Is there anything happening behind the scenes for this coin or is it just dying the slow death?

Logo is no impress of all , anyone can design new logo
Design is something very subjective. So far, most of us like the logo being different from other coins. May I know what you think is an impressive coin logo? I kind of agree. It feels so basic in colours and boring, i think it should look better with a more metallic look, as a real coin. The design around the coin should be removed and perhaps placed inside the coin itself as an outer line. Maybe we should have a logo contest and raise a bounty? Start a new thread for that perhaps? Probably in the future. We are focused towards gathering funds for the multipool bounty and other development. Personally, I prefer a flat design. It is a crypto-currency after all so it should look different from a real coin. Just my 2 cents though. The current logo rocks! Blew me away when AC was resurrected and was the first sign AC was going to survive. So yeah, it has some sentimental value for me as well.

.... You can start by checking out the "zerocoin" branch of https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoin and looking in src/libzerocoin . Try reading Tutorial.cpp to get an overall feel for how zerocoin works, then move on to understanding the rest of it. Most of that code was not written by me, by the way. .... Curious, who wrote most of the zerocoin code? I would imagine only a handful of programmers in this world have the right knowledge and skills to implement the zerocoin algorithm.

I'm interesting in it. How can I participate ?
Well, that depends. What are your skills? I can fulfill all your requirement, and 1 month available. We will need to integrate libzerocoin with Anoncoin: - loading and saving zerocoins
- pushing zerocoins into another wallet file (creating a new one if doesn't exist), and pulling them from another wallet file
- updating the protocol
- updating the blockchain format (both network and on disk)
- the Qt GUI
Also join #anoncoin on either Freenode or Irc2P (preferred). I'm there more frequently than here. When zerocoin is successfully implemented on Anoncoin, all the developers will be immortalized forever in bitcoin history -- the first to implement a truly anonymous coin.

The reason we used MediaFire was its huge popularity in Asia, and the ability to track downloads easily.
Sure, I will upload them on another website tomorrow.
Mega.co.nz links are ready on the website! WindowsMac OS XLinux 32-bitLinux 64-bitCheers mate! Much cleaner as well as better peace of mind. And can these links be added to the original post as an alternative to MediaFire? I recall there were only a handful of Asians with Asiacoin according to a poll unfortunately. :-( Hopefully, that has changed a bit. Go AC!

The Chrome browser is detecting the download file (.zip for Windows) as malicious and deletes it. Can the new wallet/client be available for download on a different site? MediaFire is also full of bogus and misleading links. All this makes it a suspicious and dodgy website. Horrible representation of Asiacoin safety in my opinion. And when I first click on the link to MediaFire, MalwareBytes says it is trying to access a malicious site. Maybe try https://mega.co.nz/ instead.

Batch 1 will hash at the same speed as Batch 2 by the time batch 2 is released.
I'm looking at KnC's twitter and there's no mention of Batch1 equaling Batch2 speeds. Can you provide the source?
|
|
|
Yes, very entertaining, especially for anyone who doesn't own any. Let the drama unfold.
|
|
|
If Batch1 remains at 300 MH/s, you'll likely find a seller. There are plenty of Batch1 customers peeved about Batch2 being 33% more powerful at 2/3rds the cost. You can try to arrange a swap with a Batch1 customer by purchasing Batch2.
|
|
|
So KnC thinks a Batch1 customer can easily make up the $3k difference in one month and stay happy with 75% performance of a Batch2?
And will I get their used ones from their own mining rigs or a new one?
Bogus.
To new miners: Screw buying centralized 3rd party mining equipment. You'll always just be a sucker and their source for free money.

When is the last day for 100% PoS minting? Can someone update the schedule on the original post to show the last day for each stake period?
Cheers!
Great to see support for AC going strong. Will donate.

Having a temp coin representing NEM ownership would create more buzz. That I agree with. Stakeholders like to watch their investments on an exchange.
|
|
|
Not sure why there is a question mark with NEM on the sheet. But please definitely add NEM.

|
I thought new coins with the name "bitcoin" in it were not allowed on this forum because of the confusion it will cause. There have already been several copy-cat-bitcoin-named coins in the past here.

