61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO WE NEED TO REGULATE ICOs? on: November 17, 2018, 11:12:53 PM
With the spate of scam ICOs in the space in 2018 especially and how much people have lost to fraudsters who took undue advantage of the high liquidity in the market at the time, it wouldn't be out of place to regulate ICOsto ensure that only the genuine ones eventually conduct ICOs and there are stiff penalties for the crimminals
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening to NEO? Any bad news with this coin? on: November 17, 2018, 10:44:53 PM
I bought 25 NEO at 0.076603 Eth but now, it went down the price 0.073662 Eth. I dont know what is going on with this coin and i dont hear any bad news that may affect the price to go down. Shall i continue holding this coin or sell it now then buy it back at lower price? I gave too much advise with other members here but I dont know why I cant apply it too my self. Maybe i still wanted to here other opinions to clear my mind for proper decision. What do you think guys?

NEO is a great coin and I think you got a good bargain at the price your bought. The truth is, just like every other coin out there in the space, NEO got a beating. It's a coin to hodl if you've got the patience
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: November 17, 2018, 10:35:33 PM
Ripple looks good in a Bitcoin pair. It is a pity that Bitcoin just sank. I think there is a chance to break through 9k satoshi.

Someone who bought at 4k satoshi before the BTC flash crash should ordinarily be in profits now, but now they wont get it's true worth especially in dollar because of the drop
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What coin will trigger the next cryptocurrency explosion IF it is not bitcoin? on: November 16, 2018, 12:31:01 PM
The entire crypto market is pegged to Bitcoin and price movements of altcoins have been known to respond to movements in the price of BTC. Two days ago, there was a sharp drop in the price of BTC and 98% of alts were affected, some are yet to recover from the shock. This implies that for any major crypto explosion to be triggered it will have to done by BTC
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am going to wet my pants if Canyacoin explodes today on: November 16, 2018, 12:14:07 PM
What silly and childish post is this??

This should be the place you be posting such things in the off topic section where almost any kind of unserious topic is allowed.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holders bonus on: November 16, 2018, 12:05:34 PM
A promise of bonuses that isn't coming from holding a masternode is one to be very weary of to be honest. Never heard of that coin called POSICOIN and I'm not sure they made it to CMC. For a project that isn't popular, it's a tad risky hodling such tokens especially as you risk losing your investment from an exit scam
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a cryptocurrency now? on: November 15, 2018, 09:57:30 AM
How do I earn? Apparently I only lose on this market. I need to create another source of income to pay my bills and invest something in crypto on a such attractive levels.
But manipulators make me selling my crypto!

Earning right in this space is a tad difficult as the dynamics have really changed and things that easily gave money are the ones taking from us now. Bounties aren't attractive any longer. Hodling is equally dangerous now. Maybe trading, learning how to trade could be the only way to earn consistently in this space now
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a cryptocurrency now? on: November 15, 2018, 09:37:55 AM
I read your posts and it was interesting till the point where I was thrown off by the mention of MLM. If you've ever been bitten by MLM schemes in the crypto space, you'll never go close to any. I don't know how much you and and how new you are to this space, but if you've been long enough, you'd have heard of USITECH, a cryptocurrency MLM that looked all good till they went under citing being defrauded by the USA and Canada members of the scheme. The summary is, many lost a lot of money to that scheme. Need I also remind of Bitconnet??
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC and the hopes of a price surge on: November 15, 2018, 09:31:57 AM
Today's conditions seem to make everyone speculate about the increase at the end of the year, but there is something odd because there is a hardfork process.

Seems as though there's a huge manipulation going on by the whales and those who're trying force entry into the space, because there was hardly any negative that impacted the price drop yesterday. The market dropped a whooping 12% and that was quite alarming

The market is now shaking and bleeding again where the $6000 support price broken. Worst case scenario is that it may bring down from $5000 to $5200. I thought that $6000 price will be the strongest support for bitcoin and even those crypto experts were wrong with their speculation. The price surge this year looks impossible now and it i might say that $8000 will be the highest wall for bitcoin. My bet is $7500 to $7800 for bitcoin before the end of the year.

