Mining is only dead for those whose electrical costs are high enough to actually strip out any profit given the coin they are on.
Mining may be dead for one person, but not at all for another. Blanket statements like 'mining is dead' are made by newbies who are simply new to the profitability cycle of virtual currency and who likely came in merely for a quick speculative buck based on something they read or where told. These same newbies always make the mistake of thinking that their ROI will be a linear constant. It almost never is. It could be sped up in impressive fashion (re: latest altcoin explosion over the winter), or sit back and plod along like stuff is now.
In short, you either give yourself the necessary time to potentially break even in the least - or simply don't even get involved in the first place.
Remember, the lazy person always starves - the same is true for altcoin mining. If you don't work at it, you will starve too. The profitability landscape is always shifting: one must adapt to the shifts. Nothing ever dies.

Explain me how you can win more than you have invested, if you paid a graphic card 300$ for 400 to 800 kh/s ? Now it's better to buy coins than hardware mining. So yes the mining is dead (the cause of Bitcointalk.org admins and sh*ty altcoins devs). I don't pay my electricity and my hardware are already refunded then i continue to mine but buying hardware now it's fully useless.
Excellent. Just got another 7950 for under $200. $200 refunded in minimum 4 months lol... (each days the difficulty change then finally more than 4months), like i said it's useless to buy GPU now. With 200$ i buy around 300 darkcoin / 100 vertcoin. How many days for mine this 300 coins using your HD 7950 ? around 400days xD So you wasted your money into a graphics card Excellent, you said. origin twe coin is for cpu only that gpu miner make this coin uselless. bye find other cpu coin only  technically it's impossible to make a coin for CPU only. So this coin was not "origin for cpu only" well this one is cpu only (mining from wallet only and it uses scrypt-n): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=515285.0and will become gpu tolerant at block 24000 (which will take a loooooooonnnnng time...) With some skills you can mining GPU this now. Why only mining from wallet? they have add some code who allow you to mine using the wallet only? Also how they detect if someone are using GPU? the wallet never synchronizes completely... so you can't hook up an external miner (I am pretty sure something can be done though...) Oh ok, not bad :d But yes in all case i think it's possible but it require a lot of work thats why nobody made it. Fortunately :d |

Well, GPU miner is a good things to TWE.
So next is nVidia GPU's CUDA miner.
Then there will many people mining TWE.
Then a new cpu only coin will be released... It is kind of strange that twecoin setup generate the same crappy conf file (everything on one line) than fuguecoin Fugue devs or not i don't care but i hope they will be more active. |

another shit coin, dev work too slow. miner have to compile it self cgminer, for new user its imposible. also no pool till now.
You rage because you don't know how to compile it...lol, it's not the fault of the coin dev if the creator of twe-miner don't compile his code... You're one of this guy who have never coded something. Now it's sure without pool it's another coin who will die i think. unfortunately. Devs really need to contact some pools before launch their CPU coins. |
