1  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Youth Unemployment Remains High In Many Countries on: July 13, 2026, 08:44:53 PM
Lower population means less young people, so we should had a lot more young people working. I have no idea why that is not the case, if you have less 20 year olds then you used to, then you should be trying to get them all, and if you are not then I do not understand what the reason behind it is.

I understand why it may not feel like it's something good right now because it is not, but that is something that would not be easy to decide. I think the best way to improve at this point would be making sure you are dealing with something more decent. Like vibe code or whatever, find something for yourself.

Shamrock Rovers suffered an unexpected loss in the first leg, and it’s fair to say they’ve made it difficult for themselves to advance. They are, of course, the favorites in the home leg of the series, and they absolutely must win the match. To force extra time without conceding a goal—and to advance to the next round—they need to score three goals. I believe Shamrock Rovers is a team capable of putting pressure on their opponent from the opening minutes and scoring two goals in the first half.
Shamrock Rovers was not bad in the first half of the first leg game, but their offense was not playing with their potential. This let them down near the end of the first half they conceded the first goal in the early minutes of the second half red card also played its role, and they had no chance of fighting back.

Their performance in the second half was much better but they again failed to convert their chances and ended with a 2-0 loss. Now at home, they are the hot favourite to win with a good margin. This will allow them to have a spot in the quarterfinals of qualifiers. Floriana is lucky enough to win this first leg with this score.

Mourinho is a coach that has experience with winning important trophies and he knows well how to get the job done, this is why he took Cucurella immediately as a desirable left back for his mission based on his consistency and less injury prone. I believe Mourinho would manage the players well and attempt get desired results, although UCL is much of a high target, they should start with winning LaLiga first. They have a good team there but like you said, they need a good right winger. Olise is not a Valid target for them because Bayern would not be willing to let him go and himself too is enjoying life under Kompany, they need to look elsewhere or make do with what they have.
Jose Mourinho is 63 years old with 26 years of experience in coaching. It's his second tenure after 13 years, bringing him to a surely good decision by Real Madrid management because this is a crucial time and they want to fix issues that are hurting them badly in the last season.

Players quality is unquestionable, but their discipline is also important for having better results. In La Liga, Barcelona is a challenge for them, but in the Champions League, the recent situation has changed, and they are having enough challenges, which are going to be not easy because they are in transition, and this period is always having not good results, but Real Madrid means things are always on their way.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: African Football Discussion Thread Current Topic: 👉 FIFA WorldCup 2026. on: July 04, 2026, 07:04:42 PM
9 African teams were in the round of 32, while just 2 teams have spots in the round of 16. Both are undefeated in this event Egypt and Morocco. Now both are heading for new challenges. Morocco is going to face Canada, and Egypt will be entertaining defending champions Argentina.

From here, it looks not easy for them to have spots in the next round. There was enough talk about a few teams, but the performance of African teams was exceptional in this event, especially Cape Verde, which did a historic job. A few teams faced terrible results, but still now people will remember African nations due to their performance and quality.

They needed more time to have their best because they are not cool like Europeans, but they have the potential to stay at a good level.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: July 04, 2026, 11:39:21 AM
I think there is no disappointment because it can be covered up because Arsenal managed to win the Premier League title and so far the Arsenal team continues to show progress in a positive direction in every season so that is what is the reference that this team is able to develop much better even it is possible for the next few seasons because the long process that has been gone through will definitely produce results, last season was real proof so I am sure if the process continues then they will be able to continue to be better and stronger.
Elite clubs and big coaches never feel bad about their loses they always take lessons and look forward because they know things are going to be right in the future. They just need to learn from their mistakes and have their best in coming matches. The same can happen with Arsenal they won the Premier League and now have a good chance of giving a performance like this again.

Their defense is solid, and they have to work out on their offense, which always lets them down even if they have good strikers, but their strategy never works, which is always defensive. Hopefully now they will be done better and bring better things in the future. The coming Champions League is going to be more challenging with many teams preparing and will increase problems for them, but they can overcome them with their best.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possible Market Fall, Still in the Bear on: June 25, 2026, 07:25:10 PM
I think even now the market is quite bearish. Anything below $60,000 is a bearish move for me so I would keep waiting until I find the perfect buying opportunity and would then continue holding. I think for a few months, market looks more bearish. I just hope we don't fall below $60k range because from there, it would be a free fall until $50k as there is no major support in between. Below $50k, we are at a risk of staying in a year long bear market. Anything above $70k is a positive news for me and I would increase my hopes in that situation.

As of now, I am ready to invest smaller chunks in portions to average my buying price. I even bought some at $80k which I do not regret because I am going to hold those coins for a much longer duration than you think.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2026/27 Season on: June 23, 2026, 09:48:08 AM
Since Arsenal has won the premier league trophy and has reached the Champions League final last season they are not under any pressure anymore
Not under pressure? No, that’s not true.