You should understand that these so called crypto experts are mostly looking for traffic to their pages and sites and as you can see, all their speculations never come to pass.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New cryptocurrency the “Petro” on: November 14, 2018, 08:51:47 AM
No single coin launched in this space got launched with a projected price, such are seen as scams well packaged by the scammers. In this case of the Venezulan Petro coin, it's not one coin I'll be looking to invest as it's more or less like having the Bolivar in your hands and that currency is ravaged by hyperinflation
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have I joined at the wrong time? on: November 14, 2018, 08:38:37 AM
The current market conditions and the fact that so much money was made in this space in 2017 makes it seem as though those joining in now are late to the party. But the truth remains that crypto is still at the infancy stage of adoption and there is no being 'late' in crypto. The right time is now
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TELCoin arbitrage chance on: November 13, 2018, 10:38:40 PM
If you've ever been stuck with coin you bought trying to arbitrage, you'll stay far from trying to do it. A lot of exchanges disable withdrawals options shortly it's noticed and end up hodling the coin on their platform
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / BTC and the hopes of a price surge on: November 13, 2018, 10:19:39 PM
The market seems to be in state of limbo right now, with a plunge in the stocks market, the crypto market isn't spared either. All hopes of a bull run in 2018 seem to be fading away and if there'll be a surge ever this year, it may just not surpass $8k and that being the highest till year end. What's your take?

75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What coin will trigger the next cryptocurrency explosion IF it is not bitcoin? on: November 12, 2018, 09:23:15 AM
I just read that the next cryptocurrency explosion will not be triggered by bitcoin price surge but another. What do you think it will be and why? I also want to know why it won't be bitcoin since from the very beginning I am a follower and believer of bitcoin.

Almost every cryptocurrency is pegged to Bitcoin and as such, they're all dependent on BTC for a bull run to be triggered. We've seen some price surges with XRP causing it to temporarily replace ETH in no.2 spot and how it was not enough to trigger an explosion in the market,  it therefore goes to show that not one single altcoin can trigger massive price surge in the space, except BTC
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a cryptocurrency (alt coin) valuable? on: November 12, 2018, 09:07:34 AM
A couple of factors determine how valuable an altcoin is, chief of which is the demand and supply of the coin. If the coin is in huge demand they're the market has seen value in it and at such it's value will increase as people will not want to sell except at a premium. Other factors include the activeness of the team with the development of the project and partnerships, and also increased use case for the project
77  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why not use poloniex!! Be careful people! on: November 12, 2018, 09:02:31 AM
A lot of people have been using Poloniex for a while without issues and haven't encountered sch problems to conclude they're a scam. It's nonetheless quite disturbing they've not responded to the ticket queries raised. If you can execute a legal action on them, I think you should pursue it rigorously as that's fraudulent.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is happening in BINANCE exchange on: November 11, 2018, 11:45:41 AM
It's not uncommon for pumps to happen especially on low sats coins. This is large because Binance is an exchange with a great number of users and home to a lot of whales who have control over the market there. It doesn't mean that it's shady and orchestrated by the exchange
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If ETH will - only FUEL. - speculation on: November 11, 2018, 11:40:04 AM
Your question is a tad confusing, probably because your English isn't that good.

If I understood you well, ETH's use case is very obvious and it's a fuel for most ICO's that launch on the Ethereum platform. Beyond that, it's smart contracts solve a wide variety of problems with payments.

So long as projects continue to launch on the platform, there'll continue to be demand for the ETH coin and the price will bounce back when the bulls return.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coin NEO for a long time? on: November 10, 2018, 02:17:35 PM
NEO, the Chinese ETH like I always call it is a superb project which is only impeded by the China ban on crypto. For me it's a coin for the future and the few I bought during the dip I'm not touching anytime soon, rather I'll accumulate more once I can. The Chinese government could review their stand on crypto any time, and this will cause NEO to skyrocket.