I'd believe in all these promised features if Syscoin came out with a compelling app at launch. Alias auctions are good but they certainly do not turn heads or are in big demand.
Syscoin sound like it wants to do things similar to NXT, NEM, Mastercoin, etc. -- bitcoin 2.0 stuff. Mastercoin came out with a decentralized exchange which made me notice them a lot more.
Coming out with a new coin and having TBD's everywhere on all the proposed killer features and apps will make a weak launch. But having something tangible will make you guys stand out from the competition and attract more investment imho.
Raising funds is always a challenge. MaidSafe's fund raising was successful because they had papers, videos, showed their faces, had some meat to chew on and digest in their blogs, etc.
I'd trust syscoin more if I saw more meat and a better website -- a single link back to this thread is not very convincing.

Hello, I have tried many designs and here's the only one I'm really satisfied with. I prefer the question mark as ANC symbol rather than the A as the question mark directly suggests anonymity. By adding a square to the question mark, it draws a locker and a A. So you can find in the logo concepts of anonymity (the question mark), security (the locker), anoncoin (the A), and coin (the circle). Here's a few variations in black, white and gray: And for those who like colors, I've made a little jsfiddle you can play with (just click the image to pop the color picker) http://jsfiddle.net/SQ4Jk/5/embedded/result/I hope you like it as it will probably be my last try AGostrfZbpPSv9rCZQ1vfFrZHYNMbZEZyZ I like this!! And not just locker, you can see A , all in one! The last one is my favorite. I like the last one. I like the top right one with the color suggestion. That's my vote. In general, I prefer the "?" one over the pyramid one.

I cant wait to see new wallet. I have sleeped better since i now know that i will get some of money back that was ment to use summer festivals. I think u should hold for the longer term, i mean ppl just want to get money out, you guys should be aiming to help and ask to get more venders, better art, whatever ur talent is. I do not like this attitude of "Oh nice now i can get some of my money back", change ur mentality as Asiacoin itself is money. Let them dump their AC. The sooner they get transferred from weak hands to stronger ones, the better. :-)

WARNING: DON'T GET PREYED AT BY ASIACOIN BAGHOLDERS
All this "strong community" is looking forward to is to get its scam coin back on the exchanges and dump the coins before it eventually dies.
They'll tell you anything that helps them to get rid of the asiacoin bag they are holding!
Don't fall for their desperate lies! It's the very same scam coin it was 4 days ago.
Use your brain and invest into something that wasn't a scam from the start.
You can stick to your close minded opinion that a community cannot band together to fix a scammed coin. Yes, the original AC dev scammed all of us but can't we band together to make things right and even better? I am sure there will be panic selling when the new wallet comes. It is almost impossible for us to avoid that. While there are people who are going to dump their AC, there are people who are going to buy. it's a different story to put the train wreck back on the rails and hope it will last for another mile or two and some tourists will buy a ticket because they haven't heard of the crash and think this is how trains are supposed to look like in this part of the world. your blatant greed is despicable and this whole affair is a disgrace for the altcoin scene. That's probably where you are different in your opinion. You can only accept that we put a 'train wreck' back on the rails but we actually repaired the 'wreck' into a function state. Perhaps you cannot accept the idea that this train wreck is repaired to a usable state. Sure, I am greedy. After all, I am a 13+k AC whale. =D Then dump your AC CrunchyNut and let the markets decide what to do with AC. Give the new devs tremendous credit for getting this far this fast. A lot of folks asking why do all this in the face of a scam. The best answer I read? "Because we can." As far as I know, this will be the first turn-around coin after a scam. Isn't it cool to just see what happens? Rock on!

So far we have shared the new wallet source with the following exchanges:
Mintpal Cryptsy Bittrex Poloniex Bter.com C-Cex Coin-Swap CryptoALTeX Atomic-Trade
If you know another exchange who previously listed Asia Coin, please let me know. Our priority is to share the source to the exchanges that previously listed Asia Coin, but if any new exchanges are interested, please contact me and I will send you the details.
Unbelievable jaw-dropping progress. This new dev team rocks! Phoenix from the ashes....
