682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [VIDEO]The Nasty Secret of Bitcoin Exposed on: January 17, 2020, 02:34:57 PM
What a lot of rubbish and the video is terrible quality too just like the content.

If you don't like bitcoin go somewhere else.  No one is forcing you to take part it's your own free will and choice.
683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Advice on Raspberry pi hardware for running full BTC node on: January 17, 2020, 02:27:38 PM
Another thing that helps take the load off the initial download process is do it on your main machine then just copy the data to the PI HD I found this to be much better than leaving the PI to download the chain.

On the cooling side I have noticed some liquid cooling kits and some processor coolers like below, This one is called the Ice Hat seems to have had good reviews in the space and relatively cheap too

I think now we are seeing kit's like this come out the next round of PI may just come with some additional cooling and some more power I hope

I edited clone and then cloning it again , on new version i see below error :

Do you know how to fix it

I would just forget about trying to clone funcoin it's a waste of time to be honest not only is the codebase so out of date the methods being used in the guide are out of date.

As a experiment it's fine but I would not release this if you make one also you cannot just clone a later repo and use the same guidelines as the codebase for Litecoin and Bitcoin have both changed drastically since this time and as such make a lot of what's in the guide outdated

686  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What are some decentralized/better alternatives to DNS Seeds? on: January 17, 2020, 11:33:54 AM
Some of the DNS seeds in use in bitcoin now are below :

Quote

        vSeeds.emplace_back("seed.bitcoin.sipa.be"); // Pieter Wuille, only supports x1, x5, x9, and xd
        vSeeds.emplace_back("dnsseed.bluematt.me"); // Matt Corallo, only supports x9
        vSeeds.emplace_back("dnsseed.bitcoin.dashjr.org"); // Luke Dashjr
        vSeeds.emplace_back("seed.bitcoinstats.com"); // Christian Decker, supports x1 - xf
        vSeeds.emplace_back("seed.bitcoin.jonasschnelli.ch"); // Jonas Schnelli, only supports x1, x5, x9, and xd
        vSeeds.emplace_back("seed.btc.petertodd.org"); // Peter Todd, only supports x1, x5, x9, and xd
        vSeeds.emplace_back("seed.bitcoin.sprovoost.nl"); // Sjors Provoost
        vSeeds.emplace_back("dnsseed.emzy.de"); // Stephan Oeste

https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/c20fbb7be864bb7652280d5855be89b6b04cdfd1/src/chainparams.cpp#L116

While I agree that there should probably be a more decentralized way of doing this I think it's worthy to have for new clients who need to download the chain I am not sure if you have checked the DNS seeder codebase yet so I will leave a link here for you.

687  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Building Your Own Javascript Mining Website(Own Coinhive) on: January 16, 2020, 07:06:35 PM
Hey everyone. I got some trouble about building my own website which lets me to use its inner javascript mining system to use on other of my websites' traffic(javascript cpu mining) and mine coins without fees.
Do you have ressources about my issue on github or somewhere, else some good ideas to build it.

In fact It do not have to be a website even if its possible. I just want to use my traffic for forcing my visitors' CPU to mine coins from my own system.

Thanks to everyone!

A few things to note.

1. This type of thing is actually Illegal to do without consent of the user and most people will frown upon a hidden miner utilizing there resources.

2. Coinhive shut down for a reason I think you might want to look into why they shut some more before deciding to do this.

3. the amount of time an average user spends on a site is very very minimal so the reward for this now is very low possibly not worth the time or effort.

4.  Most users now have blockers which stop this type.
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: some errors for cloning on: January 16, 2020, 06:54:51 PM
Off topic a bit but your not planning on building an altcoin from that youtube guide by any chance?

Just I noticed the funcoin git there that guide is outdated now and the code base used has some bugs and exploits now.

Feel free to PM me if your looking for something more up-to-date to follow.

689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Zerozed Project [x0z] | Zero-Zed Diffusion of Innovations Block Reward Algorithm on: January 16, 2020, 06:26:54 PM
It's too late launch coin faucet when you are worthless, 1 x0z only worth 1 satoshi it was just a waste of time and only mbuang sweat that does not produce anything. After all this thread is empty of visitors and you only talk that is not important.

I don't think your correct here faucets are very worthy to engage with new users I think it's a valid and good idea No one complained when bitcoin was worth peanuts and faucets were throwing out crazy amounts of coins.

Put it this way for very little effort now you may just be getting in on something very different to most coins out there.

Good work Calem good to see a faucet again!
690  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 253 blocks solved! on: January 16, 2020, 04:07:28 PM
Why aren’t you guys doing this on Kano pool?   Absolutely nothing against ck but at least on Kano solo pool you can get some reward back if it hits a block.  Plus it’s sitting on 15 peta for help to find block.  Yes your gonna give up some on the first one.  It’s the second one where you can all possibly come out ahead.  Just a thought.  Here your guaranteed nothing if you don’t hit a block.

Learning to manage risk.  Had to after being burnt in this endeavor.  Live and learn!

I think that is a great idea I did start a topic about the bitcoin client and how some of the features of bitcoin like block reward and some other interesting things like OP codes and the Genesis block.

