1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank account froze after selling btc (UK) on: August 31, 2019, 04:03:13 AM
That is not cool. It is crazy how you don't even have control over your own money using fiat and banking systems. Using crypto you have complete control.

Guys I'm not operating as a trader i wasn't buying and selling. I had btc. The price went up and I'm at a point in life where I needed cash. So I sold. That simple.

Anyway they have closed my account and returned money to source. No explanation. No clue to what source. The bank is Monzo sure I've said the name already but if not. Avoid!!

Banks have limits of movements, if you go over those limits you get flagged. Best thing to do is ask them directly before doing it, how much money can be moved in a period of time (ie a month, a week, a day) before its considered bad.

And yes different account types have different limits, again the wise thing is to ask what limits there are so you avoid triggering their freeze mechanisms.

In my country moving about 400 USD can freeze an account, consider yourself lucky...

Savings account have the lowest limits, followed by the checking account (both personal), then come the business type etc. Depends on bank and country, but the important thing is always ask before using it, so you know what to expect and not get surprises.

Moving 400usd can freeze your account? >.< How do you buy anything?
Most banks should just move your status up to the next one if you have larger movements. They also offer you a discount on fees.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin and GOODBYE on: December 21, 2017, 04:55:00 PM
Alright

"Bitcoin is king" "Bitcoin will keep growing" "Bitcoin is the leader" "Bitcoin will never be replaced" -newbie.
Why are people still so convinced about this?

Because it has proved to be true in the past numerous times

Bitcoin is great, we learned a lot of it. Without Bitcoin we wouldn't have those other cryptocurrencies.
But just because Bitcoin is the pioneer doesn't mean it can't be replaced.
Bitcoin Cash is just a clone with bigger blocks, this will only solve the problem temporarely. So forget about it.

Yeah it can be replaced and of course not by BCH. But till then...

It's clear that Bitcoin isn't the best coin anymore.

Yeah? And which one is it?
It might be clear to you but I doubt it pretty much.

I'm not naming other coins because I don't wanna make this a pump post.
You don't want to pump other coins but you do trash bitcoin....

I hope Bitcoin will fail soon. It has had enough time to be adapted to its use of today. Why can't Bitcoin be as good as other and better crypto's? I have no idea. But in my eyes it's already game over for Bitcoin.
I know theres gonna be a lot of fanboy hate coming to this post. Don't make them ruin this topic please.

You can always have a party with proudhon and nagle anticipating the fail of bitcoin.
Just make sure  you have reservations for the next century.

LE
Just checked you previous posts.
XBC Bitcoin plus fanboy detected / enough said.

Lol

Just to add to what you already have said to the OP

so OP  .....

You don't want to name coins yet you already named 2. There are hundreds and you choose two. You only say that ypu don't want to pump and coins because you can't name a better coin and btw don't flatter yourself you not going to pump anything.

Dude if you don't like btc dont use it. We don't care.

Good reply btw stompix
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What plans to deal with more and more unconfirmed transactions on: December 21, 2017, 04:48:26 PM
There are thousands of unconfirmed transactions lately.core team is there any plan?

One plan was already deployed, that was the segwit activation, but wallets and exchanges are still taking to long to adopt it. I mean do you have a segwit enabled wallet right now? If you had, and other users had it to, and exchanges, etc, the fees would be a little lower, just because of that.
The other plan, is of course the development of the Lightning Network, and that one should solve the problems once and for all. The problem is, that no one knows when this will happen, and people are not very patient normally. Bitcoin exploded to soon, and most people are just searching for fast profits, and don't understand that they need to wait for the technology to mature.

Exactly. Its just a waiting game. Just let the Impatient greedy idiots sell all their bitcoin for useless fiat. We will just watch them fight among themselves like savage beasts because we don't need the drama because there will never be a need to sell our bitcoin since bitcoin is currency and is the future and these people are simply put just foolish
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How taxes can work for bitcoin one day. on: December 21, 2017, 04:43:37 PM
One day we will be living in a different world where only cryprocurrency exists. People often say but how will we keep an infrastructure without tax money and how will you tax bitcoin?

What if tax worked like VAT did and it worked sort of how it does when you pay import duty. Different items will cost different amounts of tax which will be collected and sent to the government each day or week or month or whatever is decided. Yes you can do private transactions and not pay any tax but you couldn't do that to often since you might have your business assessed if you only claiming to sell x amount of items when it should be at least y amount of items.

Another way an infrastructure can be built is without tax and instead business and companies offer shares in what they do and people will invest to profit and some of that profit will go back to the company so they can continue their work. For example a company that makes concrete another that makes roads or bricks or buildings. Each person would need to gave an investment in something to support the infrastructure. So I guess it can be called taxing but its taxing in a more decentralized way where x % of your total income must be invested and used to support the essentials.
6  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin community is rising. on: December 21, 2017, 04:32:22 PM
What do you think a about it? is it good or bad for bitcoin?

It can only be a good thing to have more and more people involved and supporting bitcoin. Brings up the value and makes it more mainstream and normal as more and more people start using it over fiat. I don't think everyone will use bitcoin but one day people will all use cryprocurrency.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: December 21, 2017, 04:29:00 PM
It is risky to cross the road. You can lose your life by passing car. It ia risky to invest in bitcoin because you could lose a lot of money. Do you see where I am going with this? If you really believe in bitcoin you could turn all your money into bitcoin. I have almost all mine in bitcoin. Come this time next year bitcoin will have gone up so much there will be people saying "I wish I bought a bitcoin at $20000 I could have been rich" that time will come.

