1  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Google Adwords Budget Exhausting Traffic Service - No More Competitors on: November 08, 2022, 10:10:04 AM
This is a service that I would be interested in

Can you provide me with more details ??  e.g how do you use proxies to stop adwords from classifying the traffic as bots ?? how do you make the behaviour of the bot seem organic and human ??

Do you have a telegram group or website
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Mysteries Of Bitcoin on: October 11, 2022, 06:09:47 PM
I my book satoshi must have (sadly ) died at some point in 2011 - no way could a human being sit on such wealth and do exactly zero !

So the prime candidate, in my view, is Len Sassaman.

Has this theory been debucked yet ?

So what is happening with this project? Last twitter post was in December 2018  Roll Eyes

Ignoring several fallacies and conflictions in the White Paper, have they even raised any public funds with their ICO??

Where are there datacenters located for their POS network??

So many questions, and no answers ??
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking of making a new coin. on: June 23, 2014, 03:51:31 PM
The backing would be done through bullionvault. Or I could use bitcoin as a backing with the wallet being public and viewable.

I have thought about inflation of the price going over the asset value. It would be similar to a stock/share/company bond though with a positive net asset value.

For example:

The Company Bond starts with a value of £100. Market is good and news is positive for the company. The bond now trades for £150 but still only has a value of £100. However can also go in reverse market is in decline and bond now trades for £70 but still has a value of £100 when it matures and is cashed back in with the company.

It's just an idea at the moment and any thoughts are greatly appreciated be they positive or negative.

I know for a fact having dealt with BullionVault many times over the years, that they would have major problem with that idea. Also IMHO backing of an alt coin with physical assets crosses the Rubicon for many regulators. For starters if you where using silver, there would be VAT implications within the UK.

I applaud you for thinking "out the box" but the FCA, SFO and HMRC would be all over it.

Did not know Roger Ver was a Goldmanite ??

Did he work at Goldmans before or after he went to prison.

Or is someone  getting a little confused with Fred Ehrsam

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Merchant's cost of accepting cash on: June 17, 2014, 09:39:06 AM
How much does it cost the merchant to accept cash?

It takes time to count notes and coins, and to give back change.
Counterfeits might be a problem.
Money needs to be counted at the end of the day, which takes time.
Employees may steal a little a bit as the sum seldom adds up anyway.
Money needs to be transported to the bank securely, which isn't cheap.
Cash pays no interest until deposited in bank.
Other costs as well?
How much does this all add up to?

My local supermarket has a lcd monitor at each counter where it shows the price (among other info). It could very easily also display a bitcoin QR code. Assuming zero confirmations is secure enough, it would take only seconds to make a payment. The supermarket could exchange bitcoins to euros several times a day, and only face fees and spread which adds up to 1% or so. Would a payment in bitcoin be more lucrative for the supermarket than cash?

Just going back to the OP. Yes, it costs businesses money, certainly in the UK to deal with cash. For example when a business actually deposits the money into their account at the branch level they are changed a fee. HSBC is instance charges its banking customers 60pence for every 100.00 pounds. If a small business turns over allot of cash this fee can add up to hundreds or even thousands of pounds

Once "they" get their hands on it they will pervert it.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Coming Digital Anarchy (must read!) on: June 10, 2014, 03:41:52 PM
Read all of the article this morning. I can't remember a single instance in the past where a journalist working for a ( once hostile ) mainstream media mouthpiece has articulated Bitcoin and the blockchain so succinctly.

Bitcoin has definitely arrived - I don't know if this is good or bad. Perhaps this is the next question.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: You are here. on: April 02, 2014, 09:35:14 AM
And Goldman Sachs stated that Bitcoin was the best performing for 2013 on a risk adjusted return basis.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-03-12/bitcoin-was-2013s-best-risk-adjusted-performer

Even beating the S+P 500

You need to look at the performance over a longer term basis.
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Diamond Circle, Freemason on: March 15, 2014, 08:31:30 PM
anyone is free (or not) to endorse bitcoin.

what i think is potentially dangerous is the so-called bitcoin foundation
(or others who purport to speak for bitcoin or the bitcoin community)
endorsing certain companies or other ideas or movements

Exactly we need to be aware of the enemy within and not Freemasons FFS!

