I run 3 on 1200 watt power supplies.  I think you would be fine.

Got my tracking information as well.  Thanks!
5  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mining? Really? on: February 12, 2014, 02:16:36 AM
I think the biggest thing to know about explaining mining or even Bitcoins, is who is your audience.  If you are talking to a non-technical person, sure you can tell them you are making money out of thin air.  But if you are telling somebody else, all of the definitions here are great.

I'm sure everything will come in just fine.  I'll say that my order with greaterninja is quite large and as much as I would love to get mine this week, I don't expect them to come in until next week.  It just gives me a little more time to get everything in order on my side.
7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 11, 2014, 11:47:12 AM
The dates stamped on the miners are not when they were manufactured, but the model of the boards.

Anybody who has gotten one of the new antminers, does it come with the new firmware?  Or the old firmware?

Hopefully the shipment on the 10th isn't on a slow boat from China.   Grin

I doubt seriously he will be shipping today, it's Saturday.  I could be wrong, but I doubt anything will be shipped until Monday.

Right now $30k will get you about 6th/s.  That's for stuff that is in stock and shipping now.

I measured mine this morning, 387W on a Corsair CX600 which was not overclocked.

And then 429W when it was overclocked.

We were playing with our kill a watt meter this morning.  And here are some numbers on an non-OC miner.

A miner on a single Corsair CX600 was using 387W.  2 miners each on it's own Corsair CX600 were using 777W.

2 miners on a single Corsair AX1200i uses 722W.

14  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Another bitcoin miner manufacturer on: February 04, 2014, 09:30:12 PM
I can buy much less than $8gh/s now.  So why would I want to buy for more than $8gh/s in the future?

15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: January 31, 2014, 06:56:03 PM
I've set up 4 of them in the past 2 weeks.  The first one took about 30 minutes, since then I can get a new one up in less than 5 minutes.

They aren't very hard.

All I do is change the timezone, and update the ip address.  The machine reboots and I change the pool configuration and I'm done.

I think most people here have said that you should not use the wifi connection unless you have an external antenna.

A single s1 right now will mine about 0.003% on ghash for a single shift. But usually 0.000% for a whole block.

That is the stratum difficulty he has set.

16+ GH/s - 16 difficulty
32+ Gh/s - 32 difficulty
64+ GH/s - 64 difficulty
128+ GH/s - 128 difficulty
256+ GH/s - 256 difficulty
512+ GH/s - 512 difficulty
1 TH/s - 1024 difficulty

Ordered 3 more yesterday!  My 2 s1's are working perfectly so far.

19  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: January 30, 2014, 02:31:57 AM
I recommend that everybody get a refund, so I can get mine sooner.

20  Bitcoin / Pools / Does any pool offer daily stats? on: January 28, 2014, 05:27:28 PM
I have two Antminer S1's.  And I have been trying to find out which pool I like the best.  I have tried Eclipse and ghash.io, but the biggest problem I have with both of them is that neither of them tell you how well you did yesterday.  So there really is no way for you to compare one service to another.  I know there is luck involved in solving.  But why doesn't anybody have any historical information on basically how many bitcoins I mined yesterday or the day before?  Are they scared that people will leave and go try somebody else?

Or are these just the only two pools that don't offer this information?
