A few of us, myself included have been receiving conformation emails from the Zaif exchange to verify email for registration. And all our email addresses are registered on bitcointalk. i recieved my email on march 18th. If anyone here has had the same email, let me know here and check your SPAM folder. I think its hilarious that google and facebook would ban such ads, yet i see them supporting scam adverts for the likes of driverupdate and other fraudulent antivirus and security software.
Just put driver updates into google now and you will see what i mean.
Anyway, its a double standard and hypocritical for google to do such a thing. Dunno why people would react in fear on the markets to such news though, pure FUD.

I just want to help clarify some things. Essentially, this is group funding from the NEM community to provide incentive to a company to use NEM tech. This gives more utility and publicity to NEM. With that said, here are some highlights and corrections. 1. This was not a "move by the dev team". This was voted on and approved by NEM community. Read about it here. 2. The terminology used makes it sound like NEM is integrating D2G to collect data. That is NOT the case. D2G is building their software to utilize the NEM blockchain, making their service better. Much like a car company buying a specific engine to install in their vehicles. - Not an engine design implementing a specific car's chassis. 3. The funding provided by NEM community should provide a great ROI, Return On Investment. We now have another established company promoting the NEM engine in a huge way. Anyone who is sharing location data, etc, will then be able to be rewarded with XEM. And it won't be a secret. You will know if you are sharing your locations, interests, etc to other companies looking to sell you something. You can turn it ON, or OFF. If you have it turned ON, you collect payment in XEM! Right now, nobody really knows they can turn it OFF. It's ON by default, and you don't even know it's happening. And you certainly aren't paid for it. And if you were, it hasn't been paid in XEM! This current system is bad. NEM is helping change that. Imagine the masses of people who don't know their data is collected, and don't know about XEM. +1  |

Everything you said was discussed. Quoting others for no reason just pushes relative information back farther. But, if you must...  *Edit* I decided to be the super nice guy that I am and answer all these questions again. 1. All exchanges NEM wallets ARE offline. It's a fact. They have been for some time before you posted. You obviously made the transaction before they went offline. Therefore, talking about your specific case is pointless. 2. Work-arounds are never great. And nobody loves cryptopia. To suggest the Buy 50k Sats Trick is part of an agenda is ridiculous! They don't even have harvesting active on their NEM wallet. And with many cryptos, the claim that "they are staking our coins", has been debunked several times. 3. Customer support for cryptopia sucks. (Old News) This is why people use these forums to learn the tips n tricks. Spamming hate and accusations just clutters things. 4. Why don't they fix their system? - They do. They are fixing things everyday. I gave a basic rundown a few posts back about their constant issues with crapcoins, and how it affects quality projects like NEM. My posts can only be helpful if you read them. 5. Is this because of the stolen XEM? - Since every exchange has their NEM wallet offline, and we have not heard from the NEM foundation regarding this issue. We can only speculate. "All exchanges NEM wallets ARE offline" What do you mean by "offline" ? What do you mean by "All" ? Bittrex has theirs down for maintenance, but Poloniex wallet is online. As far as Cryptopia, DONT USE THEM! There are several people threatening legal action against them, going by some posts ive read. |

I would open a ticket. In case there is a real issue requiring their specific involvement in your case, you will want to get in the queue (currently 28 days predicted wait period)
If they resolve the issue before then, and your deposit shows up. Please close your support ticket.
Creating a ticket for failed XEM deposits will also show how important NEM is to the community, and exemplify our demand for smooth XEM deposits.
Im hearing that Cryptopia are telling some of their users that support tickets are currently taking 45 days to resolve! |

Building a great ecosystem (public chain, private chains, catapult release, comsa...)
Many people blame NEM for weak marketing.
But I really like the way it is organized.
It's about
spreading knowledge,
creating usecases,
holding lots of meetings,
hackathons.
Building blockchain centers around the world.
Creating an API and teaching to adopt it.
Participating in profile conferences.
Having partnership this governments.
NOT forking after hacker's attack and reacting the best way possible (IMHO)
Usecases, projects are the best indicator.
I might be wrong, but i think there many surprises hiding behind NDAs
*Catapult is being tested in Mijin, by the way
I think the marketing is impressive, its just not done online, its all one to one meetings and discussions at our meetups held globally. I cant think of a single project that is doing regular (official) meetups in my town, let alone my country! |

The entire cryptocurrency market is going through the market correction. it is not a big deal, it is absolutely normal for the market to go through correction as it will do recover over small period of time.
its just that noobs to crypto are not used to such large corrections. |

Its normal that bitcoin market is crashing as many people are trying to crash it with fake news and governments are banning/restricting bitcoins as well as other cryptocurrencies. However, correcting process is also showing good results but seems like negative energy is more in the market than positive energy. Soon we will seen bitcoin going towards 40K+$ by the end of the year.
I remember bitcoin was less than $1000 a year ago, then hit $20K in December. At that rate, this is entirely possible |

Now there are a lot of analytical articles about the fact that NEM will become a real competitor for ETH. I think that makes sense. In a few years NEM will become a very strong platform if the project will also develop rapidly and sign contracts with well-known companies.
As one who's actually attempted to *use* the ETH platform, I can tell you NEM is much easier. It won't be long before others catch on. ETH seems to have better name recognition at this point, but NEM is starting to catch up on that too. Thats probably why venezuela decided to go with NEM lol  A fact that everyone ought to be ashamed of, not celebrating. I dont care who uses NEM, whether or not it be China, North Korea or Russia, the NEM platform is available for everyone to use free of any censorship. besides if they chose NEM because its easy to use, that says alot doesnt it? |
