Anyone ever consider the fact that Bittrex was chosen solely because the devs knew people would dump their free bounties? Why not get that out of the way on a smaller exchange first? Once on Polo, then the fun can begin ... dumpers have dumped, time for real trading.

Well, it varies depending on bonuses and if you want to count the freebie bounties. I threw 1 btc into this and got 4k coins, so ICO price for those who got full bonuses and all bounties, is actually even lower, like 25K.

I agree strongly! The price isn't as high as I like, so it's a scam! It's the devs' fault!  Or the exchange's fault... yeah, they are scamming too! Hmm... I'm sure someone else is to blame too -- can't be the fault of those who invested in the coin and expected a profit within 20 minutes of the coin trading, of course.

Remember free bounties = free money. After they dump, it should go back to normal. There is no below ICO number for them.

And even for investors, with bonuses + free bounties, this is still above ICO prices.

The way the ICO was designed makes it silly to invest with btc. The devs must have known this. Bellacoin investments currently have a huge advantage over btc... which doesn't even take into account that whole 30%/15% thing.

DAO's meltdown of course lowered Lisk's price. And combine that with BTC rising = cheap Lisk.

For some reason people correlate ETH and Lisk together, almost like Lisk is the litecoin to  ETH. Either they do that out of ignorance (Lisk is just a fork of ETH, right?) ... or think the same problems ETH had, Lisk will have too. Or some reason... beats me... crypto doesn't always follow logic... actually it rarely does seem logical.

Just started watching Mr Robot (first season is free on amazon prime)... first episode looks intriguing enough.

Maybe, we don't know. Just saying there is no correlation to how Lisk does.

Not quite sure why anyone considers Waves a competitor to Lisk, unless simply because they were both ICOs.
Yobit prices are meaningless, as we all know... otherwise we would have all sold our lisk at .02, or whatever fake price lisk was going for on yobit. No liquidity on yobit, 1st day dumpers = lowered price.

I hold both lisk and waves... it's not a zero sum game, where if waves goes down, lisk automatically goes up.

If anyone lets yobit prices affect their trading on real sites, they shouldn't be into crypto at all.

I haven't kept track, but it's supposed to hit bittrex first, right? Have they said when it'll hit polo?

Could be interesting that way (some folks have wondered why bittrex first)... but typically small exchange to big exchange = rise in price. Unless they were talking about both hitting the exchange Mon., just that bittrex will get it a couple of hrs earlier.

Hope your 46 waves turns into a nice prize.... means my 4000+ waves will be even nicer. Threw a btc at it during the ICO, not expecting moon, but a Lisk-like performance (before its recent dive) would be nice.

I wouldn't be that surprised. Unless it hits insane super bargain prices, I wouldn't trust yobit with my btc (and even then, I wouldn't trust them with more than crumbs)... so it's not an exchange I expect most keep spare btc lying around to buy any coins. Those selling are the gambler's anonymous types, just need to dump and get their money right away ... on the plus side, after the coin hits a real exchange, some of the dumpers probably would have dumped already.

Edit: Although now after glancing at the market, it looks like there is no liquidity whatsoever. Prices there are probably meaningless.

That's how I look at it too. But it's easy to forget (for ICO people), that a lot of folks probably didn't get their Lisk at cheapo prices ... those who paid double or more current prices probably aren't so happy. Been there myself with other coins, so know it isn't fun. But if I paid a high price and it went down to 30K, I'd probably just buy enough coins to lower my initial buy-in price.  Ex:someone paid 100K, buy same amount at 30K, my new break even price is now 65K. All depends on how much spare btc folks have though, and what their risk level meter is at.

Well, I wouldn't say it's based on nothing. Based on the whole DAO debacle and BTC rising, it's not a crazy prediction. That price level should be very temporary though, or I'd expect it to be.

But who knows really.... price could be double by the end of the week. Nobody knows (besides maybe some whales).

Not a bad guess. It's not that terrible really ... still higher than ICO levels, and not so low as it can't get big and strong again reasonably fast. I sold a portion of my ICO coins earlier to cover my initial investment, but if it's 30ish, I'd probably just buy them all back... and some extra too.

BTC halving still a couple of weeks away, right? Another delay probably would run smack dab into btc's high.
So long as people aren't idiots (which would be a big assumption, I admit), they should realize Waves has nothing to do with ETH/DAO. Then again, folks have associated Lisk with ETH even though they are competitors, and have little to do with one another, so who knows...

Doesn't make sense to sell now (unless someone really, really needed the btc), but it may make sense to buy, to lower the overall price for those who bought high. Of course determining where the bottom is, is the problem.

Remember that people are idiots. I expect a lot of Lisk investors have no idea what they even bought... dapps... eth fork?

Anyway, I'm assuming most ICO people sold at least some of their coins by now (at least to cover their initial investment). The rest is just varying degrees of profit, might as well ride it out.

When I was new to crypto, I was shocked at the lack of maturity here. I expected to see economic theory, or serious investment advice.. something. Instead it reminded me of 12 year olds who watched Wall Street 100s of times (and got the wrong message out of it).

What also surprises me is that the same FUD techniques are used over and over (bigger fonts please, in bright colors), that was tried years ago. I mean, by now anyone with a brain must be immune to it. FUD/Hype, all the same game, not sure who is fooled by any of it anymore.

This thread (well, actually most threads here) is why folks outside of crypto can't take any of this seriously. Actually even for those of us playing in cryptoland, I expect most can't take it seriously.

Those toddler pics are pretty accurate of the mindset of many here. A couple of days delay before trading... who cares? ETH took months and months. It's nothing.

Instead we get those who just want to flip coins ICO to ICO and can't wait a few days... like they need to hit a gambler's anonymous meeting. Or those spreading FUD because they think it'll drive down prices pre-exchange, so they can scoop up some bargains. It's all so silly. Delays before an ICO coin hits an exchange usually works in its favor; drives up interest.
