I honestly think the devs plan all along was for the coin to get dumped to smithereens. That's why Bittrex makes sense.

Dump, chomp up cheap coins, get listed on larger exchange, then cash out. Timing of any walls would correspond to Polo, or similar news... but don't think that will happen for a while yet. The question is what is the bottom.

The buy back wall at 30K was pulled, not broken by the way.

Believe they are still active over at the Safex forums. I think the last thing I read is that they may do their own thing if Maid isn't ready in time.

Just sent a small amount of bela as a test. What happens if the chain doesn't move quick enough to get to you before the ICO is over? Or doesn't move at all?

Is there a listing somewhere of the bela invested, but still waiting to be moved?

Even lower for me, 12Kish to 6K. Although I wouldn't call my meager amount of btc walls...

No, not really. Well, if you mean there is manipulation and shadiness... sure, but that could be said of all coins.
Some are obviously very profitable, look at ETH... or even more recently, Lisk. You win some, you lose some, just the way it goes.

I didn't have many coins to begin with (threw a btc at it during the ICO), but as soon as the 30K wall was pulled, decided to get out too. May buy back in, who knows... but agree, there are certainly red flags here. With bonuses + bounties, got out with a minor profit. I found a lot of the decisions made by the devs fishy to begin with.. but it may be time to retreat for now and reevaluate later.

If I had to guess, the devs plan was to drive the price into the ground (choice of Bittrex)... chomp up coins, then pump later. But where that ground is, nobody knows.

That was my point -- the 'good news' would be an announcement that the coin is going to be listed on polo on a specific date. Of course this doesn't make logical sense, and no reason really for the coin to rise once it's on polo (without real news, like you say). But logic and crypto don't necessarily go together.

And I was just answering a question why folks think the coin will rise if on polo. I expect many don't think this... they think it'd rise if news of it being listed was announced (before it even gets onto polo).

People expect a pump due to polo... and if given a day/time, they'd hope to sell before the coin actually hits the exchange, as the news of polo would lead to a rise (at least according to weird crypto logic).

Can we send from an exchange's wallet to the escrow address (which I realize is usually a horrible idea)?

That's the main problem when ICO coins change terms. Expect lots of FUD ... no reason to give an excuse for FUD this early in a coin's existence. If the coin is a success and the devs need extra btc, can always do a 2nd ICO like a year from now, that sort of thing ... backgammon coin, and so on...

Even coins with god awful ICO setups (Elastic Coin), stuck to their original plan. And they went through like 3 devs, shady terms, lots of FUD (for other reasons), and three (or four) different threads here. If anyone had an excuse to do over their ICO, it was them ... but they kept going.

Changing ICO rules midway through the game is always iffy. I'd just as well see the coin go through the original terms + release like planned. If funds are low ICO-wise, so be it... no guarantee new terms would change anything.

I've already commented how I think Bittrex was chosen on purpose (to drive the price down/chomp up cheap coins) and of course there is manipulation. One red flag for me however is that the devs/whales chose to play the manipulation game so early on ... not that it matters whether I hold or sell while on bittrex, but I might not play the long game on this one.

Curious if it'll follow Maid's coattails like it seems to have been doing... although Maid has risen the past two days, all quiet in SEC-land so far. Then again, it's one of those coins that sometimes just randomly seems to blast up (meaning manipulation)... just not sure if anyone is still manipulating it.

And maybe that was the point.

Too often folks think devs (or whales) who hold a lot of coins want to pump the price. Well, they do, but I wouldn't assume when they want to time things.

One exchange (admittedly on the smaller side) + lots of free bounties to cash out = lower price. Whales can chomp up cheap coin, and then one day all of a sudden the dev makes some nice announcements + polo. Now higher price... they cash out, profit. It's not fun for the small investor, but if looking at things logically, that makes more sense than 'scam!', or the devs are completely inept, or somehow they thought bittrex was the best exchange for the coin.

Depends on bonuses and if you want to count bounties. For myself, including both bonuses + bounties, my buy-in price was 25K. It's also one of the reasons why people have sold below ICO levels... with free bounties included, it's still profitable -- and for those just cashing out bounties w/ no ICO buy-in, there is no 'below ICO level'.

Of course it's manipulated. Whether you love of hate Maid, a chinese exchange is an excellent excuse for manipulation... generally such manipulations lead to a higher price (at least logically).

Chinese exchange on Friday, right? Could be an interesting week price-wise...

The funny part is when those same people that are screaming scam all of a sudden either vanish, or change their tune to the opposite, right after they buy back in. Happened all the time in the Lisk thread, pre-ICO... happens all the time actually in most threads here.

They go with the politician mindset I guess -- people won't remember what they said a couple of days earlier, even if it's the complete opposite of what they are saying now.

Many aren't actually freaking out -- it's a FUD version of freaking out. They sold at 38-60K. Now they want to buy back in at 30K or less.

And in their minds, going on like a nut, screaming scam, using red fonts and so on, impacts the price. They might as well say a prayer, or do a little dance... has about the same impact with real investors.
