With the pre-mine still in what I think every one thinks to be the dev's hands, theres not much that can be done w/o huge risk , you can promote it, thats always good regardless of if the dev(s) are here or not, you can fund it by putting up BTC to buy it.. or you can just wait and see.. or.. you can dump. It sux, believe me.. I kno.. and for some of you the percentage of how much it 'sux' is alot more than me, but, with all that coino floating out there in one wallet , the logical thing for me personally to do, is mine it when I care to & hold. Thats all I can do. Just my opinion, you can copy/paste this into that survey thing too if you like, but I personally dont like using those sites.

So far this survey has only been running for just over a day and we have 30 respondent already. At this moment the opinion is almost 50/50 for the first question "Should Coin(O) stay as it is?" and just over 70% would like to get more involved. I will publish the results of the survey next Tuesday as it will have been running for 1 week at that time. No matter what the results, we will try to organise a Google Hangout that all will be welcome to join, to discuss these results and decide where we go from there. So, if you have any interest at all in Coin(O), please do take the survey, 30 seconds if that, and put forward any arguments for or against that will be considered. At one end of the scale well be that nothing happens and things stay as they are and at the other end a new coin is born. Hi everybody. As many of you may be aware, there has been some discussions, both in this thread and on the Coin(O) IRC channel, regarding the current state of Coin(O) and what we as a community can do about it if anything. If you have any interest in the future of Coin(O), other than pump 'n' dump, then help us make a community decision on any future direction Coin(O) should take. No coin can survive these days without a vibrant community behind it and that includes YOU, no matter what your feelings or interests in Coin(O) is. Following these recent discussion I have created a really simple survey where YOU can voice YOUR opinion of what YOU would like to see happen with Coin(O) going forward. There are plenty of community members, both in IRC and here, that would like to be more actively involved in Coin(O)'s future. So, if you are one of them, or even if you have no opinion, please do take the survey. This is an opportunity to have YOUR say as a valued member of the Coin(O) community. I see your point 100%, however my approach is this.. allow it some time, a week or two more.. mabey a month, then start w/e it is you wanna start. ( Im still not clear on how you could take over anything, as a group, or individual, marketing, action plan or w/e ). Trying to keep people calm.. good idea, but people need to really REALLY realize , that crypto is not some get rich fast scheem, there may have been a day, before my time, where a few MH was absolute bank. Those days are no longer, and haven't been from what I understand for quite some time. Believe me, I remember the days when Coino in its infancy, was an ok profit, not great, nothin to get all razzle-dazzeled by..but decent. Dev's havent appeared in a few weeks, are you aware of what happened with one of the dev's parents? I dont want to speak out of line here.. but there was to the best of my knowledge a death in the family, resulting in the remaining parent ( elderly ), alone. Now I don't wanna toss stones.. or air any ones family business that isnt mine..and TBH, I don't know that as absolute fact, however.. if it is the case, when they make appropriate arrangements for their immediate family business to be handled, and things are a bit more calm, I would know, that if it was me in that position, I would be hurt even more, by an Idea, that others believed in, that I helped create & come to existence , being.. I cant think of a good word here.. critiqued so soon. I know when my mother passed away, it was a SH^# storm with the Estate, and this n that, it went on for months, and thats just the legal end, not dealing with the personal side of stuff too.
Again, I will reiterate I Can't vouch for the validity of this, BUT.. if it is, and I really have no reason not to believe it isnt fact, I would like to know, that as a whole, we stood behind them. I think your intentions are genuine, however, realistically, the community dosent own the rights to move forward with the coin in its intended direction.
FTR, I'm just a lil ole miner guy.. I have no big bux.. no crazy portfolio, 1 GPU, and a whole lotta chair time. I know people put lots of hash on this, and more than likely lots of FIAT, but try and remember, that on the other side of the coin & monitor, there are people too, that unfortunately things happen. It's not a perfect situation, no fairy tale's ending here @ the moment, and again I do understand how anyone, myself included, kinda head tilts a lil here.\..sometimes alot.
I really am just saying the same thing over n over @ this point.. and Im sorry for turning this into some deep boring thought... but from my perspective, keep talkin, keep the ideas coming.. keep the faith.. and give it a lil more time.

