Does anyone know Tom's identity? Is he still with us?

I did get a new email for Tom or is it Tim Hamon?? today.  I hate to nag someone if they're not interested.  But there's a few people I feel should be included like him, bhcoins, and now BTCC (though doesn't have an entry in the book yet due to being new)

I also tried a couple times each, but didn't get replies back from PMs or emails: Antana, Alitin, Cryptocoin warehouse, Nolacoin, Recalescence, cryptovault, Nolacoin.

I havent asked yet: Antaui  (Worldcoin), Coinbull (ebay seller),  Banx Capital (closed), Coldcoi.in (closed), Geek Bitcoin (closed), Jinn (closed), Mike Murphy (closed),  Jose Rodriguez's Startcoin (closed), Sol Noctis, and some others in the book, as well as some of the newer mints... Squallcoin (new), Cryptocracy (new).

If any of these mints (or any that I'm missing) are seeing this thread and would like to participate, kindly PM me.  I would donate 0.05B on your behalf to a charity for your participation.  My preference would be if you live in the U.S in the essence of time, since I don't want to extend this too long.

I'm really interested in a set as well. I haven't seen any prices thrown around. Any ideas there bithalo? Thanks for all the hard work, really cool stuff! Smiley

Thank you.  Its been a lot of PMs & emails back & forth with all the coin makers (not just the ones who participated), and work getting the packages prepared.  Though basically only bhcoins and Ravenbit were really the only two makers I couldn't get a response back.  Mostly everyone that I asked agreed.

I think its a cool project to have all coin makers involved in something together.

I have 20 of each bhcoins and Ravenbit holograms if anyone else wants to throw in some to help "complete" the books

Also, could you use a pre-printed signature like the one below??

Thanks

That would be awesome if we can get both their holos for all 50 sets.    I really want to have bhcoins and Ravenbit in this project.

I got another email address for Ravenbit today from a fellow user, and sent yet another email.  I've probably tried 3 PMs (asking a few times) and 5 emails trying to ask Tom at Ravenbit.  I feel like a stalker at this point.

I would prefer to keep the signatures consistent and hand-signed.  I think it wont look right and isnt my place to include signatures that weren't signed and approved by the coin makers.  My COA will state that all signatures have been hand signed and sent directly to me from the coin makers.

There are a still a number of coin makers I haven't asked yet, but I didn't want to ask everyone, because some names are more obscure or less popular than others.  It also would make pricing rise, and I don't know if people wish to pay for some lesser known coin makers that produced coins not often spoken on the boards here.    Some examples are: spyco.in, Bull coin, Antaui worldcoin, Sol Noctis, etc.  I could also ask some of the newer mints that recently started this year, but aren't in the book.

The only other mint I've been trying to get an answer from is BTCC.  Bobby Lee contacted me back once last week, expressing some interest, but after repeated attempts by me to Bobby's direct email, I haven't got back any more replies back.  Since they're overseas and appear to show less interest in the project, I would hate to have the labels never get back to me and hold up the sets.

I might be in for a gold plated unloaded for both 1/10 and 1/100.  Curious if there are plans for a gold pl. custom denomination

Prices have not yet been released, but I can give you a ballpark.
 - The hard-cover version will sell for $150 once ready (pre-orders being taken).
 - Of the 20 hard covers that will be sold with the signatures and holograms, I placed the first 5 on sale which went for $450 each. That's a $300 premium, and the pricing for the remaining 15 is not finalized.

The 15 remaining books will be offered for sale later on, or you can make a special request for a specific number.

Oh, I was thinking he was selling just the autograph/holo packs alone, as I already have your signature series v1 book (Love it btw, thanks)! Smiley , and wanted to supplement it with these perhaps at some point.

So are all the autograph/holo packs going directly with book sales? I'm still confused, sorry, and thank you! Smiley

Edit - Thanks MN, I was wondering what that was all about! Tongue

Pricing is still TBD, since I wont know for sure if all the coin makers that I sent out will come back in time.  I've received back as of now, 6 packages back, and so far everyone who uses holos, has included them along with their signature.

Back when elianite announced the AE edition, we had 17 signatures, and no holos or extras planned, and the premium was expected to be around $225-$300 for the Encyclopedia.  We've added a lot more since then.  If everyone's comes back, I will have 28 coin makers, with possibly 24 of those will have their holos (some coin makers do not use holos on their tokens), along with a doodle by BitcoinPenny, and some extra signatures that I've been asked to keep as a surprise.  My OP has the list of coin makers participating.

Out of the total 50 serial numbered sets being made, about 15 are going to the first set of coin makers who agreed to participate and prefer a set, another 20 are set aside for the Encyclopedia Hardcover Autograph Edition, 3 set aside to minerjones in case someone wants a new softcover with the autograph set added, and the rest (roughly 12) being sold as loose sets, for anyone who already has a book, whether its a softcover or one of the new regular edition Hardcovers, that are still in production.  Pricing will likely be around $325-$350 for those 12 loose sets for sale.  I will also have a few sold in auction.

Here's one pic that Luckybit sent me for his labels, so you can get an idea.  Labels are 1 inch x 3 inch on acid free archival labels with foil backing.  Some of the bigger holos are being put on separate 1.5 inch squares of the same quality label.

Many of the coin makers who are not receiving a free set, will instead have a 0.05B charity donation being made on their behalf, as well as 5% of the proceeds of the loose set sales also going to charity.

I still cant believe 1 ltc coins got emptied....

I know right, what did this loser even make off with, 300 hundred us bucks or something stupid crazy?  Huh

More to the tune of $60,000 worth of stolen Litecoin from sweeping all the private keys, as well as taken pre-orders for coins never delivered.  He took fully pre-paid orders from me, for a Silver 1B and 2B, and never created the coins.

Here's a little auction that I seriously considered outbidding the winner on, but decided not to, at the last moment.  This solid gold coin was never created either.

If Zepher wants the #9, put me in for one gold #11.  I'll give him first dibs based on the previous issues.  If he doesn't want them, then I'll take the #9 gold.

You are welcome to take #9 gold  Smiley

Ok then.  I'll take #9 gold if you're passing on it.

517  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Question] What are the general sizes for holos on physical bitcoins on: July 01, 2016, 10:44:53 PM
I've done some research on this recently.  The average seems to be 1 inch, with generally the largest at 1.25 inches.

519  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Coin Collector Cases? on: June 30, 2016, 01:33:08 PM
Okay bithalo, I'm getting Quadrum holders! They look so much better than the boring round capsules. Do you have a source that sells them below €5 euro for 10 pieces?

The cases that work with the quadrum (aka Lighthouse or leuchtturm ) holders are very nice.  They have a high gloss piano finish with a velour indented surface that fits the holders, as opposed to just cutouts of cardboard I see on a lot of round capsule displays.

I purchase direct from pinnaclecoin.com or get them from their ebay listings.

10x 39mm (for 1 oz Silver) sells for $5.05 on their site.  I dont know if they ship overseas, but other sellers would of course.

I purchased wood cases from www.pinnaclecoin.com with correctly sized slots to hold ANACS slabs.

and similar ones for Quadrum 2" square holders. Here's a few cases of mine.  I have now maybe 6 of these.  They come in different finishes like piano gloss black, white, as well as silver, gold, and wood.

We finally get a glimpse of your excellent collection  Cheesy
I really like the square holders and how they display!!!

thanks

Thanks mj
