Damn 16 workers getting 5PH?!!
I have 6 workers and I'm at 115TH that's some serious horsepower we're pulling off of.

You can have multiple machines under same worker. I sometimes do that when I know they are stable.

You can find L3(+/++) all over the internet as they are worth almost nothing now. Not sure if Phil has some for sale, but you can check this forum for previous "WTS L3" threads or/and you can open a new one here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=75.0

In format similar to "WTB L3(+/++) prefer in EU".

As both Phil and I suggested already. Try custom firmware and see what the result is.

Nothing really changed, so try using different firmware. Also, do not hope for PSU. Bitmain will NEVER send you parts on their own even if you beg. You either buy it and hope it is the fix or you RMA it. But before that try firmwares and check visually tomorrow.
168  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: HELP with 2 T17+ :( on: September 12, 2020, 08:43:10 PM
That still not a full log.

This could be firmware screw up. Try using older firmware or custom one and then rebooting.
169  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: HELP with 2 T17+ :( on: September 12, 2020, 08:29:25 PM
Could be when electricity went down (and maybe up in same time) voltage hurt the PSU. Everything I said still stands. Try custom firmware with underclock and check the cables but if they are new from Bitmain, cables should be placed perfectly. PSU is connected via plates, they should be connected well, and it should be easy to differentiate Data cables and Fan cables. I do not know of any specific video, but you could look into "teardown of Antminer S17" or something like that on youtube. Otherwise, you can just start unscrewing screws and make sure you do not forget which go where as there are different ones (take pictures).

Or if you are scared to do that, just skip that part and try custom firmware and RMA the units if even that doesn't help, or just RMA right now.

Also, it should be obvious, but you should have already tried different PSU cables as well as rebooting miners 2-3 times just to make sure it isn't a bug in software (not that they happen often or ever for that matter).

You could also try different power outlets.

There is 20+ threads similar to yours which have problems with 17th series, so you can check them for more tips.

Also, if you cleaned them gently as you say (without water I assume), then that couldn't have caused problems.

first one repaired i reupload firmware. but the second one still saying this...

Nothing wrong there, you didn't let it finish the turn on sequence that can last up to 10 minutes. Just let it boot fully and then post the logs again.
170  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: HELP with 2 T17+ :( on: September 12, 2020, 06:45:53 PM
First one is odd one. Looks like failed tune. I'd try custom firmware for it.

Second one is even odder one. It noticed the second hashboard at start and then after voltage check it just decided to ignore it... Try checking if PSU has good connection with your hashboards and check all the cables, especially the ones that are for data.

Also, a little bit of history on units would be useful. Are units new? Did you modify them or clean them in any way? Did you try custom firmwares on those machines? What voltage are you using? I assume it's 220v.

Naravno uvek najbolja opcija licno.

Cry Cry

I have a quick look at filecoin mining, i read that nvidia is the go to card for mining (gpu is only part of the system that will mine).

also gpu need not be very powerful but not the low end kinds, there is high chances that 1080ti will do the job just about right.

if 1080ti can still make profits for you maybe keeping some is a good idea while waiting for filecoin main net.

Cool referral link...
Big oooooof.

Appreciate the feedback all!  Dumping them all here in the market place forum does sound pretty appealing, especially if someone would be interested in buying several all at once.  The 1080Tis are almost all EVGA SC or SC2 ones.  Would probably sell off the oddball ones on eBay, like my 4 MSI 1080Ti open loop water cooled ones since they are not really appealing to miners.  Just about all cards have original boxes and all original accessories.

I like the idea of having a mix of 1080Ti's, 5600's and 3080's.  My rigs are all mostly identical Asus PRIME Z270-A mobos with those 2400W server PSU's that are 94% efficient I got from Parallel Miner a while back.

I have never mined with AMD cards before, so that would be a whole new experience.  I use Awesome Miner to manage all the rigs.  Rigs are running mostly nvOC (Ubuntu) but a few are on Win10.

I had all my rigs on MPT Zcoin for the better part of a year, and switched to ETH to catch this recent wave where I saw North of $175/day, but am now back to about $75/day with most rigs back on MPT as it is slightly more profitable for me.

I'll put together a complete inventory list and PM you Phil.

I'd be interesting in taking a few 1080 Ti's out of your hands if price is good and shipping to Serbia doesn't kill the deal.

Kriptosi nisu zakonski regulisani a i inace mi imamo restriktivan zakon o deviznom poslovanju.