Yes, most of us here are aware of the dev's recent family issues, and yes I do feel for him. However, it has highlighted a really serious issue. It is unlikely that there is any German Marketing company behind this coin. That means it is built on a lie, and that does not go down well with the community. I also am not a serious miner, I have only 1 R9 270X that mines at night while I sleep, no big ass rigs or anything. If this was just for money I would have been long gone with the rest who have jumped ship. Two weeks, no communication in this game is a BIG deal and a marketing company would know that. The reason I am here is probably the same as most, we were suckered in to start with. But now that I ma here, I like this community and I do like the coin even without the promises of debit cards etc. So I am sure all of the people over in the IRC would love to have you there, you don't need a big swinging dick to get into this club, just a want to see Coin(O) grow in the long term with a committed community I disagree, any marketing company I know of, or any company for that matter, isnt fully composed of people capable of 'alt-coin development'. It's probabaly a side project, as any one who would put their entire marketing companies gusto into an alt-coin, needs to go back to Buis Econ 101. Two weeks no communication , and no giant dump = not a big deal. The days of insta-mega profits are gone. This is a reality in all alt's. And will only continue to dwindle with 'asics' . I'm not jumping on the 'its a lie' bandwagon after 2 or 3 weeks. That would be insane from an investment standpoint. But it would fit the ' I want max profits NOW NOW NOW mindset. The days of Now now now, are gone. And considering how the coin reacts to increased net hash the only way this coin will increase in value, is an increase of mining, which will in turn increase difficulty & thats not happening, due to the 'now now now' mindset. If theres any one to blame, its the people not mining it, because they want to be swoon with 'action plans' & hype on an hourly basis. Like everybody else here, you are entitled to your opinion. There will always be pros and cons to every argument, otherwise it's just an agreement What a boring world this would be then. I suggest that a lot of the future in Coino could be to have everyone in the community of developers be open about who they are and what they do. If you take a list of all the alt-coins and then remove everyone which is "anonymous" you aren't left with much. That in itself could be a huge advantage for Coino. Plus the neat name. I'll go next... I'm Bill Gade, I use bgade on pretty much every forum I'm on. I'm new to crypto currency. Its a hobby for me. But I have dreams of eventually having a sideline in it. In real life, I'm the CEO of the 83 North Group. We do a bunch of things... we own and operate a trucking fleet, a retail location with computers and Sears catalog, a printing shop and a wireless ISP. We also own four radio stations in Manitoba, Canada. They are licensed over the air broadcasters and include: CJSB-FM, CJIE-FM, CJBP-FM and CJVM-FM. W/e happens happens.. im not selling my coino , not now.. not ever probably.. and I'm cool with that. People get all up in arms, but forget the unbelievable ammnt of time they put in the beginning. If I was coino.. and came back to see all the dread talk.. Ide be mining the snot out of it.. getting all I can for myself.. and showing all the ney-sayers where to go.Then reap the rewards for my hard work.

I think what everyone is busy thinking is the same thing - that a single developer of a coin went somewhere for a while. That might be school exams... might be a vacation... might be a lot of things. They might even come back. The inherent problem is that means Coino is based on a lie. It was promised as having the support of an entire marketing agency behind it. The sting of finding out that was not really true is what upset so many people and started the dumping. You know its true because the entire marketing agency didn't go on vacation at the same time. There was a fair amount of work put in originally. There was even a press release on a paid newswire. That work led to a high value for Coino. When that work stopped happening without any discussion/comment from Coino, it led first to worry then panic. The last post from Coino was dismissive and sounded like a bratty kid - which just confirmed everyone's belief that they had been had. A real marketing agency would have been trying to pick up the pieces and talk the talk. The fact they didn't proved again that there was no master marketing agency in the background. The reason everyone is waiting patiently for April 1st... is to make sure no decisions are made in haste. Its fair that by that time, if the developer is still around they will show up and say something. If they don't, its safe to assume they are long gone. If they do, they need to do more then be dismissive. They need to discuss where they have been, where the roadmap is at and then continue on with the support of the community. And so we wait patiently... with a nice side effect being that everyone who isn't patient and doesn't make solid plans left already. That means those who do wait are the ones who can probably do the work needed. +1 |

I can't say I disagree with you at all. However, the doom and gloom as you say could have easily been avoided by the dev's popping in once and a while to keep the community informed and reassured they are still working behind the scenes. Nobody wanted a blow for blow account of what it was they are doing on a day to day basic, just an update. The problem is unfortunately, the dev's have failed to show up in either their own forum, this forum or on IRC recently. This alone brings into question the claims of a German Marketing company being behind this Coin, and if that is not true, then what is? These are not my words by the way, these are the words being spoken by many of the members here. This has a hugely negative impact on the community as people start to post 'angry' and sometimes insulting and inflammatory comments about them. I don't agree with these comments and have tried to dull them down on occasion but people will vent their frustrations anyway. |

