As soon as Amazon gets their act together we'll be there. They have already rejected it and I don't think that they will consider it ever again. So stop dreaming and concentrate on the basics. Let's forget about all the big names such as Amazon, Mircosoft and Ebay. Let's make sure that another scam like Mt Gox never happens again. Bitcoin does not need Amazon. It is Amazon which needs Bitcoin. So stop begging in front of the Amazon office. Who is begging Amazon? It is, like you're saying, their loss. Why would we forget about the big company names? In due time it's in the community's interest to be accepted by the mainstream society and businesses, otherwise we can never achieve maximum value. |

Same. Once they find someone accepts paypal it's quickly exploited until they use it no more.
I have never traded with him. But he has so far conducted 478 successful trades, including some high-volume ones. If he was frequently scammed, then he might have stopped with 20 or 25 trades. That didn't happened. So all I can say is that this guy must be really intelligent. He must be taking enough precautions to not get scammed. Or maybe he's just a person who trusts others, and so far has been successful doing so. Not everyone is a scammer on the internet, but there are a lot of them. |

Nope. Not every country is in debt. Only the welfare states, which encourage bankers and unions are in debt. The others are doing just fine. The best example is China. Yes. It is Obama's fault. How could you even justify his idiotic policies such as the Obamacare and the stimulus? What was idiotic about Obamacare? I was just asking myself the same question, what's the problem with Obamacare? Seems to have been helping so many people. A lot of Americans just don't seem to want free healthcare and/or like to blame Obama for everything. It's the typical ignorance of americans isn't it. It's the same, no matter who they elect, the president is always blamed for one thing or another, doesn't matter what he does, some fat bastards are going to be unhappy anyways. |

It is really a miracle that Bitcoin has stabilized at the $490-500 levels. After the Mt Gox fiasco, I really expected it to dip below the $100 mark. Think what would happen to any fiat currency, if news comes out that 8% of all the bills in circulation has been robbed. I now feel that the worst is over... but we need some really good news to take BTC over the 1K mark again...
The struggle is in different levels but yeah the worst time is over but no one can tell when btc will reach 1k$ mark again , I'm just hoping that least we will see by the end of 2014 is bitcoin reaching to 1k$ mark. As soon as Amazon gets their act together we'll be there. naa we don't need Amazon to reach the 1K$ mark again..! and I don't think Amazon is gonna in the ship anytime soon ..! Who said we needed it? You can't deny that it'd be a price and morale boost though. Any major chain would be a morale boost. Exactly. And when one company jumps onboard, the other major companies won't sit still while their competitors are ahead. |

He sends the btc to a localbtc address. There is no way that you know that the address he sends to is a localbtc address. There are ways to find it out. Most of the localbitcoins wallets are tagged. Even if they are not, we can send alerts to the localbitcoins admins. If I had some btc laying around, I would prove to you that you cannot trace coins for longer than 24 hours, if someone does not want you to. This guy is just a moron. Care to place a bet? Have someone send me .01 btc, and then tag it however you want. I bet you wont be able to trace it, and I will return it totally clean, no tumbler service needed. I agree, they don't have a chance to track it down tbh. |

No idea about that. But he sells Bitcoin in exchange for both Paypal and OKPay. Charges a premium of 17.5% if Paypal is used, and 0% if OKPay is used. That means he expects at least some of the buyers to scam him. Must be something else to it. I imagine scammers will just take advantage of this all the time. Same. Once they find someone accepts paypal it's quickly exploited until they use it no more. Yup, that's why there's so many people advising you not to use it, bitcoin related trades or not. |

Wiwthout the zero there would be no Bitcoin, right? There would be no bits or bytes or any computing ? It would seem not unless we used 1s and 2s and that just wouldn't look right, would it? that would be a completely different story ? But would it not be a story full of sound and fury and signifying nothing? I don't know, who am I to make predictions? |

This 'project' is so loosely though of that I'm scared if this does happen. Not everybody can just pack up and go 'Hey, met some people online, International Waters.' There needs to be a stable council that comes up with ideas. Not just random people asking questions, and people answering them.
you have to understand this isn't even the alpha phase yet, we're just discussing how it should be done there's plenty of time to finalize the project You don't understand. This is going to be a COUNTRY. A living, thriving, country. Even discussions are supposed to be professional. This isn't some COMPANY, were people get together and discuss what's going on, in different phases. I have a idea - Focus on one topic or such for ever month. Come back and polish the ideas afterwards. This is going to be? Sounds like a pretty big promise, how far in the process are you right now if I may ask? |
