Ferrari looks much better then in Austria , but Hungaroring is much slower track so that helps them.

I think a lot of the reason the Ferrari is so poor this year is that private settlement they made about their illegal engine last year.

It takes a long time to design a car, and when they started building this year's, it was based on the expectation that they'd still be able to use last year's engine. Their new design gave them the increased downforce they were missing, and it must have been that the old engine combined with the new design meant that they kept sufficient speed as well. So what happened when the rules forced them to reduce the power of the engine was not only that it meant they would have less power in 2020, but also, and crucially, that their new 'increased downforce' car would now have to work with an engine that wasn't suitable. The whole thing is a mess for Ferrari, and weirdly, if they'd played by the rules in 2019 then the chances are they'd now have a much better car for 2020. This season is already a write-off for them. I certainly wouldn't bet on them being top 3 constructors, which seems an absurd state of affairs for a name as illustrious as Ferrari.

The stuff with Ferrari engine is not that they didn't play by the rules, but they went into a gray area. The pressure from Red Bull and Merc was so high that FIA succumbed and went to investigate. The conclusion was something along these lines:

FIA - We don't really know what is illegal and we can't find it or prove it, but we know that something is illegal

Ferrari - we know something might be illegal or very close to that and we don't want FIA to continue checking our engine and air the findings to Red Bull and Merc which can be most likely modified and bring advantage to them too

Solution: FIA and Ferrari make an agreement where FIA does not look further and Ferrari stop using that grey area aspect of the engine, pays a fine, but at least no other teams has a an idea what they were doing and maybe they get a chance to use that later in the future if rules change

Then you get this season where they have badly underperforming engine cos they didn't have time for development in other direction or finding a new grey area trick, like Merc with DAS.

802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: July 18, 2020, 12:46:16 PM
I do not get it, dude was almost getting fired after amazing success in previous years and at the mid way of this season (before pandemic stuff) he was almost losing his job, that is how much untolerant these team owners/presidents are these days.

We all remember that Zidane was almost getting fired this year right? It is not me that just read those news? And what do we have now?

Another championship for Real Madrid. I wouldn't call him one of the best managers in the world right now, he has been doing this for like 4 years at best and that is why I think he still has few teams and a decade before we can call him a great manager, or maybe I just have a high bar. However when you are manager of Real Madrid, that is kind of the point right? You should be winning La Liga, it is either you or Barcelona almost every single year, so it shouldn't be a shock that he won it.

Exactly, my thought are the same. I think he is quite an average manager and that there are so many managers that are much better then he is, but I will have to wait 5+ years from now to be right. Lots of people will not agree with this, but I'm 100% sure that Zidane is just a manager in a sea of managers.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian Serie A Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 18, 2020, 12:27:51 PM
I am not following Serie A as well but I have no problem playing 20$ to have some extra fun. I know I will do badly but that doesn't bother me since I bet on higher amounts every day. This way I can use the pool as a sort of extra check if my bets are realistic. I just lock my picks and check out what the best participants have for particular game.

Edit: I would be interested to join or run La liga pool as well. If you know there is some interest we could run something. I am just afraid we will not have enough participants. PL is usually first choice than CL and then it could end up too expensive for most members to continue joining La Liga, Serie A or whatever else. I would also be up for German League, Europa League and Croatian league if I could find at least 10 interested people.
Well yeah, $20 for whole season is nothing, considering how much money we gamble on daily basis. So, I may join too.
La Liga pool would be great. If we will find enough participants for Serie A pool, I'm sure that there will be interest in La Liga, especially considering big number of Barca and Real fans here. Though, not everyone is ready to put their own money Smiley.
Not sure about Europa league. Group stage isn't very interesting with many not well known teams. It's only getting interesting in playoff stages. In football threads I see lot of people from Croatia, so probably even your league may get some interest. I also started to follow your league a bit, mainly because of Gorica team Smiley.

Our league was really and still is interesting , with 4 teams fighting for Europan spot between 2-4 place. How come you decided to follow Gorica? It is quite an interesting choice  Grin  I'm rooting for Osijek to win 2nd place, they play the best football after the restart.
804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 18, 2020, 12:20:48 PM
I can’t believe WBA might have thrown it all away, Brentford only need a draw to go into 2nd place. Should be interesting to see who gets the 2nd automatic promotion place.

Brentford is currently losing to Stoke 1-0 Cheesy Maybe Brentford too can crumble under the pressure?  I certainly wouldn't mind that to happen and for Bilic to finally be the lucky one in the end!

After watching FP3 I must say that the fight for the 3rd place on the grid will be very tight and interesting.Ferrari looks much better then in Austria , but Hungaroring is much slower track so that helps them.

Pink Mercedes will be in the mix and the Red Bulls. After that it's up for grabs between Mclaren, Renault and Alpha Tauri.

This is in case that there is no rain, but during FP3 it was visible that very dark clouds were looming over the track so rain is quite a possibility.

FP3 Results:

I think it is a good idea and I will probably join this one. I'm not 100% sure yet so don't count me in just yet, but I welcome this type of content and some fun won't harm anyone and it makes watching matches a bit more exciting after all Cheesy
I am putting you on the list with question mark added. It is not like you signed up for anything, this is more like to just measure the interest. I would definitely recomend that you join a pool here on the forum, they really are great fun. I have put links to the PL and CL pools we played this season in OP so you can check them out.