mmmk. Actually..not mmmk.. how bout you try and contact the dev's , instead of some bullish assinine hostility noncense that is at best a joke with thie april 1st crap. Your boring me, and the miners.
Many of us have tried to do just that to see what is going on or to see how we can help. There has been no response from them so far. If you look at my previous posts, and those of many others, you will see that this is in no way a hostile take over. My preference has ALWAYS been to have the original dev's continue and for the rest of us to stay out of the way. Unfortunately, the lack of engagement by the dev's over the last few weeks has resulted in a lot of hostility in the Coin(O) community, and that has directly lead to loss of faith, dumping and a huge reduction in network hash. This is not about a take over, this is about people not wanting to walk away from their current investment in Coin(O). If the dev's are not prepared to support the community, then the community needs to support it's self |

List of Exchanges Coino is currently on. (That I know about.) 1. https://www.cryptorush.inTicker = Coino -Cryptorush.in has been a solid site to trade on. I have always used them and the Coino community on there has always been fair with prices. It does seem to have the highest Coino volume for buying and selling. The only problem now is that Cryptorush has been having technical problems for the past week and seems they have been hacked twice or more. Some good news though is that new leadership is taking over and hopfully we will see better stability on the site in the near future. 2. https://poloniex.comTicker = CON -Poloniex.com is the second biggest exchange that Coino is listed on. The volume of Coino moving on there is good and the prices seem to follow pretty much what I see on Cryptorush. I do not like the fact that the ticker for Coino on poloniex is still "CON", but maybe they did not get the memo when we all decided to change the name. That still does not detract from the sites useful function of trading Coino though. Poloniex is my number two exchange for when Cryptorush goes down. 3. https://www.coinmarket.ioTicker = CON -CoinMarket.io is being shut down. Explanation right from their site---> "This is a untested beta version of the exchange - use it at your own risk. Please do not deposit any kind of coins. Please cancel all orders and request a withdrawal. CoinMarket.io will be shut down when the problems are solved. Do not use small automated deposits from a pool account. Please leave feedback at the bitcointalk thread. Trying to abuse or flood our system will result in account/balance loss!" As in stay away for your own good. I am happy this place is being shut down. Coino or any other coin for that matter does not need negative publicity from being listed on bad exchanges. The sooner it goes away the better. 4. https://www.allcrypt.comTicker = CON -Allcrypt.com has Coino in it's listing, but there are absolutely ZERO trades listed on there. I do not know anything else about this site. 5. https://www.cryptsy.com/Ticker = Not listed yet, still in voting. -Cryptsy.com does not have Coino listed, but it does have Coino up for voting. You get one free Cryptsy point to use on voting for the coin of your choice once you are a registered user. After you use your one free vote then you have to actively trade on the site to earn more Cryptsy points, or you could buy them for BTC or you can just deposit into the BTC account listed for Coino to buy votes. Cryptsy does have alot of BTC volume move on a daily basis. It could be good for Coino to get listed on there, but with the current level of votes we have it is going to be awhile before Coino is active on Cryptsy exchange. 6. https://www.mintpal.com/Ticker = Not yet listed, still in voting. -Mintpal.com is another prominent site with a high volume of BTC being traded. They too have Coino listed in voting. All users are limited to 5 votes per hour or you can buy votes. Just like with Cryptsy I do not know if Coino being listed here would be a good thing or not. 7. https://www.icurrex.comTicker = Not yet listed, still in voting. -Icurrex.com is a site I just learned about today. This exchange is not up and running yet. Coino is in the voting section of the site. You can place 1 vote every half hour. Like I have said before these are just the exchanges I have seen and afew of my own thoughts on them. I do not believe Coino should be on all major exchanges, but I do believe with the limited exchanges that we are on it would not hurt to be on atleast one major exchange. Especially since from my count we are down to 2 functioning exchanges and right now they seem to be having some technical/security issues. pppfff this coino is not dead and will NOT be dead in 2 months. There are things going on behind the scenes that will ensure the coin remains stable AND a responsible DEV team. I do not care if the current Dev comes back or not. This coin is moving forward with or without their help.
The only concern I have is if the Devs do come back and if they are maintaining the road map, where they are at on it and what they have done thus far. I do not want to cover ground that they are covering. There is no point to developing something as a competing factor to a coin that we are all invested in.
As in please have confidence and know that we all care what happens. We as a whole control the fate of Coino and when you dump it you lose.
Half the alt coins on coinmarketcap look dead, but they will come back to life when bitcoin does. I expect coino will do well them, especially with what the new devs are planning. Look, BitCoin is at 600 US... It's already come back from 300 so this is no longer an excuse. The crypto market has moved on and accepted the situation with BitCoin and are now getting back to business. Most alt coins will die, that is the nature of crypto currencies. The good ones have good teams and clear ideas about what they are, this is where WE as a community need to get to with Coin(O) |

