661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 24, 2016, 04:06:18 PM
I am very old with the cryptoworld (since the beginning of bitcoin). But new here.

I was one of the people who invested in the ICO and i say it now, i will not sell the lisk below 1 dollar. Especcialy when i read about the potential of Lisk.

Just figure next winter of 2016, someone ask you, "Hey, did you download the new dApp Store? You can rent and buy games/dApps with Lisk", " How much is 1 Lisk?" , " Well its about 10 dollar a piece" . Smiley

I am from Amsterdam and would like it very much to be a delegate.

I will vote for all the members here who requested to be a delegate.

Will make Lisk great again  Grin

given the insane btc invested here (wherever the hell it all came from??) - will LISK be providing a legit breakdown doc showing where and how these funds will be spent and managed??  i think investors need serious transparency here with this kinda money.  no BS basic "whitepaper" either that so many devs drop.

Piston, devs said already many times this funds will be used to the good, they didnt make a full plan cause you simply dont know what
you would raise. It could be 100 btc or 15000. Now they know im sure there planning a future roadmap, but first a good launch is needed.

And so far everything went really smooth and controlled make me complete calm with this investment.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 24, 2016, 02:19:20 PM
I agree at some parts with MalReynolds. Lisk is not meant to be a get-rich-quick scheme, much like Bitcoin wasn't meant to be.
It's meant to be an innovative part of technology we all have to work on to keep going.

Which is why we need delegates to secure the blockchain. In other words, that's the reason why we'll be needing good server specs,
reputable delegates and constant maintenance. Yes, it is quite immoral to make the network prone to some sort of Game of Thrones, but it's
how it needs to be done in order to keep the economy of Lisk going as a currency, and for delegates to stay delegates.

Just my 2 cents.

Regards,
JM Erestain

5 LISK per block with a 1-101 chance of you getting that fee is not a get rich quick scheme.

When people offer to give some of the fees as a thank you is a smart idea and they run a node which provides stability.

So again its a win/win.

Yes I do sound greedy as F but I really dont mind, I am Dutch after all.

With Lisk's value predicted to rise to up to 1$ per Lisk, it could be a really big pay every few minutes.
That's why many people want to become an active delegate for Lisk.

I never believe estimations.

Everybody can make fancy calculations.

The only thing I believe is CMC on the day it actually gets that high.

Yea but whats the point of having delegates that already dump everything on the first day again.

The only thing that will help if people actually working with this funds, make Dapps, make Websites promote Lisk.
Personal greed is not benefitial at all with Dpos and will be a waste of the coin if its heading that way.
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 24, 2016, 12:30:32 PM

Well, they've felt no sense of urgency in resolving the many, longstanding withdrawal issues they have from owner's of other coins.

If you send them the Lisk they will steal it.

Can we think of a way to reimburse the customers ripped-off by Bter without using Bter themselves?

It would be good for Lisk to be seen to try to help ripped-off users, it would be bad for Lisk to be seen enabling a scam by the crook Lin.

That the problem you cant see what they own who!

So as i see it there are 2 options;

1..You allow there Ico, you give them the coins they can give it to there people (but hey they didnt allow withdraws so why would they now) and there is a possibility that they even will dump all coins, cause i doubt they really care look how they handle there people.

2..You give them back there Xcr and make a statement why and that Lisk doesnt want to be assosiated with anything like this.

both have there advantage and disadventage

667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 24, 2016, 12:17:59 PM

Really and thats why Bter is full of (lets not say bad words here ***) They should just be removed from the ICO and asked to never
ever add Lisk to there exchange.

Save a lot of people there money.
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 24, 2016, 10:19:12 AM
What type of update frequency will you commit to if you are voted in as a delegate? It was annoying having to hunt down delegates for updates.
Delegates should post und update here:
http://forum.lisk.io/viewforum.php?f=6&sid=c3ee0de1ca9588b77c51c14822e4c3a9

Yea true already did Wink.

Delegate Question

When BitShares was running DPOS 1.0, there was some frustration about Delegates not updating what they were doing to help improve the ecosystem.  Here's my question to people that want to be delegates here:

What type of update frequency will you commit to if you are voted in as a delegate? It was annoying having to hunt down delegates for updates.

Nice one aswell you got some of my votes, im going to make the website great, faucet, netwerk info, cool articles, tradeviews, and some intervieuws when possible

I will be posting regular development updates on the dapps funded by the delegates I am running at least once a month or when major releases or other news occur here on BTT in a dedicated thread and on the Lisk Forum.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 24, 2016, 07:51:36 AM

Hi guys, congratulations for being part of Lisk.

I bought my ones on day 1.

I follow this talk since day one but this is my first comment in here.

I will write in the Topic of delegates.

