A lot has been said about mining and about the electricity consumption of the activities related to bitcoin mining. However, I have thought of the alternatives and how other systems produce not just energy waste, but also plenty of useless work and "human waste".
To have a network that can ensure the completeness of transactions, the global accessibility and all the features that bitcoins, and many alts, have at the moment, would probable produce a huge carbon footprint. Just think of the VISA system or the banking system... the amount of people working on it, the waste of commuting to works, the infrastructure.
Thinking of all that, would you still say Bitcoin is bad for the environment?
Bitcoin mining is not too affecting environment in a harmful way. Mining only need some resources like electricity, and just produce heat. cryptocurrency mining will stay good for environment unless there are some wrong way to generate electricity that producing harmful waste products. |

Hello all members! I am a bounty hunter, as well as many of you   And I heard that bounty hunters dump the coin price at the ico end. So I was wondering, if the team doesn't want its coins to be sold on exchange date and thus be dumped, why they reward bounty hunters with their token, not FIAT. Because they anyway accept fiat for selling the tokens, so the coin won't be dumped by bounty hunters, and bounty hunters are satisfied too. Because those who need money, they have it, those who want tokens, can buy it at exchange etc. This may be a good idea. The dump price of the tokens can make investors lose confidence. This way is to prevent that. Another way that can be used by the dev to prevent dump is by buyback their tokens that sold with cheap price. |

You should buy altcoins when the price falling. But for some peoples, they prefer to buy when the price rising because they want to make quick profit. I think if you buy when the price rising, it will be the same as speculating because you wont know that the coin will keep rising or stop rising. |

I have been following the crypto scene for the past year and sometimes even though some companies do well their token price drastically goes down and this is the same with btc too. People like john mcafee and roger ver are always talking about how we should get ready for the bullish market but yet the price keeps on decreasing and so i'm asking how and who controls the price. If there is anyone who might be running it?
There must be some peoples who can control the price of crypto. Imagine if you have the huge amount of crypto coins, you can dump they anytime and making the market falling. Even the whales can join together to manipulate the market. This is very possible to occurred in the market. |

not because i think dumps are over, they are still going on. but i say this because now after about 8 months people have finally accepted the fact that the altcoins are getting dumped.
so far, for instance a month ago, if you asked them "is this the bottom" then they would have said yes, and expected the price to rise up soon to the moon,... then they got dumped on while bag holding.
but now that they have accepted the inevitable the dumps can go on more smoothly and we can reach the bottoms so much faster because bag holders are letting go of their bags now.
and we all know that in order to rise back up price needs to hit the bottom first.
Well, cryptocurrency is often unpredictable. It could be not the end and still dropping later. I believe many of us want to see crypto rise. The sure thing is, when there is a spiking or falling market, there will be correction market after that. |

all major altcoins are down indeed, but in my opinion, this could be only temporary. The down market like this won't be seen anymore later, if the big parties come to buy. Usually there will be some correction after spiking price, and after the crashing price as well. |

Now that market seems always falling down these will prevent day traders to day trade crypto which relatively most of the money from the investors will going to end up day trading with some of the individuals who were always looking after at the graph of crypto market price movement. Now I think they should better be gone. Without these day traders market price could go a good increase all the way. I hope they will not come back.
I think day traders still able to gain the profit if they expert in trading effectively. But most of them must be in pain because trading in this kind of bloody market on altcoins. btc is not too affected by this bear market. |

Yes it will be very convenience to having a 2fa security in our personal wallet, but i think you cannot do that in your own wallet. Usually 2fa feature available only in the exchange. Some peoples use exchange wallet more than personal wallet because they think it is more secure. |

If i remembered, cryptocurrency price was decreased in jan 2018 after the hype in last year. When did you buy your coin ? Many peoples bought crypto when hyping, and many of them i think already sell and left cryptocurrency because this bear market stay long. It is no use if you pull out your investment at this bottom market. |
