I disabled cpu throttle and cool and quiet. But it crashed tonight. I adjusted the powertune a little more and underclocked the gpu-engine to 950. Now it will consume 1150-1250 watt. Hopefully it will run the entire day.

I turned the powertune lower to -13. And i see at the kill-a-watt device that i consumers between 1100 to 1300 watt. But the problem still exists. Maybe I can try running with 3 gpu's. In that case I expect that it will consumer 800-1000 watt. So this should run on a 1500 watt psu. Right?

But two powered and two non powered raisers is oke?

Thanks! I will do that this evening and post the results.

Risers are independent.

The two powered ones will be more stable at high hash rate.

Yes but you said the mainboard is not capable to deliver the required amount of power, powered riser will cure this. Are two powered risers enough of would you suggest to use 3 or 4?

ASRock 970Extreme 4 cannot handle that much sustained current through the MB PCIE bus.

Powered risers will cure this.

Also disable all Cool and Quite settings in the Advanced UEFI Bios.

I have 2x x16 non powered and 2x x1->x16 powered risers. What do you suggest?
Cool and quiet is all on. So i will disable that this evening.

Can we go ontopic again?

Has anyone any ideas for me?

is the mining ring powers off while mining or?
possible problem i can think is that power supply got bad or motherboard failure. but you neeed to give more information.

Yes it was mining at 3.2-3.4 mh/s in total. No HW errors and temps were ok. All components are brand new by the way.

"intensity" : "20",
"gpu-memclock" : "1300"

I'm not sure but I think those variables are too high.
How much khashes per card are you getting?

BTW this thread should be in the mining sub-forum

I was getting 800-880. It could run for 1 up to 2 hours stable. Temps are not too high.
It's this card: http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1227&pid=2091&psn=&lid=1&leg=0. So 1300mhz on mem is default i think.

@mitsanaga
This psu has 6x (1 cable with 2x 6/8 connector) I use one cable per gpu.

Hi,

I have a problem with my mining rig. After a couple of hours it’s powered of completely and I have to reset the cmos to get it started up again. It’s not like normal shutting down but power is off. At the wall power plug is a device like kill-a-watt. Is measures around 1420 peak watt in full load. Temps in cgminer are around 80 degrees.
I read a lot on the internet but nothing is solving my probem. I cannot understand what is going on. Can someone help me with this?
It's not overclocked. The core and mem are default factory settings (1000/1300).

This is the configuration:
- 4x R9 290 Sapphire BF4 edition
- Asrock 970 extreme4
- AMD sempron 145
- Kingston 60gb SSD
- Kingston 4gb DDR3-1600mhz
- Enermax Platimax 1500watt 90PLUS ready!

"intensity" : "20",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"gpu-powertune" : "20",
"thread-concurrency" : "25600",