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people still play dice? on: November 27, 2017, 01:12:41 AM
I feel dice game is gambling which its fun, sometimes i win and lose, that is becouse all our fate which determine.
It's fun because it is a game that is very quick in terms of displaying your wins or losses. People are still gambling with because of it and most of the people doesn't have time to play head-to-head games like poker as they just want to spin like roulette.

Not only dice game but many other games also give results instantly and no need to wait for the results. Dice game mainly no need any experience to play because everyone can easily start playing this game and that's why it has attracted so many gamblers. I also started first online gambling with dice game apart from sports betting.
That's the reason behind its been popular due to its no skills required its just a pure of luck base type of game which will determined your fate, though its really risky and the chances of losing is always bigger than your winning still gamblers loves to risk and have some fun.

Yes it's an easy way to gamble so people are still playing dice even there are times that many are losing. The real risk there is you can lose your money easily as it will give you the desire of gambling more when you are experiencing good wins.

Its easy to play and because people think its easy to make money because you only have to make one of two choices so if its not one it must be the other. This isn't true but people like to think they can just change sides and stop a losing spree. Its all very fast and instant gratification.

The 50% ROI is fairly high but it won't be if inflation gets hold of it and strangles the price. It's also very early to tell and the graph is so over the place I don't know what to think right now.

14  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 FAST play/invest, maximum transparency, distributing BTG now on: November 24, 2017, 05:31:41 PM
Yolodice is very good. They have done this with bch and now btg. I don't know of any casino who does this and it is a good feature to have.

Maybe have investing or playing in bch or btg?
Ethan has said in the past he will only be distributing the BCH/BTG for now, it will not be possible to play/invest it.

However, he is working on integrating LTC and possible other coins in the future. Smiley

This is good news. I think its great that Yolodice are supporting more coins and giving people their bch and btg it builds trust. Definitely I worthy place to gamble. Tha k for the reply.
15  Economy / Gambling / Re: CHANGE YOUR LIFE on: November 23, 2017, 11:49:59 PM
So you expect me to gamble my money and lose all my savings...
LoL
Gamble is gamble, its always based on luck  Grin

It depends on how far you want to go to get to your dream. How long you will chase it up to you. I say risk what you can afford and be done with it. You probably won't win but so what? If you do win its a life changing amount and you won't ever have a regret. Just don't expect to win and pour your life savings down the drain. That is not bow responsible gambling works.

17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any tricks available in gambling to won the bet? on: November 22, 2017, 06:26:14 PM
What trick? Like cheating the gambling itself? If that is what you will do then it's possible but if you are talking strategies on about timing or patterns then you are just making it hard and more complicated for yourself. It does not help and it's just another creative way to lose your money.

People actually think or try to find out the gambling tricks forgetting that if this could happen people would have made so much money that casinos would have to shut down and not remain open if they start giving the money in this way.

People want an easy money and don't want to work hard will believe on these tricks and they don't want to accept these results are based on only luck. What you said is 100% correct. If any tricks work then many casinos need to close. That's why I usually fix small amount every month to play these games and try my luck. But so far got some luck in sports betting but in casinos games or dice no luck.

That is how it should be. Try your luck with a a certain amount each time and stop there. Thinking anything else or that you can change the games outcome is foolish and gamblers fallacy. I don't think k there will ever be tricks because it is all worked out before hand with maths.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: November 22, 2017, 06:24:15 PM
before when I win gambling I use to withdraw my win and exchange it for fiat then I will buy shoes, wears and lavish the rest but gone are the days. now when I will gambling I invest my winning in some cheap Altcoin. I think this is good compare when I use to lavish it but honestly it take self discipline not to lavish the money because when you win you forget about all your hard work in selecting bet and previous lost. what will be on your mind is how you want to lavish it but you can overcome this by having a predetermined plan even before you won any bet.

That is what most people do. They just want to spend money as soon as they have it. Not thinking of the future. Its better that you buy altcoins. There is a good coin 808 its cheap right now and is a good pos coin. You might want to try that. It might turn out better then gambling.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] <808% apr> Drop the Bass!! 17%+ eligible after 8.08+ days on: November 22, 2017, 02:33:00 AM

I have been developing a web browser MMORPG game.  It will be possible to buy upgrades with 808 (among others). It will also be possible to get rewards in 808 from it.  Im also working on another project where a Twitter account sends tweets if paid with 808.

The Cryptopia API is helpful, but I'm still not sure of a way to automatically process an 808 payment (when coins are received, API sends positive response, PHP scripts do something as a result, etc).

I'm not even sure there is a fully operational 808 Block Explorer (it could help in having a PHP script decide if coins were received or not)

- - -

That's awesome. When it is done please let us know so we can spend some staked 808.
I hate that the price has crashed and something must be done. For anyone looking to make good money now is your chance to buy some 808 while its cheap.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help, scam or not? on: November 22, 2017, 02:29:27 AM
Hey man they offering you lunch in exchange for half an hour of your time I say go for it. They not asking for money yet. Tell them you won't invest without actual proof the miners exist. If they can actually take you to the miners so you can lytrally touch them then I say go for it definitely. If they have excuses as to why they cannot show you the miners or even a video of them then stay faraway.