Thanks for adding those two , I will most likely join the Premier league one as it is much more interesting and I have much more in depth knowledge about Premier league. Yeah, leave me with a question mark for now with this one.

810  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 17, 2020, 09:06:01 PM
Got to run, friends waiting for a night out...

Just want to quickly squeeze this in, because RL is crazy lately...

Just wanted to say I'm sorry to see Bob go, if he finally goes. Not every WOer has top chemistry with every other WOer, but Bob was/is a strong voice in the thread, as are many others.

If it's opsec, fair enough.

If it's BTC getting stuck @ Vegete prices, not a reason to leave IMO. It's not just BTC that matters here.

If it's the recent racial attacks, well, FUCK THEM (I'm so glad they stopped posting, let them stay out of WO for good). All the more reason to stay.

Anyway, looking fwd to the next mega-pump and I hope Bob is here to celebrate with us. I know he will be.

A meme Bob made during the 2017 pump [post link here]. Probably the best Bitcoin meme ever made:

Have to second this, Bob is part of the furniture here, he’s part of the early history of this thread & is a genuine Legendary Member. I’m sure he’ll come back & post regularly but if he needs time out then cool!
If he leaves & doesn’t return then I’m glad I got to interact with him here & in a way make a sort of friend. I don’t think he’ll be able to keep away when we moon but he deserves time away if he needs it.

Please none of the other big hitters here leave. Fuck, I don’t wanna share this place with NOCOINERS when the next big wave of adoption comes.

To the moon gentlemen...... together!

I'm hardly a big gun here but I'm not going anywhere. WO has become a part of my life. If I'm not contributing I'm still here reading the thread. Definitely gonna miss Bawb (#nohomo) he's a legendary hodler and bitcoin bull. Most of the noobs who show up here are bearish for some reason so we need each and every bull to support us.  Cool

Well I'm a n(b)oob here, mostly reading and I'm not bearish to be honest. Most people that are bearish are people who hunt for fiat in the end, those who are in this for BTC and their own independence are focused on long term, as that does not happen overnight, are bullish and happy with the way things are developing.

I mean don't get me wrong he is not a bad coach at all but to say that he is the best in the world? First of all, to me Sir Alex Ferguson will be the best coach to ever exist for a long time, no coach right now could even get close to that level just yet, we are talking about decades of awesome football, all coaches today just do good for a while and just do nothing but ride on that success. Secondly, he never really managed a club that is challenging champions league or anything, he was never coach of teams like barça or madrid or liverpool of today, the teams he managed Argentina, Marseilla, Lazio, Lille and now Leeds, how could someone be the greates coach ever and not picked up by any team that is better than those teams? I guess he just likes him.

He managed Chile too and they were playing their best football at that time. Bielsa's problem is that he does not do compromise, he demands 100% out of his players all the time and always wants to play attacking football. He does not get along with practical stuff so well, but he is one of the most influential coaches in last 30+ years.

He is a genius indeed and geniuses don't get well accepted and understood at their current times, Bielsa is accepted though and recognized though, but at big clubs there is usually not much space for autocrats who don't accept a position where they don't have max freedom when it comes to managing a team.

I'm back after celebrating until the wee hours with some friends on Zoom lol   Grin Roll Eyes

Did you guys know Zidane has won 11 titles as a manager and averages 1 title every 19 games? (Source) He's among the best managers in the world right now, period.
~snip~
I agree with you that Zinedine Zidane is the best menager in the world today, even in my opinion he is the best manager of all time.
As we all know he can win three Champions League finals which cannot be done by any coach.

I hope that Real Madrid can keep him until he retires as a coach, among all the coaches who handle Real Madrid, only Zidane makes a tremendous difference.

If Zidane is the best manager of all time, what is Alex Ferguson then? Best manager beyond time and space of all times?  Grin

Congrats to Real for wining the title as expected by me personally even though there was no penalty on Ramos to be fair, Real deserved to win and to take the title.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5088858.msg52181525#msg52181525

Next week new race, this time in the Hungarian GP, this track is boring as hell one of the worse.

The only good thing is that Redbull should be very close to Mercedes, this will be also the last call for Ferrari with the full version2 of the car.

This track is decided during qualifying and who comes first out the first turn. That is where the action is and it will be interesting to also see the pace of McLaren here because even when they had a much slower car than this they had the best results of that season here.Adding some rain will make this race awesome.

Hungaroring used to be like that traditionally, but it is not anymore. You can overtake on this track now with all the drs, look at the last few years. Add a safety car or rain here and there and you can have pretty interesting and chaotic race.

I hope that new updated version will bring some positive changes, but that does not change the fact that management needs some serious reconstruction. For me the middle of the pack is now much more interesting to watch then fight for the win.

But after all Defi was not "invented" to serve as a loan, maybe in the start, but now there a lot more uses.
Such as?

Well if we are talking about the end user, it is all about some form of lending to be honest, but it will become more useful platform with time and it will help some projects to become reality that won't be focused on lending and various forms of lending.

Da == mozda

Ne == mozda

Mozda == nema absolutno, ama bas ni 0,00000001%, sanse...

Haha, nema se sto dodati nego skroz istina. Kako vjetar puhne, tako se mijenja stanje.  Zene dodju s novcem, a odu s nevoljom Cheesy
