61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is SCHARMBECK Shutting Down? on: February 12, 2014, 02:27:15 PM
i am the previous operator of the mineworks scharmbeck pool (yes it sucked)

I can vouch for both sagefit and xodianbarr. as everyone knows i sold out and told nerdcustoms i dont wish to continue due to the situation with wdc and scharmbeck. and so it was merged with nutnut's nut2pools.
The state of WDC is a complete shambles. the current wdc devs originally focused on wdc as a general and scharmbeck was treated as a completely DIFFERENT entity. however as of the recent months it has become clear that wdc + scharmbeck are one and that without scharmbeck wdc is a failure/ UNOCS v2 . both me, sagefit, xodianbarr and numerous other people have put this to the devs with very little action taken.

The End result here is: wdc and scharmbeck is dead, move on. (You can't call people scammers for doing their job especially when things were different at that time)

For WDC its a coin, it dies no big deal. As for Scharmbeck, no one would have cared if it died if they didn't crowdfund half a million dollars at cryptostocks and pretending to be legit al the time.

If they claim its not a scam they should buy back all their shares at least with whatever BTC they have left. Or wait, let me guess, they burned $0.5M in 2 months?

EXACTLY!!!  Where is all of the money??  Why is no one addressing this question?  The second round of shares conveniently enough started to be sold at the end of January instead of second week of Feb (I believe) Like originally stated.  Why the RUSH?  And why offered with some weirdo hanging carrot prize?  Can ANYONE explain this at all?  All of you in charge now who were on the board when this happened a few short weeks ago were around.  WHERE did all of our money go for those shares?HuhHuh

Funny how everyone is pro coin when price goes up and most change their mind when price goes down and coin faces challenges.
Hypocrites, do yourselves a favor and go learn the basics of trading, economy, marketing. Always realise the risks you are taking. Dont just throw your money at something that shines. If you lost your money because you bought from top, then that is your own fault. Learn from it and do better next time. No one deserves to be refunded just because they made stupid decision.
Also take a look at WDC forum. You might see some refreshing information.

You have a lot of nerve.  People here aren't COMPLAINING about fluctuations of the coin price!  Are you crazy?  Do you not understand how violated people feel to have been scammed into buying shares of something with promises of some 500 BTC bounty???  One that was NEVER going to be given away?  If there was such a conflict of interest before this was offered then I would think that the individuals on the board who were worried about the integrity of "scharmbeck" would not have promoted such a lottery.  It has NOTHING to do with the coin obviously.  Just like GUNS on their own don't shoot anyone.  This is NOT the point.  Admit the trickery and move on.  Only then will people think about giving WDC board some respect...  maybe.

EDIT:  Also, forget about the 500BTCs.  Take that out of the equation and it's still unsavory to sell the shares.

what the #@$%#! is up with this Scharmbeck scandal?

Did the site take peoples money and not deliver or something?

Yes. The least they could do is return share money to the holders that are still listed on cryptostocks.  But such nobility will never be seen I assume.  Who needs banks when you have cryptos like these?

Also, is it coincidence that my WDC transfer took over 15 hours to get to Cryptsy from my QT so I could try to sell it last night before I took an even bigger loss just now?  Anyone else have this convenient problem?

Judging by the graph on Cryptsy right now, it doesn't seem like I am alone.  Hope you enjoy your luxury vacations laughing at everyone WDC Foundation.  Too bad you were my first coin...

Spread the WORD?  Why doesn't the Worldcoin/Scharmbeck team spread some BTCs back to all of the people who are sitting here at a loss for buying into this BS.  How about taking that bait and switch 500 BTC bounty and giving it back to the people who were stupid enough to buy a few shares at a high price (like myself, yeah I admit it)?  I still have them and you can send the money back to where you sent me that "dividend" a few weeks ago.  Until then, I will NOT support anything that has to do with WDC.  Thanks SOOOO much for your time.  Just dumped all of my coins.  Sorry to everyone who believed in this.

Wow, I was actually reading through this whole thread last night and I got inspired to go purchase a chunk of Klondikes.  I just went to Coinmarket.io and I have to say I have changed my mind.  A never-ending stack of buys for 10 coins at a time just to make a point and desperately sustain a pricecomes across as adolescent and obnoxious.  I can't even see one legit buy order to be able to tell what a real demand price might be.  You are hurting your coin and it's unfortunate because you have obviously worked very hard.  Good luck sorting things out.

Go check Coinedup instead, there are 10 BTC buy orders at the top.

Well there were, 4.5 BTC left

Thanks, just went back to coinmarket.io and buy stacks were gone.  I really hope it was some sort of strange glitch, but I've never seen that before.  I think I'll wait a few days and see how this gets sorted out.  Great community support here though, gotta say.  Back to sorting through all the crap coins :-(

Actually it happens on a lot of exchanges with a lot of coins.  I spend a lot of time on CoinEx and I see it all the time.  It's people trying to manipulate the price of a coin to their favor since the small transactions can easily sway the market ticker and hopefully influence other buyers/sellers to create a run.

When you see long runs of similar small coin orders like that, just ignore them.

:-)

I'm really impressed, no one bashed me for my aggressive comment I hastily made.  Good time to buy!  Now if only I wasn't taking such a loss on my Worldcoins...

Yes, i don't know how that asshole is, but it happens a lot with coinedmarket.io listed coins...they want to hide their bigger buy order.

Yes, I apologize if it wasn't anyone inside the KDC circle.  I just assumed it was because I saw some posters in this thread talking about setting the walls over the past 24 hours or so, hence I might have jumped to conclusions.  Thanks!

vel are not our enemies guys, i prefer qqcoin, however vel is a good coin too. I'm not surprised their devs take care of their own baby before us.

however as a community we can push QQcoin forward anyway.  The coin let's face it is the fastest out there and has many other great qualities. It really does need a chinese market though since the name QQ is actually very much angled towards them. It's a great coin with low minting and still a low price.

The biggest enemy to all alts is constant new alts each day, most of which are simply copy and paste clones with nothing but a different name.

I def prefer QQ to VEL, especially for it's classier vibe. Bought some yesterday, just wish I had a MAC wallet.   I don't appreciate the childish videos with puppets and girls in bikinis to promote VEL.  VRTcoin didn't resort to childish behavior and is doing quite well.  I think this may give QQ the advantage in the long run after all of the adolescent popularity contests die down.  JMO.  Go QQ!

Hi there,

Very interested in VEL, but why no Mac or Linux Wallet? I don't feel comfortable leaving coins on any exchanges these days for obvious hacking reasons. Not to offend but it seems like all of the coins you promote don't care about the anti-microsoft crowd.

Also, I checked out the Chinese trading site per our instructions but it appears that you cannot trade to BTC, only CNY??

Thank you.

Mac Wallet?  There has been plenty of time for one, no?  I'd like to purchase some qq but don't want to leave on the exchange...

Hey, maybe you should post the mac wallet on your official website?  It works fine.  Entered the nodes given by OP and all is connected.

Thank you for the explanation Norris.  Still trying to get a handle on how things work in this arena.  I guess I got a little defensive about one of my favorite coins.  Glad to be a part of the community.  Great news about Coinpayments.net!
