this is pure speculation on my part, but in my eyes a new wave of sockpuppets is a clear indicator that things are normal in bitcoinland.
Not sure if moon is ahead, but this market has been going sideways for quite some time.
i don't know if i should read this as a stability sign, or something else, a calm period before the storm perhaps.
I bet some daytraders are not happy though.

You are so right about marketing needs.
I have still some features I really want to build on alcurEX.
As you can see on main page, we are getting real Gold and other property markets very soon.
Because I have no any "active" marketing person with me, marketing will start after I can focus for that.
The revamp is looking nice, and the registered users are rising in small numbers, but almost daily. To me this is a sign that a userbase is forming, definitely a positive sign. Plans to expand that userbase without making sure that a quality service can be delivered, might be a bit premature in my humble opinion. Making small but solid steps is a good recipe for success, on the other hand. Gold/Property, will these be traded against USD only, or can BTC play with those assets? This thought is very exciting! I agree with you about the marketing plans, keep up the good work halibit. |

We should not trust our eyes and ears that were watching the drama unfold,
nor we should pay attention to any of the people that were actually involved in keeping the place alive.
Instead, we should pay attention to an account created in february for the sole purpose of posting only in the CR thread.

Like, i can add MyOwnCoin and trade it for USD, before i even trade it for BTC? For free? Without all those "pay us your btc to have your altcoin listed" voting schemes? why has some of the old coin balances not been returned yet? i had a right few ruby coin, where are they at i wonder!!
No reason. They have just been refusing to give the solvent coins to their rightful owners. If there was ever any trust in the "new team's" ability to run a coin exchange, it evaporated months ago. I love how new FUD accounts keep popping up, although i have to admit they are in decline. If you had bothered to check this very thread, the irc channel or even had an account in CR in the first place you would have absolutely no reason to spew crap of this sort. The development has been ongoing, people from all over the cryptocommunity have pooled resources together and CR managed to stand on its feet. But you are saying it, so i feel i need to pop up myself and say this to you: Your useless fud attempts are going nowhere. I feel pity for you. I have not been paid by the Blocknet. I've been paid by XC, in XC only (well, in BTC twice if I remember correctly). I am asking what you WILL be paid so we know before you're paid and not told when funds have been all spent... Nothing has been decided. If I am officially put on the Blocknet payroll, this will be announced. On the other hand, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with my salary becoming public knowledge, so perhaps that won't be disclosed. My work for the Blocknet has been purely on a volunteer basis so far. You guys promised us that bookkeeping of the funds would be open and on the blockchain, so unless you guys plan on breaking that promise, all expenditures that happen from the ITO funds will be public knowledge anyway. Which shouldn't be a bad thing, keeps everything as honnest as it possibly can.  Transparency is necessary if you do such a projekt. I totally agree with your points and hope this will be solved here soon. Yes, you're right, and all spending will be recorded on the blockchain. No question of that. On the other hand it could make sense in terms of the privacy of devs for, say, coins to be taken from the funds in larger batches allocated to, say, a given release. From there, payments to individuals could be kept private, while the amount used for a given release will still be publicly disclosed. How does that sound? Sounds like there's something to hide. No reason to not be transparent otherwise. WE are paying your salary by participating, therefore, we deserve to know who is receiving the funds. Argue that one. We could sell that as "probability market" XD Expanding it to the rest of the traded coins will be good for business. I can see a lot of work is being put in, and i would like to congratulate the dev team for that, but i feel i also need to point out, like others have so far, that alcurEX needs some large volume coins added. I know that giving new coins a place to enter the market is very crucial, but there will never be a shortage of alts. Coins that have been in the market for 6-12 months and are producing volume need to be there, making volume on BTC and LTC markets easier to move up. We can't really expect the volume to grow only on mrc or cryptopennies. |
