Hello can you switch to the latest release/tag and compile again ?

The Chinese community can trade on Bittrex but there are a few limitations they do not need at Bitshares. For one, they need to use a VPN connection to connect to Bittrex and for second they need to understand the English language.
So there really is a language barrier for some of the people there. The Chinese community made special translated howto’s for Bittrex in there own language, but they still need to use a VPN.

With the swap completed for a while now we are working very hard to get everything back to work. So far most of it is up and running already. and everything is going as planned.
More positive news: We like to welcome a new member to our team: peterli360! peterli360 has been working with Whitecoin for a short time now and some of you might already have notice him on Slack.
peterli360 is a developer by hearth who is aiming to help where he can! He is a experienced C++ developer that is willing to understand and work with the Blockchain technology.

With a new member joining the team we also haven't heard much from Malbee and Surfguy72 lately, so we can assume that they have left the building and moved on.
Therefor we are looking for some new people that can help the team doing some small PR and maintain questions on the Forums/Reddit/Twitter etc. So if you want to help, be sure to reach out !

I understand you're frustration, i really do and feel sorry for the people who missed the swap. But in the beginning of this year we have made the announcement that a swap was comming up. After we made the announcement the blockchain became unstable by the old coin age and few stakers. So we got forced to speed this process up.
If we did not act we would have been de-listed, and like many other coins it would have died.

Now with your post i feel you are making it personal and create false accusations,:

Why would i step out after 3 years, if i would have want to step out i would already have done that in 2014 or something. Or with selling those 65M coins that were left from the swapping period. cmon man.. are you seriously trying to make false accusations here ?
I made a promise in 2014, that as long as there is a community i will develop for Whitecoin, why would i bail out after 3 years ? and especially after a swap that costed us a lot of personal money.

Second of all, People would have questions if we still haved 65217841 XWC in our wallet that was ment for the swap. How do you feel if a developer has the coins for another 6 months ? 12 months ? 18 months?
i promised to destroy the coins once the swap was done and so i did.

Around 80% got swapped (248000000 is the current supply after the destroyed coins, and 65000000 got destroyed), a lot of coins were lost during the Mintpal and Cryptsy scandal (although less than i expected). As stated in the post i have linked. We were facing a delisting from Bittrex as the blockchain became unstable. and at that point we would not have been on any exchange anymore.

Like i said in a private message i'm really sorry for this to happen. But we needed to set a deadline for the manual swap and keep it. Other people are depending on the deadline as well.
A 3,5 month swap window is a reasonable amount of time to preform a swap, We have tried to inform as many people on most different ways that we could.

But it's your own fault that you have not checked the swap status page if your tx was appearing or not. if everything was ok it should have been listed there.

i'm truly sorry for this.