I have been super busy with some other projects I have going right now and have let the topic slip some what but would love to know more about your idea and how I could help.

Thanks I do feel that one or two of them actually listened and I hope they go away and look at the info provided also I made it clear there is personal attacks from SV you-tuber and they said we cannot police everyone yet they seem'd to know who the guy was by name.

I really just wanted people to see they have a narrow narrative and when real tangible proofs are put in front of them they descend into the he don't like the "big bad ozzy man" was what they kept saying also the fact they then attempted to say Mr CSW would not have submitted that he probably just singed off on it which I find absurd.

Anyway gave them and there viewers something to chew on before I release the next big whammy.

Watch this space..  Cheesy

2Hr's 50 Min

Managed to break my way into there chat and asking the BSV community about the Stolen MTGOX coins listed as part of the Tulip trust..

Few of them said they think he should go to jail..
Then they tried to shoot me down and discredit me but the truth is out there...

Enjoy!

I clicked on that YouTube link, MagicByt3, and I listened to a bit more than 20 minutes of it (can I get those minutes of my life back?).  I did not hear any challenge to anyone on that call or even any reference to GOX coins including at the point that you flagged at 2Hr's 50 Min....

Very painful listening to them for more than a few minutes, especially when they start to refer to Craig as if he really were satoshi or had any credibility at all...  He is referred to an alpha male who knows things, instead of the narcissistic self-absorbed lying nutjob that he is.

Sometimes it seems that nobody can really believe those kinds of things, but hey you hear the nonsense coming out of their mouths and the level of dumb within that video even while they are proclaiming everyone else to be dumb.... except for the Craig acolytes and Craig's team.

Gosh, people surely want to be on the "correct team," so there is that kind of wanting to be on the correct team dynamics of wanting to stick to your team.. and maybe us bitcoiners are like that too?  I hate to believe that bitcoiners are attaching to the team in the same kind of way, but listening to those guys, it just seems that they are suggesting that they are the ONLY ones in possession of the truth.

http://prntscr.com/qmo7k6

Not sure why but on mine it's at 2hr's 50 as soon as you see the blue circle on the chat is when it is.
But it's 1000% in there.

695  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 253 blocks solved! on: January 12, 2020, 01:16:34 PM
I had a few rentals finishing up as well. NH kept cancelling them, happened 5 times or so.
Just major BS.
When we do it again, we should try someplace else.

Would be easy for NH to bump rentals not on fixed orders seems a little odd to me that every time we do a block hunt someone over pay's and bumps the rentals.  where as with MRR once you rent it it's yours no being bumped off the rental even a mix of the 2 may be a solution take some fixed orders on NH and rent a bunch of machines from MRR.

Seeing were back over 6ph now let's hope this is the run!

696  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 253 blocks solved! on: January 12, 2020, 12:41:49 PM
Ok, so the fixed rental is over.
We've got one left.
Ive created a new order on the us server, because someone keeps paying 0.024-0.025btc per ph on eu server.
Lets see how it goes here.

So we have got about ~4 hours left.
https://imgur.com/0Px52fh

p.s.

I think there is no more room for ordinary orders anymore.
The next time we do this, we have to sneak fixed orders, maybe a lot of small fixed orders.
But otherwise this is bullshit, the rates are stupid high, mf spend to much to rent, and mining keeps stopping.

Not going to lie MRR is a better choice than NH these days none of this orders cutting out or being over bid also if the speed is not on par you get some of the rental back which is rather nice.

On another note 217388863901.8888    <--- Come on lucky 888!!!

697  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 253 blocks solved! on: January 11, 2020, 11:19:52 PM
Yeah, some crazy bastards were paying 0.03 btc per ph, over paying insanely...
Now its almost back to normal.
Ive upped one of our rentals a bit.

to 0.0211
https://imgur.com/StihPVY

But yeah, if some one is gonna pay 0.03 again, we will have to sit out, we aint gonna pay that much, because its stupidly insane.

Good work man I was thinking it was probably someone bumping the rates again tbh happened last time when Phillip was doing his rentals.
698  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 253 blocks solved! on: January 11, 2020, 10:49:28 PM
We seem to be only on average

 "hashrate1m": "6.33P",
 "hashrate5m": "5.81P",
 "hashrate1hr": "8.58P",

over the last hour's or so everything ok with the rentals?  we were sitting at 12ph at the start but been below 10 for majority now.

700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: SEGWIT LTC.TBDICE.ORG 0.5% fee SOLO MM LTC/DGE POOL 3K+ LTC/7K+ DGE blks solved on: January 11, 2020, 06:35:04 PM
Someone is operating this pool and just ignoring the threads now I thought loshia was a good member but seems after he claimed he was hacked he's not been back to deal with any of the issues raised I for one will be adding flags to the account until someone returns and deals with the missing payments for members here.

The site is not clear enough and it's very scammy to new users who may not understand the address issues.

Loshia if your reading this do the right thing and come back and speak to the people mining on your pool it's your responsibility!!

He has been online on his 2nd accout but failed to respond to PM's or requests in the topic.