When is the web wallet coming out for Coino? I know it says March but is there a precise date?
We will be discussing this after the 1st April if it does not get released in the mean time. Basically, a web wallet has been created but the design needs to be completed. The dev's initially supported this but they seem to have disappeared into a black hole over the last few weeks causing many to lose faith and abandon ship. Thus far the dev's have NOT failed to deliver on their road map. However, should they remain AWOL and non commutative come 1st April, then discussions are already underway in the community about where we go from here. The web wallet would be one of the first things we will probably concentrate on, this is of course on the assumption that the original WebWallet dev is still with us and still interested. If not, we will need to start this exercise again from ground zero. At this moment, we are still mining and biting our lips with disappointment, especially at the way the price has plummeted. But I can assure you there are enough interested members of this community and on IRC prepared to take Coin(O) forward come the 1st April. |

List of Exchanges Coino is currently on. (That I know about.) 1. https://www.cryptorush.inTicker = Coino -Cryptorush.in has been a solid site to trade on. I have always used them and the Coino community on there has always been fair with prices. It does seem to have the highest Coino volume for buying and selling. The only problem now is that Cryptorush has been having technical problems for the past week and seems they have been hacked twice or more. Some good news though is that new leadership is taking over and hopfully we will see better stability on the site in the near future. 2. https://poloniex.comTicker = CON -Poloniex.com is the second biggest exchange that Coino is listed on. The volume of Coino moving on there is good and the prices seem to follow pretty much what I see on Cryptorush. I do not like the fact that the ticker for Coino on poloniex is still "CON", but maybe they did not get the memo when we all decided to change the name. That still does not detract from the sites useful function of trading Coino though. Poloniex is my number two exchange for when Cryptorush goes down. 3. https://www.coinmarket.ioTicker = CON -CoinMarket.io is being shut down. Explanation right from their site---> "This is a untested beta version of the exchange - use it at your own risk. Please do not deposit any kind of coins. Please cancel all orders and request a withdrawal. CoinMarket.io will be shut down when the problems are solved. Do not use small automated deposits from a pool account. Please leave feedback at the bitcointalk thread. Trying to abuse or flood our system will result in account/balance loss!" As in stay away for your own good. I am happy this place is being shut down. Coino or any other coin for that matter does not need negative publicity from being listed on bad exchanges. The sooner it goes away the better. 4. https://www.allcrypt.comTicker = CON -Allcrypt.com has Coino in it's listing, but there are absolutely ZERO trades listed on there. I do not know anything else about this site. 5. https://www.cryptsy.com/Ticker = Not listed yet, still in voting. -Cryptsy.com does not have Coino listed, but it does have Coino up for voting. You get one free Cryptsy point to use on voting for the coin of your choice once you are a registered user. After you use your one free vote then you have to actively trade on the site to earn more Cryptsy points, or you could buy them for BTC or you can just deposit into the BTC account listed for Coino to buy votes. Cryptsy does have alot of BTC volume move on a daily basis. It could be good for Coino to get listed on there, but with the current level of votes we have it is going to be awhile before Coino is active on Cryptsy exchange. 6. https://www.mintpal.com/Ticker = Not yet listed, still in voting. -Mintpal.com is another prominent site with a high volume of BTC being traded. They too have Coino listed in voting. All users are limited to 5 votes per hour or you can buy votes. Just like with Cryptsy I do not know if Coino being listed here would be a good thing or not. 7. https://www.icurrex.comTicker = Not yet listed, still in voting. -Icurrex.com is a site I just learned about today. This exchange is not up and running yet. Coino is in the voting section of the site. You can place 1 vote every half hour. Like I have said before these are just the exchanges I have seen and afew of my own thoughts on them. I do not believe Coino should be on all major exchanges, but I do believe with the limited exchanges that we are on it would not hurt to be on atleast one major exchange. Especially since from my count we are down to 2 functioning exchanges and right now they seem to be having some technical/security issues. So just my two cents, if anyone knows of other exchanges please post them or let me know and I will update this list here. If this gets onto a large exchange we will be absolutely dead in the water before we even get our feet wet.. Large exchanges are great for pump 'n' dump and driving the price of new coins through the floor. There are already TOO many exchanges listed above for Coin(O) already. I will support ANYTHING the community want's to do with Coin(O) going forward, with the exception of listing on a big exchange. In fact, I would want to remove Coin(O) from some of these existing exchanges. |