Freemasonry is literally dying out anyway due to the controversies in the late 80 early 90's about the banker killed on Blackfriars Bridge in London http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roberto_Calvi . A complete failure to recruit new members has left it a shadow of the former self.

Use your energies to try and track down the missing Gox coins or something
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: @fonestar (on the ZeroKnowledge Blog) is a true hero on: March 12, 2014, 10:41:40 PM
OK so I am a long long time reader of Zerohedge back to the .blogspot days. I am a gold bug and also a bitcoinbug and they are a not mutually exclusive in my opinion

Fonestar is a troll from TPTB. Zerohedge is bearish on Bitcoin after initially pushing it and the reason for this is that the readers of ZH are ( mostly ) a bunch of old libertarians stacking silver and ammo who have not initially got crypto's - yet. Fonestars role is to push cryto's away from this group, the prose, talking in the third person etc is highly annoying and his message is uber uber bitcoin.

A troll pure and simple NOT a hero
13  Economy / Goods / Re: For Sale: 24kt 999.9 1g, 2.5g, 5g gold bullion, LMBA Certified Refinery on: February 07, 2014, 05:56:04 PM
Karatbars is an E-COMMERCE company. And provides quality and security in international business transactions. With the large number of scams and uncertainty, choose your own path - but its a great alternative for those who value peace of mind, stability and sustainability.

It is easy for an outsider to form opinions, as I once was an outsider - but I am more appreciative of honesty from someone who ACTUALLY KNOWS what they are talking about.

For those interested in the controversy, start your reputation research with GOOGLE and karatbars in the search bar.

Stop with the straw man tactics. Where is the link to your prices for these bars? If you can match Amagi I will buy this afternoon with Bitcoin...
Ahh and another thing. Is karatbars offering bullion for bitcoin now? - this is a bitcoin forum after all ??

Send me an email, I'll respond with a picture of the product. You can also check out www.karatbars.com, our main website. I am connecting you to a quality product that is packaged under video surveillance and shipped internationally using FedEx. We only conduct business after receiving "KYC" or "Know your client" documents to assure the person ordering our gold is the person receiving the product. Security and customer service is paramount. I am a liaison to a private gold buying club for the serious gold buyer.

Skype ID: NSWilliams12345

Karat Bars is a complete MLM and the prices they offer for there bars after you have signed up for the scheme are ludicrous   - or tell me otherwise by stating the price of your 1gram , 2.5g  and 5g bars. And the link on the karat bars site showing these prices???

If you are looking to buy bullion go to agora or amagi not these guys

15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: amir taaki on bbc :( on: February 07, 2014, 10:46:52 AM
Forget about this car crash interview and Amir talking about five years olds in Iran setting up gambling sites, there is a greater meme..

Amir is passionate, a great guy and has allot to offer the bitcoin community. But this is simply a MSM set up. This is a typical British MSM tactic - "build them up then smash them down"

Amir's profile is tainted by the whole Intersango situation. This will be used against him in the future. The message will be, "look at that guy he is bitcoin and look at what he has done."  - Even if he is completely innocent, he needs to fix the Intersango situation before is goes on MSM and speaks to the likes of Huw Edwards.

We love you Amir but you are not the right person at this stage to speak to the MSM about Bitcoin.

17  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin UK Tax Review To Give Currency Global Boost on: January 31, 2014, 10:13:37 AM
This is a positive move forward. The important thing to remember about the Channel Islands and in particular Jersey is that they are not "offshore" in the same vain as Panama, Seychelles, or Vanuatu.

Jersey is more "offshore light" so any positive moves by them is a good thing. Might even influence HMRC to remove this stupid "voucher" categorical they have on BTC. When this happens it will drive significant players within the Uk into the bitcoin and alt currency world.