In fact, since Arsenal managed to win the EPL and reach the UCL final, there will definitely be a lot of pressure, and the main priority is for Arteta to go after the UCL title. Meanwhile, in the new season, Arteta will not only be one of the main challengers to PSG, but there will also be Munich, who will try to become an even stronger team than before.

So there are many factors that put Arteta under pressure.
Mikel Arteta has enough experience and potential to play under pressure because he faced many challenges in his stay at Arsenal, but his consistency and strategy allow him to become a champion of the Premier League even still. He needs to be better on offense because defensive strategy never works for a long time, but he is doing good for the Gunners.

In the Premier League, it's never been easy to stay on the same level this needs enough hard work, while the Champions League is now having great rivalries with PSG heading for a hat -trick, which is not easy but possible. Bayern Munich is also doing good few other clubs can give surprises, always on board.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you aware people are betting on hydration break on: June 18, 2026, 04:09:41 PM
Stuff like Polymarket made everything a possibility, we have seen "how many cars will pass between two red lights on this street" as a bet, that was the silliest bet I have ever heard of in my entire life, and yet it existed, and some even tried to corrupt it by driving around and getting a win, literally governments had to intervene about it.

However, when you think of stupid bets like that, this one doesn't feel that stupid, yes it is silly, but in a world where you bet on car numbers between two red lights, I would say this one makes sense a lot more.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 05, 2026, 05:36:01 PM
What Milan needs now is not just one player as a star they need to rebuild the team and they need good numbers of players mixed with young talents and experienced players that are well matured not just players that are at the age of retirement who would just play for a season before ending their football career. For Luka Modric he is still very good with the ball but he's aged and he can't carry the team on his shoulders. Italian teams should try to have future plans that will help them not to become a failed team when their players retire.
One player alone isn't enough, as the competition in Serie A is increasingly competitive. AC Milan needs to have quality players capable of competing with Inter Milan and other strong players. Without this Milan will struggle to compete for the Scudetto. Luka Modric is getting older, so his contribution won't be optimal and vice versa, his physical qualities are declining. A combination of young players complemented by senior players would be a perfect strength for Milan and we could see how the league becomes much more exciting in terms of competing for the title next season.
I would say they are not going to battle for a league title anytime soon, so they should not be looking for that. First goal should be getting to UCL, they failed to do that for two years in a row now. For a team that is Milan's size, failing to go to UCL two years in a row is a big disappointment.

The goal should not be let's win the league, the goal should be let's be in top four and go to UCL, and if they can do that , then they could start thinking about the league title. They also lack consistency, they keep changing managers and players way too often.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 31, 2026, 03:21:00 PM
Spirited bowling from RCB keeps Gujarat Titans silent. With the end of 14 overs, they are having 99 for 4. Both openers are gone cheaply now, and Arshad Khan and Washington Sundar are trying to build a good partnership.

Things are looking not easy for them, but they are doing a good job. From here, 130 to 140 are possible because the Gujarat Titans are feeling uncomfortable against RCB. Oh, Arshad Khan is gone. Josh Hazelwood has done the job and has a wicket on the first ball of the 15th over. RCB and Virat Kohli can start their celebrations for their second trophy, just like PSG did just yesterday at Budapest.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: May 31, 2026, 09:28:02 AM
I don't think we are even suppose to think of who will win the next La liga trophy the season just ended not long ago, there is still many things to do transfers and other stuffs let's focus on that.

However, Real Madrid is not a weak team and they have the ability to win the La liga again so we shouldn't say Barcelona is going to win again, Real Madrid lapses maybe corrected before next season and they will do what they are use to.
When one season is over, that is the only discussion is left, next season. This is why the discussion is veering towards next season, while there are no transfers done, and world cup will happen in the middle, many transfers will happen after the world cup as well.

However, even with all of that, we can safely assume that we could make a prediction right now, could be right , could be wrong. Barcelona seen as the team that will do better is because they already started working out something, they got Gordon for example, done deal, and Real got Mourinho, which is done deal. So these could be telling us something already.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: May 02, 2026, 08:44:02 PM
As much as coach presence makes game interesting, everything depend on what the team does later. If can recall, when Amorim was appointed as the new coach, the players were everywhere doing the good stuff but a season later, they fell short of performance. Wouldn't that be convincing that they are doing well now because Carrick is on them and they don't want to lose so it doesn't look like he is a failure, I don't trust this early settings of coach.

I'm sure that the club are not going to sleep on Carrick, the best shot they have now is him, they don't have any alternatives and even if they have, it will cost them more to bring another person because they have to pay the Carrick off to bring another person. It is more convenient and blending that this team can do well under him than for them to have another person they don't know. Their decision is going to determine their next place in the Champions League next season.
While that is true, we also have to remember that Carrick took over and became third place which is amazing, but Amorim didn't leave this team when they were 15th or something and Carrick somehow made them third place. They were already either fifth or sixth, and the gap was pretty close.