Because we need delegates, I will give my vote to the one who share profits with his voters (us) so in that case we also we can give away some to others to integrate them in the community,  also I will give my vote to someone who works for the good name of Lisk and his community (us and future members)

a delegate has to be someone who is not just getting rich by himself, a delegate "I suggest" should be someone with projects in mind to spread Lisk, I will suggest that delegates should consider to donate dapps to the community, for schools, hospitals, we should create dapps to fight world poverty, also providing faucets etc....

opportunities are endless, you guys (community) are some of the most clever people in the world so ideas are unlimited, so delegates I want to encourage you to work along with Max and Oliver and the Lisk community to bring this project to a whole new level, if we work and push this together Lisk, like in the ICO, Lisk will go far an above our imagination and our expectations.

so if you want my vote I'm happy to support you, if you commit yourself for the community, well you have my vote, if any of you are in Melbourne Australia well lets do it. may be we can do this as a team.

have a good day guys!!!!1

There should be only delegates, which are making dapps or running successfull marketing operations.

everything else is a joke of delegate and there will be alot of them, people cashing up for talking alot and doing nothing productive. dont think thats going to change until 11. April. the best guy here is making excel spreadsheets and wants to become a delegate LOL.

The start of Lisk should be delayed by some three months, until there can be found people which can really support Lisk as a delegate.

The best distribution of tokens is non Asics POW mining. Everyone with a computer can contribute and is keeping the tokens mostly for himself to see them growing. The network should be scaled to support rather 1000 nodes, not just 100 nodes(delegates) IMO as long there are no 'real' people who want and can contribute more to Lisk as an avarage loser Joe.

Nobody gives a shit what you think here.  All you do is come by and talk trash.  I doubt anyone here takes your comments seriously.

As long as people contribute there a worthy asset for the lisk community and a worthy delegate.

Still for sale whisper me if your interrested

Still 1000 coins for 1 btc , imagine where ethereum is at and what 1000 coins are worth of ethereum.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [WTS] 7 LISK Passphrases = 71000 LISK in total on: March 23, 2016, 04:02:28 PM
Why not just wait until April to trade your 71000 LISK on Exchanges.
150 BTC is very high risk here.

I would like to get BTC back sooner if possible.

That is not back buddy thats back and x10.

Ofc i think it will easly go there, but to ask that before the start of a coin.

People can buy mine 30k for 30 btc Wink

Show us the ICO adress for the bitcoins or you're dishonest.

Now you can do this right?

They already did more then ones, they have no reason to be dishonest at all.

All this sounds very complicate to me.
Cloud,  ubuntu... OMG
I want to run a delegate but I might not be able to do it.
I m willing to buy a raspberry and set up everything but I need more info!
Im completly noob with compurters

You should only considering a Node if you got something to offer, think about that.

I will offer whataver it needed. I would like to know what could I offer.
Thanks

Thats up to you to think of something to offer, so far you dont know how to run a delegate, or what to do with a delegate,
that looks to me that you want a delegate for personal interrest.

But hey you can prove me wrong.

But i personaly pref that thos lisk go to people that can use the funds to actually start some Dapps, and develop things with this.

One thing if we are discussing delegates.
We shouldn't really promote any one cloud service that's good for running delegates.
It would be best for Lisk if the delegates would use as many different services as possible.
If someone recommends X provider here and half of the delegates end up using that provider that would make Lisk much more vulnerable than if everyone found their own solution.

I agree on that if about 50 of the 101 are on vultr network that wont be beneficial, although they can have diffrent locations.
678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: March 23, 2016, 10:53:30 AM
Anyone notice the huge amount of Entry coin usage increased ?

I wonder why the coin amount isnt burned on a faster rate atm.

Entry coins cost $20 per 1000 last 2 blocks were 1000 togheter.

Doesnt that means approx 5 coins should be burned by now ?

Can someone from factom please explain or are the coins burned when someone buys them? (sounds not logical)

Or is factom using there factoids to sell for entry coins ? (at a huge rate atm) what sounds not really fair though.

Can someone from factom please explain?

Why u looking for votes guys?
One person can vote to himself many times cant he??

I also would like to run a no de but it seems imposible

You can vote for more then one!

So far I have following BCT forum people on my voting list:

PunkRock, Emerge, cannabanana, bigcabrito, nextgencrypto, cc001, bitseedmike, TheRedHawk, Splatters, Mrboot

Who else? Who wants my vote and will give me their vote?

I ran a Crypti node for $5/month at Vultr.com for many months and plan to start running a Lisk node next month, again at Vultr.

Are we really doing this? I through we have time to sort this out, but sure. I'm also planning to run a delegate.

Why not ambition is good, and nice you are just you should also say what you would attribute otherwise it will be hard to obtain votes.

Your involvement already shown you would be a good delegate, so you have my vote.

Is there some kind of tutorial to setup a Lisknode at Vultr? I am interested in learning/ contributing by being a delegate if needed.

Im setting up one this week as a test if i succeed (ofcourse i will) you can contact me as Bacobob on the chat i can help you set-up one.
