2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any ALTCOIN ever overtake Bitcoin ? on: August 21, 2018, 05:58:14 PM
It's almost 8 months of 2018 and we have not seen any reasonable hikes for the altcoins,
It was only Ethereum that hit a good value of almost 1.4k$ in the beginning of the year . Since then it's pretty dull.

Forget overtaking can any ALTCOIN ever reach a value near Bitcoin.
There can be an altcoin that can reach more value than bitcoin if it is in a pretty less supply than bitcoin and its Miners collaborate to sell it above the price per bitcoin, there have been a few times when an altcoin was higher than bitcoin due to their rarity but currently I am not able to remember their names if I come to know then I'll definitely update this post. But from the top 10 or top 50 coins I don't believe anyone of them can pass the price of bitcoin.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My opinion about ETH on: August 21, 2018, 12:48:10 PM
In my opinion , ETH is now more hot than BTC because the explosion of ICOs base on ETH Blockchain. During the recent dip, ETH price even a little come up, all altcoins and BTC holders lose funds but ETH holders still have profit. So i think that ETH will reach BTC price this year. What do you think guys?
Etherum reaching the price of bitcoin will make it the biggest market and also will create a huge supply of Etherum that is very very manipulated as Etherum can't ever reach equal to the price of bitcoin because of the fact that there is infinite supply of Etherum in existence as compared to mere 21 million bitcoins ever created in existence. So it is theoretically impossible for Etherum to reach the market cap of bitcoin.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you learn about other cryptos? on: August 21, 2018, 11:25:12 AM
Curious to know how everyone finds and learns about all different sorts of altcoins. I personally go onto coinmarketcap and just find a random coin, and then research it's name on google. How do you do it?

Check out this masternode service I found... They're really changing the game... >>> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3213738
I have the Altcoin board in my watchlist and also having email notification on, so whenever a new topic is posted in Altcoin board, I always get an email alert saying that a new topic named xyz has been posted. This keeps me aware of the new upcoming altcoins and ICO tokens also as bitcointalk is the most used crypto related forum and most of the projects have an official topic here.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO collects $1.5million in 50 hours? on: August 20, 2018, 02:41:56 PM
I've been looking into ICOs recently and I noticed that ORCA raised 1.5 million dollars in 50 hours during the ICO's first round. Is this typical in the current market state? What does it say about the project?
I have seen this kind of post in many a days as here used to be very scary posts like market is gonna crash n all,but this has made me believe in cryptocurrency again as watching the market loosing money each and every day can make anyone sick of it and same was the case with me too and now watching that there are people that are doing a lot of hard work even now is very joyful and I will again try hard to earn more and indulge more in Crypto.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cheapest altcoin on: August 20, 2018, 02:22:12 PM
Hey guys can you tell me which is the cheapest cryptocurrency that is worth investing

You can invest into verge that is a very popular cryptocurrency which also see a few pumps periodically in a week or so. Other possible altcoins are digibyte which is also a pretty good coin having a huge hashing power driving its network which means it is constantly being mined by people and having a good support also. Pivx is also a pretty good coin and recently taizen a crypto expert and youtuber made a video about it.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what coins are best to buy now? on: August 20, 2018, 02:00:31 PM
First of all, Bitcoin is increasing its market dominance steadily and therefore I think that it may be a good idea to purchase some BTC after converting your alts (especially ETH and XRP). Other coins that look attractive includes ADA and NEO.
I don't think that converting our alts especially now in a pretty dumped market is the right choice as we will be facing a major financial loss due to selling alts in dumped market, so the best case scenario is that if you are having any spare money left then you should buy bitcoins from that amount of money as in this case you wouldn't be loosing any money at all.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you think alt coin market will crash? on: August 20, 2018, 01:41:35 PM
I recommend you to stop being nervous and panic) everything will be fine, the market is on the mend .
The market isn't at all on the mend, it is still in the dump period and each coin is loosing value in the long term whereas they gain a few dollars each day but at the end of the day the net value of that coin still remains in the negative. So anyone could panic, I mean one year ago Etherum was at about $1k and now watching it at $300 below shocks everyone even including me.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think that the current situation will overcome soon? on: August 20, 2018, 01:03:22 PM
We all are waiting for a revolution like the last year. I believe this it will happen and I am also waiting. Traders and investors are eagerly waiting for this. At the end of this year, Bitcoin will hit at least $25k and Eth will hit $5k and I can't think anything without it anymore. This revolution is badly needed in this bearish situation.

What is your point about it?
Please share
Bitcoin can hit $25k, I can digest this. But Etherum hitting $5k is way over my head and this isn't realistic at all because Etherum has already rose to this height from just $8 in January 2017 and now you are saying it can again show this kind of growth! You are out of your mind buddy. The main reason behind the Etherum rising to $1k was ICO craze and now as it is declining so the price is also declining with it.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do lot of people hate bounty dumpers? on: August 20, 2018, 12:46:57 PM
I've seen lot's of people who complain to bounty hunters who dump their tokens after they get them. Why hate them? They have all the rights to sell whenever they want and bounty allocations are only 1%-5% of the total supply of the coin. I don't think it will do much to lower the price of the coin. I mean it's even good for the ICO investors as they will have a chance to buy more tokens with lesser price than the ICO.

