thanks for your opinion but you are only saying this because you have not been effected by the theft.
And you only say this because youve been silly enough to buy without escrow. No one vouched for child_harold, or did anything valuable with anyone in the Iota community, so stop blaming others. You didnt care how buying without escrow could affect negatively the community. Iota is software, and they cant go around seizing accounts, because someone was stupid enough to send him money for reselling. You made a bad and stupid trade, assume it.

That escalated quickly, looks like sellers are now asking a 2x higher price.
what would the marketcap be with the latest price from OTC trades? No one knows the price. As from long ago, 2 users have been taking all trades, also in private without posting anything here. I guess it was moving between 10 and 15M$.

I posted MANY DAYS AGO i was seriously SUSPICIOUS that cryptoknight was overselling, and using no escrow.. this would obv happen.
Of course as it was mentioned, the 2 guys dropping the price getting ALL the buys. These buyers have seriously damaged the trading ecosystem and good environment with their irresponsible action.

I donīt want you to look up every case, I just wanted to say, that IF you consider to work over CHīs trades, you should do all. But I think there are more Important Things to be done right now for you both.
I donīt mind if you donīt, it is my own Risk. And if itīs all lost, itīs my own Fault.
If you are brave enough to come here and require help in a non escrowed deal, the least you could do now is POST THE USERNAME of the seller YOU SUSPECT may be scamming. It may help other people to not buy from him, or if its not too late to recover it, or clear up things. But i guess you dont care much of anyone else, as you didnt care how buying without escrow could affect negatively the community.

expect those over sold and not delivered iotas to be dumped on the market as soon as iota reaches the exchanges... i'd advise all to be ready for the cheap buys
I dont think that will have much impact. I expect iota to have decent volume, and those guys wont have an impact. Also, there is no correlation on the possible oversold scam, to what they really think of iota, or if they plan to hold longterm. Exchange trades are anonymous. In fact i think that creates more buying pressure. Because nothing changed for the scammer position, but all failed buyers, who wanted to be in iota, would still want to buy.

I agree there is responsibility on both sides. Yes, lesson learned, always use escrow.
Absolutely not. If one guy buys a car, and you rebuy it to him, without checking or taking any security measures, do you go to the original seller to claim a car? Or to tell them to seize the car the scammer legitimately bought? No way. Those buyers decided to ignore every advice, it was repeated 1000 times to use escrow. Not only doing something stupid for yourself, but also harming the IOTA community, and you didnt care at all of the harm you could cause. And now you claim its half responsibility of the community? NO WAYMaybe you get lucky and they decide to do something about this, but stop crying its anyones responsibility but yours. And i dont care how rude i sound. Ive been all this time telling people to use escrow, advising to do secure trades, and trying to help. And i havent sold anything except a small chunk months ago. All to keep the environment healthier. Also i keep saying to be careful with cryptoknight, because im suspicious he may oversell.

You know a theft has happened, you have the stolen goods in your possession and decide not to give them back? It's your decision of course but if CH has disappeared and is nowhere to be found and the victims want justice they don't have many options left on who to sue.
Its a matter of mentality. When i make a mistake, that instantly costs me money , i never try to get that money back. I enjoy the fact i paid for it, because it makes me learn the hard way and act smarter in the future. When someone decided to trade without escrow, they are being irresponsible and doing something stupid. I cant respect anyone who does that and then asks for help, after lots of us warned here 20 times not to buy without escrow. I also have the gut cryptoknightt has oversold. Because he is not posting anymore, and ive known of many users who have treated with him personally in private these last days, and he has been trying to sell at unusual low rates (11-14x) with no escrow. Sorry if im mistaken. For the 3289742389734298 time, DONT TRADE WITHOUT ESCROW

Interested in IOTA
Pls post the price G IOTA / BTC
I sell 4000 Giota for 40 btc (100 Giota per btc). Succesfully completed previous trade. Escrow and collateral on my side, and fast delivery. Good luck bro: ICO price was about 0.00043 Bitcoin/ Giga Iota -> 100 Giga Iota for 0.043 BTC Btw how is it possible to buy them through NXT coins? There is something very wrong in those numbers, dont know if yours or mine. Im not selling at 100x And typically, all trades for nxt have had a way higher rate than standard bitcoin trades. ICO price was about 0.00043 Bitcoin/ Giga Iota So 4000 Giota, was 1.72 btc. 40/1.72 = 23.25x ICO price. Its a bit over the 125 Giota for 0.85 offered by someone that has dissappeared and not connected in over a month, and without escrow. (maybe scam?)
