1  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: *** Selling BTC! Accept PayPal *** Current Limit: 1-4 or Western Union on: July 23, 2011, 10:30:54 PM
People that don't have $hit in BTC will...as it beats waiting the 3 business days to transfer funds from bank account to dwolla and from dwolla to BTC exchange site.
2  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: CashU to Bitcoin on: July 23, 2011, 10:18:29 PM
Or rather are there any Bitcoin exchange sites that offer cashU as a source of funding?

I've been sitting on 300 USD that I can't do @#$ with since Bitcoin7 removed that as a funding source at the beginning of the month.
3  Economy / Currency exchange / CashU to Bitcoin on: July 22, 2011, 12:19:24 AM
I have 300 USD in a CashU account and would like to purchase Bitcoins at a reasonable rate.

I received this from their support dept:
Mofo scammers always have a way of ruining services for the honest buyers/traders.

Hello,

We are currently under verification from all our payment methods and we wont be able to accept any payments. The ETA is the 22nd of July but it could be sooner. It will be announced on the website's blog.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

5  Economy / Currency exchange / CashU Exchange & Bitcoin 7 on: July 16, 2011, 03:55:26 AM
It's been awhile since I've traded using bitcoin7, anyone know why they dropped the option of adding funds using cashU or know of another reliable exchange that offers this service for under 7%?

thanks

I got 0.5 BTC once for insulting a guy.  Oddly enough none of my posts that were actually helpful have caused donations yet.
Wow, go figure.
7  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Bank to Dwolla To MTGOX Deposit on: July 05, 2011, 05:57:07 AM
So how long does it normally take to put money into dwolla from your bank. then it goes to MTGOX does that usually take.  In the real world trade can change in 3 to 4 days, does it take this long and have to take this long?  Mine cleared Dwolla, so I would think it would be in MTGOX instantly, or within 15 20 minutes or so?

Not sure about MTGOX, but Dwolla usually takes 3 business days. Sometimes less.

I like to play Minecraft (MC). It's lots of fun!

Go download Firefox (FF) instead of your current browser.

Every time I see something like this, I want to stab the author. The abbreviation is not important for the reader's understanding, and it's never used again in the post for ease of reference. It's totally pointless. Why would anyone write something like this!?

This is certainly one of my top three most annoying stylistic errors.

It's redundant as well. Imaging saying to someone, "Hey! Check out the wet water!"
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: buying 1 BTC with PayPal on: July 05, 2011, 05:26:25 AM
You could get your bitcoins through Virwox, making your payment with paypal (or even bank transfer)
https://www.virwox.com/

True, but they have a limit using paypal and you'll be overpaying. Setting up a Dwolla account and transferring funds to an exchange is another option but it lags.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A note about PayPal on: July 05, 2011, 05:19:51 AM
There account could also be funded by a CC in which case a charge back is possible even if the money is sent as a gift.

I''ll sell you some for MoneyPak but not Paypal...too easy to get scammed.

Hi, I am a NEWbie, as you can see
<----      Smiley

But I am just trying to get started on my free time (it's the weekend already here in Thailand) and Dwolla takes forever to get started. I just want a few BTC to help get me started.

I know everybody hates using Paypal, but what about paying as a gift. I am willing to send money as a gift so there's no way I could file a complaint. I am just looking for 5 BTC or so.

Please let me know if you want to help.
Thanks

That's a misconception. If you send payment as a "gift" but have it funded with a CC there's always a possibility of a charge back and to make matters worse there's no way of knowing whether your Paypal account is funded via a bank account or CC.

I'll do MoneyPak if you're interested.
17  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying All Bitcoins! | Trusted | PayPal, AlertPay, Liberty Reserve, Wire, WU! on: July 05, 2011, 03:51:09 AM
Sigh, another thief? has this been verified? Still no response for the guy that sent him 1 BTC?

Still no response. Ruined a reputation for 1 BTC.

Look on the bright side, it's better than losing 5 BTC.

btw, I think the moneypak can load straight to paypal, right?

* I don't endorse using paypal or any centralized banking system.

Yes, that's correct.