The achievement there was that they won Arsenal and City games back to back, which made this third place a possibility, but aside from those two games, not like Amorim was losing every single game, they were doing "fine", fifth place is not death, and surely it's better to be third, but not that far away.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Is money the most precious thing? on: April 25, 2026, 07:06:03 PM
People will keep on talking about money like there are way more important things and we are not living in a capitalist world. When people tell you that money is not important, they are either rich, or they are people who rich ended up fooling. Do not trust anyone who tells you that money is not happiness, or not important, because the reality is that it's very important, maybe the most important thing.

Because while people will name other stuff, those are all terrible without money. They say that love is more important, but love as a poor person vs love as a rich person is not the same, or they say health is, but that is the same. The sad reality, which I do wish it wasn't the case, is that money is the most important thing.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Forget Trump. Bitcoin Is Set to Rise, and the Market Is Ready for Altseason on: April 21, 2026, 04:52:31 PM
Altcoins are outperforming bitcoins only because bitcoins are moving much slowly now. Volatility has left the markets as institutions have filled their bags. If markets were that volatile, these institutions would stand at huge risks, so they have mitigated volatility to keep their bags safe. That is the reason the growth might seem slow but yet bitcoins stand on the top when it comes to trading volume and market cap.

Altcoins can never surpass bitcoins when it comes to market cap and that is where I think bitcoin remains the king of cryptocurrencies. We can't simply expect an alt season just because we saw some growth in ETH. We also need to dig deeper and make good market research about other trending altcoins.

For me, I only feel confident about an alt season if bitcoins are in a continuous bullish trend. Altcoins mostly follow bitcoins and that is what makes it easier for me to identify an alt season. I would be looking for bitcoin season instead of alt season.

17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 11, 2025, 05:45:49 AM
The Serie A competition still looks fierce, with no team completely secure. All teams have the potential to win trophies this season. Moreover the points gap isn't that big, and the season is still very long. Anything can happen especially as we approach the end of the year and the beginning of the year, when every team will certainly be recruiting new players to strengthen their squads.

I share your view regarding Juventus. They are currently eight points behind, but given their experience and their ability to adapt to a new coach, Juventus could certainly pull off unexpected surprises in the remainder of the season. However of all the candidates, I'm confident that Milan will win the trophy because they don't have a tight schedule, allowing them to focus solely on Serie A. They also have experienced players like Modric and a highly experienced coach.
A long season is ahead just because of this, right now any prediction about who is going to have which spot not easier, changes are going to happen because mostly teams are facing injuries and this can bring unexpected changes in upcoming matches. From 4th rank to 7th teams have 4 points difference only.

At the top, in upcoming round, few games are going to be interesting with Roma hosting Como and Bologna is going to entertain Juventus. These matches can bring good changes. AC Milan is having good advantage and after watching last night game, I am expecting Napoli will be also get away from champions league because they are also looking for better performance in Serie A instead of having anything in other competitions.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still hoping for an altcoins season? on: November 20, 2025, 07:19:22 PM
I think that we already might have passed the altcoin season because now most of the altcoins are rallying down similar to bitcoins. When bitcoins crossed $100,000 was the time when altcoins were rallying and I think that was the altcoin season.

Most might have missed the season but it will come back again if bitcoins recover in short term. If not, we might see bloodbath for a couple of months and will eventually see altcoins pumping again. Keeping a watch on most of the altcoins is a bit difficult to I prefer watching bitcoins alone because they give me a rough idea about where altcoins stand as of now. To be honest, I was so busy investing in bitcoins that I kind of forgot about the altcoins and that made me miss the opportunity. I do not regret though. I will be looking for another opportunity in the future.
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What difference is there between a Spot Trader and an Investor? on: November 20, 2025, 05:49:10 AM
Spot traders become investors for the long term, it is how the system is. It is safer and carries less risk.

Compare that to non-spot trading, those trading methods are essentially gambling. Your luck runs out, you will lose money. At least in spot trading you still hold the asset in your custody, with possibility of better prices in future.

Short term investing does not really work out. Its more of day trading.
Yeah, I agree. Even traders are investors somewhere. Trading can be considered as investing just the duration flickers here. Long term investors usually are able to mitigate the risk of taking loss for shorter duration. They mostly end up in profits as their investments are meant for longer duration and they will not worry about the short comings. On the other hand, trader will be the one who will constantly keep on buying and selling and often is prone to have loss or profits sometimes. They are the ones who mostly take the risk but also are able to make profit.

Trader and investor might seen different but some functionalities might be the same. Every trader can become an investor just by holding their positions but not every investor can become a trader.
