Is the current chat based on a direct (encrypted) channel between both parties or are the messages relayed by other nodes?
eg: Will my real ip be revealed if i chat with someone?
Yes with the test release your IP is not concealed Just to address this: the current release doesnt do anything for your IP, as Dan said, but next week, the TOR stick ISO with encrypted EM + wallet will be released FOR FREE to the public, which will connect to the TOR network, utilising XC's platform, and creating the best anon encrypting messaging released till now. Yes, but relying on Tor to shield the IP is not the full solution - I hope. Assumed it is to be like the multihop mixing, using XNodes. |

Advertising mining pools is no longer allowed, including, but not limited to, altcoin announcement threads. Mining pool ops should make one thread within the Mining section of Alt Currencies. Do not make a separate thread for each coin. Most OP's already link to pools available so advertising your pool is unnecessary and leads to too much spam.

newbie accounts can only post on certain forums for 14 -30 days (and not on altcoin ann threads- to drastically reduce the spam and baseless fud on these threads)

Hello all It's been confirmed by the developers that XChat will include voice calling in post-Rev 3 editions, and video calling further into the future. So basically we have a decentralised, private, Skype.  Here's to the future! Good lord! Feel like my head is about to explode. So you are telling me when this is all completed we could install the XCurrency App on our phone run an XNode automatically while staking at the same time and have private Skype functionality?!?!? Yes, that is what they are telling you. AFK while I sell my house... Precisely. XC's design has had mobile platforms in mind from the outset. BTW, should that email icon be a chat bubble icon instead or is this another hint? That's more of a marketing image, the actual ui will probably be diffrenet but it might not be. Nice to hear about future developments. Looking forward to testing out EM for Mac later tonight. Do we have a rough ETA for Rev 2.5 and 3 on the roadmap? |

It's awesome! - even if several UI-tweaks are still to be done.