Holding the tokens also doesn't mean it will make you rich. Some tokens get abandon by the developers so it would be better to sell at a good price than be left hanging in the end.
You got the point here that investors are getting more cheap coins but they will only purchase if they have the guts to do so as most people get scared once they see the price falling and not invest in it again and some of those investors who are new in this also sell their tokens because they panic in the down market and don't implement their thinking and when they sell the coins and see the price increasing then they cry because of selling their tokens for too cheap and wasting their money.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what kind of projects you'd like to invest on: August 19, 2018, 05:25:49 PM
I wonder what kind of projects you'd like to invest. some projects are not so popular, but they do are good projects, and would have a bright future.
My top most priority is the use cases of that coin as this is the important step for investing into any project, if there isn't any real world usage of that coin then there isn't anything for me to invest into that project. Then I look at the team and their profiles and how old they are, if they are newly created then I avoid investing into that project. The last thing I check for is marketcap if all the tokens gets sold even including the amount of tokens held by the team of developers too as if the marketcap is already reaching more than $50 million after the ICO then the chances of making money are close to zero.
I hope these points helps to choose the best project that you ever invested into.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It could take 2 years for the market to recover on: August 19, 2018, 04:48:12 PM
I wish I was joking but this market will take at least 2 years to recover and build momentum again.
Market fundamentals have changed!
Yes the market is going to take at least this much amount of time to recover and I also believe that in that time at least I will accumulate much wealth that when the market returns to what it was back in December 2017 I will be at least a couple thousand dollars rich. I believe that the market will rise again when the next bitcoin block halving will take place, but until then we must work hard to accumulate bitcoins at cheap price.

15  Economy / Economics / Re: Factors that affects the value of bitcoin... on: August 14, 2018, 08:53:06 PM
Hey guys,  i need some suggestions and opinions about this.
The factors that affect the the value of Bitcoin are mainly market sentiment and the circulation of news and rumors in the market. If there is a great news regarding bitcoin then the price rises rapidly and if there is some kind of a bad news then the price falls otherwise keeps stable and hovers in the same range.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do older people like investing in Gold/Silver? on: August 14, 2018, 08:35:55 PM
I'm not one who would invest in precious metals, but I have noticed that a good amount of the older generations are pretty keen in investing in these metals. They see it as a way to bet against the market, and a security that will always be safe -- even in the times of a market downturn/country failure as a whole.

I personally wouldn't even want to buy these metals in those events, as I don't see the reason to. I'd rather invest in securities that go up when the market shits itself (Payroll lending companies and so on and so forth)

Does anyone here know the reason behind people loving precious metals?
From their childhood they are listening to their parents that gold and silver are the best investments as they are precious metals and are safest to invest into because their market value falls rarely but will keep on rising in the future, so that's the reason that they love investing in gold and silver and not in other means as they think that those means are quite risky to invest into.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you approve this strategy: sell alts buy btc? on: August 13, 2018, 07:06:56 PM
I read this article, but I want to see opinions, would you sell all your alts to have only bitcoin now ? I don't think this is recommended

https://cointelegraph.com/news/buy-bitcoin-sell-your-altcoins-says-pioneering-wall-street-blockchain-analyst
I am stacked up on bitcoin now I am buying alts because they are dumped more than bitcoin so when the market comes out from the dump period then I can take away a good win by selling those alts and some of them are waves, navpay and navpay is also a privacy coin so it's pretty good to invest in that coin.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: How Long Crypto market will take to recover? on: August 13, 2018, 06:39:41 PM
We all know this year is one of the worst year of crypto, market is dead and new investors are in fear to enter,  My portfolio is 75% down as compare to January. How long this market will take time to recover?. I am stacked in holding.
Crypto market has been falling from a long time and it's very hard to believe that from the start of 2018 the price of bitcoin has been the same without any changes in it except a few times and that too was very short lived. This low market has made many people to leave crypto market and do their regular real jobs.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fake volume in exchanges on: August 13, 2018, 06:16:20 PM
Found an interesting article in which one guy did some datamining on some popular exchanges and their volumes:

https://medium.com/@sylvainartplayribes/chasing-fake-volume-a-crypto-plague-ea1a3c1e0b5e

Apparently a few of these giants are falsifying their volumes. Maybe because a higher market cap would make people think it's a more trustworthy exchange? I don't know if it's really worth going through all of that effort.

Would this have a major effect on the prices? I know we used to see huge differences in prices in the past, but now you won't see much more than a few percent here and there between exchanges.
Yes that's the reason why exchanges fake their trade volume as if the trade volume will be more then more and more people will join the exchange because it will provide liquidity when the people will sell their coins as the market crashes if some large order is executed and there isn't enough liquidity.
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your favorite exchange? on: August 12, 2018, 10:21:36 PM
There are many exchanges out there. Which one do you use and why?
Thanks!
I prefer trading on bittrex and poloniex but in past I frequently used yobit for trading. Recently I have started using binance and I am actually liking this exchange as it is having pretty good amount of volume for trading so if you have a huge bag to sell then binance can be the exchange that you can use as it will not be making the market drop.