Imaju i bankomate takodje.

174  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: The Most powerful tool created for monitoring and management ASIC miners on: September 10, 2020, 02:38:56 PM
I can help you translate it to Serbian/Croatian - they are almost the same language with like 5% differences.
175  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ (70TH) Hashchain missing (but not always) on: September 10, 2020, 02:33:30 PM
It is a serious problem, and as I said, there is not much you can do to fix it unless you are well versed in repairing them.

Bitmain will never take only one hashboard for repair, you will have to send a whole unit (might be expensive due to shipping across half the world - assuming you are from USA). Also, if you decide to go through with only sending one hashboard to your reseller, be careful not to send that unit at a later time to Bitmain as I think they will count it as voided warranty if all three hashboards are not from same miner.

It matters on which side you put it. Big heatsinks should be on top as they are usually the ones that are loose.

Good luck with your project, report here in new thread when you finish it if you are up for sharing it.

Try Thierry's or Taserz's firmware, I highly recommend both. First one has lesser fees but less features, second one has higher fees but a lot of features (you might find useful).
176  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ (70TH) Hashchain missing (but not always) on: September 10, 2020, 11:42:19 AM
Firstly, yes, that is usual thing for 17th series of Antminers, and you have a sign of dying hashboard. Lose heatsink is most probable cause and there is not much if anything that you can do.

You can try putting it on one of the sides and gravity might help you. But since it is occasionally working fine, I'd recommend you to turn it on and when you see it having three boards up, do not turn it off EVER again. And pray to electricity gods that you won't have blackouts or brownouts.

Secondly, I am not sure why are you turning it off every night nor why are you "letting it cool down". There is not much benefit to second thing you are doing and first thing is obvious, you lose up to or more than 12h per day of your earnings. That way, you will never get ROI on it, let alone earn anything after it, especially if you do not have free electricity.

Thirdly, I'd like to give you few more advice.
1. When hashboard drops, do not change anything in config, just hit apply or use reboot button on web interface to restart it. It will be faster than full reboot and it will save you some time.

2. If you are up to it, you can try custom firmwares (they MIGHT help you if you underclock it and in some cases overvolt or undervolt just that hashboard that you are having problems with)

I recommend Taserz/Vnish or thierry firmware for 17th generation. You could try Braiins from slushpool, but I have never tried it so I cannot recommend or say anything about it.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Has Anyone Ever Used Awesome Miner? (I received a virus) on: September 09, 2020, 01:04:29 PM
well he could have let us known how he managed to use a bad link.

Would have been nice to screen shot the bad link so people know to not use it.

Did he do a google search to get the bad link?

That could be partially useful, but still, not useful enough for an exclusive thread IMHO.

And as I already said/asked, why would anyone download any software that is not from official developer's website and expect it to be legit?
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Has Anyone Ever Used Awesome Miner? (I received a virus) on: September 09, 2020, 11:30:18 AM
Why would you ever download software that is not from official developer's website?

No point in making this thread to be honest. It's like downloading fake facebook and thinking if real facebook might be a virus because you were stupid enough to download fake one.
179  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: September 09, 2020, 12:02:37 AM
Fans? Yes, mostly.

PSUs? Hell no. They vary by every producer and even model by model. Just look at 17th generation of Antminer series: APW9 (S17, S17 Pro and T17) and APW9+ (S17e, T17e, S17+, T17+). Then there is S19, S19 Pro, T19 with APW12.  They all can vary by Wattage, dimensions, connectors and many more things. S9s were easy because you could literally use any PSU with enough PCIe connectors. But after S9, everything changed.

Innosilicon also has different PSUs for every model or almost every model afaik.
180  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Duty, Tariff, VAT Rates on: September 07, 2020, 06:24:21 PM
EU VAT you can usually claim back (or not pay) as a EU VAT registered company.
Not that it helps miners with the power rates all over the EU...

Same here in Serbia, but not every miner has company under his name or wants to be connected to company. Also, there is a lot of laws that might make it harder for you to do that or even forbid you from doing that. In Serbia, miners are categorized as machines for gambling (even though they are not that per se).

I imported 3 PSUs and 2 ASICs via my company and was able to claim back VAT (at end of the year) for 3 PSUs but I couldn't claim it back for ASICs and it made paperwork a hell of a mess that year.

For individuals however, you cannot claim back or skip paying VAT in majority (or whole) EU and Europe even.
