1  Other / Meta / Re: reCAPTCHAs on: September 24, 2018, 06:44:20 PM
I've face some issues when it's one of those "click until there are no more" ones, or the really blurry ones where it's so grainy. Or if it's the road one, I never get that on the first. or 2nd. or 3rd.That, or I solve the recaptcha and an ad pops up instead and I have to do it all over again.
2  Other / Meta / Re: How do I know if I was hacked? on: September 23, 2018, 06:29:46 PM
We all know bitcointalk was hacked in 2015 there is a lot hacked accounts. May be some backdoor in forum software, they are using Powered by SMF 1.1.19 | SMF © 2006-2009, Simple Machines software, which is very old but that doesn't need to be reason. I'm on that forum from 2013 and got hacked in September this year. I don't know how that happen.
3  Other / Meta / Re: Will the Quality Post Really Get Merit? on: September 23, 2018, 06:21:35 PM
Yes it is we just need to continue what we are doing and keep up with the level of the mods and devs, for if we increase our efforts with in their level we are making a big not just for the community but for ourselves, for if the project rise up and so are we.

4  Other / Meta / Re: Will the Quality Post Really Get Merit? on: September 23, 2018, 01:34:03 PM
A merit can be compared to "like" of face book, twitter and other social medias. But the merit points reserved for us are limited. We can give merit to the person who has a great contribution to the forum such as producing quality post and comment. Smiley Smiley Smiley
5  Other / Meta / Re: Dear Newbies: Please don’t buy Merit! on: September 23, 2018, 01:05:42 PM
since bitcoin talk has launched a rule about merit point 1 is required for jr. member some of newbies buy merit points through ETH or BTC. but i think newbie can get 1 merit point if he/she post with logic and authentic.

7  Other / Meta / Re: recovery my account on: September 22, 2018, 06:00:03 PM
i think better to move new one because there is less chances to get back it.and my personal opinion is not to use old one if it hacked.

9  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the price of bitcoin rapidly going down on: September 15, 2018, 10:10:18 AM
Trading or investing in cryptocurrency is a psychological war against yourself. Stock traders often say that investing in traditional markets requires extreme mental discipline. That discipline is how they control themselves when the market is volatile. How they stop from making stupid decisions, and keep on track with their strategy.I’ve been in this space for a few years now. I started off as a investor but fell deeper down the rabbit hole. I work with an accelerator helping token sales, and recently joined the team of a project I fell in love with. I like to think this gives me a comprehensive understanding of fundamentals at play. What this understanding of the players involved in this market has given me is..Well, the knowledge that this market is almost completely sentiment driven. Which means it doesn’t always make sense. Crypto has more retail investors than any other market. You can see this if you look at the Bitcoin price chart next to a chart of Google search trends for the word “Bitcoin”. The charts are pretty similar, it would seem, The more people that google Bitcoin, the higher the price goes.Bitcoin Price Over 12 Months
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency exchange got bigger on: September 15, 2018, 10:05:35 AM
certainly offers an adrenaline rush. In 2017 the price of the cryptocurrency soared from less than $1,000 to nearly $20,000, then tumbled to a low of $6,647.33 over the weekend after a South Korean exchange said it was hacked. At press time on Monday it was trading at $6,768.00.The investment signals remain mixed: Google search activity on bitcoin has declined by 75 percent as the price swooned from that $20,000 high, but major Wall Street firms are making investments that show they expect cryptocurrency to remain a part of the financial landscape.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Why lot of countries do not allow to use Crpto? on: September 14, 2018, 07:00:30 PM
across the market are plunging because users all around the world fear that trading cryptocurrencies could be banned. The last country that announced a possible ban is South Korea. Officials stated that trading cryptocurrencies could be banned entirely, or at the very least it would be regulated. This fall affects all cryptocurrencies, not only Bitcoin, which, as the best performing cryptocurrency, has dropped by more than 15%.South Korea isn’t the first country to ban cryptocurrencies. Last year, countries as Vietnam, China, Bolivia, Ecuador, Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh and North Korea did the same.

13  Other / Meta / Re: Selling Bitcointalk Account -SCAM on: September 14, 2018, 06:53:50 PM
Consider what happens when someone buys your account. It’s not much different than someone who hacks into your account, and you don’t realize it. You’ve spent months, and maybe years building your account and lots of people on the board have seen your account. Perhaps they even know who you are. The new account holder happens to be a shyster who’s operating a business to steal people’s money through Bitcoin. Your once legitimate account where all of your friends kept in touch with you is now being used to tout an illegal operation as legitimate. Your friends think the account is still yours, and they send you a private message, but instead of it being you who receives the messages, the shyster receives them and replies with rhetoric. He’s able to convince your friends to use his service and steals their money, and your friends now despise you as they think you stole their money.
14  Other / Meta / Re: Censorship on the Bitcoin talk forum on: September 14, 2018, 10:05:41 AM
The owner of Bitcoin Talk and an anonymous individual named “Thermos”, has banned all talk of breaking protocol upgrades from these forums. In a 2015 post, he states that users cannot talk about any hard fork upgrades on his forums, unless those upgrades already have consensus
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Can Be More Efficient Than Bank Transactions on: September 14, 2018, 10:01:07 AM
Satoshi Nakamoto, the inventor of bitcoin, titled his original white paper on the subject "A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System." This description touches. By contrast, credit card transactions entail the buyer effectively authorizing the seller to 'pull' a payment from their account, passing through several financial intermediaries in the process. For example, a typical Visa transaction involves four parties: the merchant, the acquirer (the financial institution that enables payments to the merchant), the issuer (the card holder's bank), and the individual cardholder. When making a bitcoin transaction, it is not necessary to provide personal identification information such as your name and address. Bitcoin transactions are made using an anonymous alphanumeric address that change with every transaction and a private key. Payments can also be made on mobile devices by using quick response (QR) codes.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is Bitcoin? ✅ on: September 13, 2018, 08:31:42 PM
The lack of security has raised concerns about the risk of owning these virtual currencies as hackers continue to breach the exchanges, forcing one bitcoin exchange in South Korea, You bit, to file for bankruptcy in 2017.
The uncertainty emphasizes the hazards investors face daily in their attempt to profit from bitcoin, ether and other cryptocurrencies. The debate on whether bitcoin is actually a currency or an investment continues as the Securities and Exchange Commission considers it a security, the IRS treats it as property and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network says bitcoin is a currency. "As cryptocurrencies like bitcoin and ethereum become more popular and more valuable, the services that support the buying, selling and trading of these currencies will increasingly be targeted."
