They need to travel to the UK Isn't it a good idea to ship them to the UK last, and send the book to all EU buyers from there? That saves a lot of time and money. That would mean Canada > USA > UK. This would be problematic to USA buyers, as they would still need to be returned from the UK. It's easiest to ship all the Signature Editions to UK first, than USA, and from there to the buyers.

Please add me to the list 'Collector's Signature Edition' 1x About the signature. Not better to buy a ticket with this money and meet for the signature Perhaps also photo together? Thanks, I will PM you! That's a wonderful idea.. I am sure we will meet some day. A problem with this is that I am on a very tight schedule, and will be flying to South Africa a couple days after receiving the books from the printers.

I think keeping it as xx/100 for all the books would work. Just make the 1st 25 as the Signature edition. and state this is "First Print #xx/100, Singature Series 1/25" and just "First Print #xx/100" for the rest of the books Let people with low number decide in order if they want to convert and then just move up the list.... Personally, I have #25 and would want #25 of the Signature series as well.... Just my 2 satoshi Thanks I believe this is the ideal solution.

A few clarifications:
Since I am leaving to South Africa for work in 3 weeks, I will be sending all books forward before leaving. that means that the 'First Print' books will be sent to buyers directly, and I will send the 'Signature Edition' books to the UK for Matthew to sign. That means that the 'First Print' and the 'Signature Edition' cannot be shipped together. The 'First Print' will ship from Canada, and the 'Signature Edition' will ship from the USA. Since there are no shipping savings, there would not be a discount for ordering a Signature Edition if you already have another pre-order. That said, A discount is certainly available if you would like more than one Signature Edition book.
Regarding numbering preferences, I would like your feedback! One concern was that people might be upset if they are unable to 'convert' their low numbers, for example if they reserved #10 'First Print' but didn't want to buy one of each.
Option 1: Specific numbers can be designated as 'Signature Edition', so for example if you have already reserved #25 and #26, you could 'convert' the #25 into a Signature Edition. With this scheme, the numbers that have signatures would appear random, HOWEVER, they could also be numbered seperately., As in, they could have a 'First Print' serial number (out of 100), AND a different 'Signature Edition' Serial number (out of, say, 25).
Option 2: Another method by which this could be done is to simply designate 75-100 of the First-Print as 'Signature Edition' books. The downside here is that it would not be possible to 'convert' what you have already ordered, unless you give up the serial number you got before.
What are your preferences?

GREAT NEWS
The book will hit the printing presses TOMORROW!
-Order ships out to me in ~5 business days -Shipping time is 3-7 business days -I will ship everything out ASAP
Also, some very special news
In order ro answer some demand, a small portion (20-25) of the 100 'special edition' books will be designated as an exclusive 'Collector's Signature Edition'.
As promised, the 'Special Edition First Print' will be: - Numbered 1-100 - Signed by Elias Ahonen, Author
In addition, the 'Collector's Signature Edition' will include the following extras: - Signed by Matthew Rippon, Co-Author - Signed by Howard Kesselman, Editor - Signed by Mike Caldwell, creator of Casascius Physical Bitcoin - Include a hologram with a private key inside, allowing the books to function as paper wallets. They will be affixed by Howard Kesselman
The Collector's Special Edition will be made available first to everyone who has already pre-ordered a book. They will have an opportunity to purchase one outright, or to 'convert' one or more of their pre-ordered books into a Signature Edition by paying the extra costs.
After the exclusive offer, any left-over 'Signature Edition' books will be offered openly on the forum starting Monday, April 11th.
Since the Signature Edition books need to be shipped between several people for signing, it is expected to take 1 additional month for them to be received. They cannot be shipped along with other books.
The Collector's Signature Edition will cost 140 GBP, double that of the normal book. Anyone who has already ordered a book may pay 70 GBP to 'convert' a copy. I will be sending a message to everyone who has pre-ordered with this info later on today or early tomorrow.

I wouldn't mind doing EU sales for your book.
Thanks for the offer! I will be in touch You could ship the books to me (for example). You take orders and have me ship them off to the buyers. I am guessing that you will still have access to a computer and bitcoin while you're gone. Might be best if you could find someone in China to ship to the rest of the world since they have such very low shipping costs. Of course they might copy the book and sell for pennies. Great idea. I think it would be smart to set up sales from Europe and NA, or at least in one of those. this could also go on after the 100 are sold, though those ones would obviously not be be numbered nor would I be able to sign them.

I am happy to announce that the ISBN has been assigned! The publication process will be moving forward forthwith. The paperback will begin printing shortly, but the EPUB eBook version is still a few months out as extensive formatting is required. Also, I must make an announcement regarding some new developments. In one month, I will be leaving the country for an extended time (1 year) to work, study, and travel in Africa & Asia. I will receive and send out the pre-orders before I leave. That said, I need to set a deadline on new orders that I can guarantee sending out. I ask that all orders be placed and paid for by SUNDAY, APRIL 17th, so that I can send things out on the 18th or 19th.Feel free to ask questions in-thread or PM me.

Great news and congrats for getting it all done! How many hours have you spent on this project if you had to guess?
I don't know where I would even begin in calculating an estimation. The research, writing, formatting, re-formatting, fine-tuning, photos, photo credits, editing, proofreading, order processing. Lets just say its way more then I expected... hundreds upon hundreds of hours. Has the hologram idea been incorporated, and the book itself could have the potential to be a wallet ?
At this point I cannot confirm nor deny, but it looks like it. There would not be a pre-loaded balance, however. Awesome news, glad it came to fruition and we'll be reading it soon! How long will you be selling physical copies of the book, until the 100 are sold?
I will be printing off the 100, of which about half are already paid for. I do not believe I will continue to sell books directly after the 'first print' batch has sold, though I might if it makes sense (additional books I sell would not be numbered or have holograms). The books will be available internationally via various distributors as Print-To-Order. They will of course not be signed or numbered or have any hologram.

UPDATE:
I have requested the ISBN number today. This can take max 10 working days (hopefully much less). Once I have that, the file is submitted to the printer, who can take up to 5 days for approval. after approval, the order will be fulfilled in 5 days. There may or may not be a need for me to approve a prototype copy. This would add an extra 5 days. Once I receive the books, I will sign and number them, and quickly ship them.
