy a third.

where did you unload them phil?  I have a few S-3's that I'd like to trade in myself ...  Cheesy
20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 27, 2014, 12:38:50 AM
sorry to jump off the rail regarding the discussion ... though I must say this is the best company for miners, and this is one of the best forums I watch as well.

good points made by all, and at the end of the day we all have our own style ...  Cool

my question is probably pretty silly, but how do you point the SP's and multiple pools in the "Pools" menu?

Its just cgminer so you have to edit the cgminer.conf file

You have to follow the instructions on that page:

Quote
To edit this file, please use SSH to log in to your miner, and then use vi /etc/cgminer.conf
Thanks Biffa ... I was hoping it wouldn't require having to "putty" in  Undecided
