Are you having an ICO or IEO
There was an ICO for Tao (originally XTO) back in 2016. It was done before the major ICO hype set it and it was done in a legally compliant way that did not count as a security, making it a rarity. However, the FanMix.com platform will include "IAOs" (aka Initial Artist Offerings) for musicians - they have a large number of artists already onboard ranging from no-name up-and-coming artists to established big names. Each artist token will only be tradable against Tao and so each one adds to Tao's value. Make sure to read my posts upthread for more details, and feel free to ask any questions you may have. Why is the coinmarketcap data for Tao missing? Also, where are the current exchange markets for TAO? https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tao/Are you going to release your 2019-onwards roadmap also? Your website shows up until Dec 2018 plans only. CMC data is missing a lot of data because after Cryptopia delisted Tao CMC chose not to include data from any other exchanges. It is currently on three exchanges that I know of: FreiExchange: https://freiexchange.com/market/TAO/BTCqTrade: https://qtrade.io/market/TAO_BTCand the official home on AltMarket: https://exchange.alt.market/As for the roadmap, the copy in the OP of this thread shows up through the March 2019 launch of AltMarket. The next step is the launch of FanMix, which I've been posting about recently. You can expect more details on July 4th. Thanks for the reply. However, CMC should update with your current listings. Maybe, you need to communicate with them regarding the current info of your coin. With thousands of altcoins to be catered, they can't check all the details by themselves. They need help from your end. At least provide the markets where you are currently traded. CoinMarketCap were made aware of our symbol change from XTO to TAO as soon as it happened but require volume on two exchanges that they already list for it to show up. Two we are already on are Freiexchange and Novaexchange, we just need more volume on those and can get the CMC listing back really quickly. As mentioned they are also aware of altmarket having responded after the initial application with detailed questions which we sent by return. Ball is in their court on that one. The gatekeepers of crypto like CMC are ill equipped to handle a symbol change so I’ve found out. Even convincing Delta to consolidate our multiple entries has been a headache but either way, I am on a personal mission to get all this in order.

I used the 1.2.4 version to burn but get the following error: value is type int, expected str (code -1) My command was: burn 10 pubkey where pubkey was the pubkey generated on the blacknet website. If I put the 10 in quotes will that fix it?

Is it safe to use the account generator and version 1.2.4 for Windows? 1.2.5.1 won't run on my BLK machine for some reason so want to be sure before burning anything that the Mac instructions will be fine in the corresponding Windows version?

Edit: Oops, misread this before responding previously. I have asked the dev to update the link. Coinmarketcap already has the taoexplorer.com one.

Thats a nice price Poloniex got, probably a good thing for them to have revamp or whatever.
I think you underestimate their plans. Circle are backed by Goldman Sachs and their aim is to turn Poloniex into a fully legalised and regulated fiat exchange with multiple currency support - a direct competitor to coinbase, meaning onboarding noobs and generating a lot more interest in their offerings.

Why the new thread ?
Going to try skirt around the drama, but long story short, developer abandoned the project, renamed Blackcoin and is forcing a fork without consensus. Being Blackcoin's birthday, suiting for us to continue without him and wish him all the best. So, I should stick to v1.2.4 for staking ? 1.2.5 was released and is fully compatible with ongoing development of Lore which you can also use. Neither of these clients are breaking away from the “norm” as it stands tho Lore may move away and branch out eventually to continue to progress BLK. The blacknet or whatever rat4/dolittle is doing will be a totally different proposition but not a single line of code has been shown to exist yet.

Being Blackcoin's birthday, suiting for us to continue without him and wish him all the best. I think it's worth noting that Blackcoin does still have active developers doing amazing stuff and have been doing so for years while the original guy who launched the coin faded into obscurity. Blackcoin is a pure community driven effort, a totally unique proposition in this day and age. And has proven itself over 4 years as reliable and solid. Maybe this thread will find some people who've never heard of it. It's worth getting involved, anyone can make a difference here.

How about explaining to the forum where this has come from and linking to the cool stuff? The OP there looks more half assed than rat4's in a way given how much we have to show off.

Has anyone experienced this problem? Just tried to withdraw my LTC and did NOT receive a confirmation e-mail... And i don't even have a transaction number. Should I just wait?
Yes, thanks to the guys who suspended the domain, I suspect email servers are having trouble resolving the originating domain so emails from it aren't getting passed on. And because there's no 'resend email' feature, our coins are in limbo. I've already removed them from my holdings on blockfolio as written off. The support queue is full, they'll never get back to us on this one I'm sure.

Marked for delisting on C-CEX yet again!
Will mystery benefactor step in and churn the volume like usual?!

I've also been in BLK since the very first day and recent events feel appropriately timed.
From first hand experience helping where I can, Janko has pretty much single handedly pushed development work on for BLK for over 2 years. I would have no qualms whatsoever if he took the lead in its future.
If rat4/Dolittle's vision differs from Janko then we just need some clarification and input with a view to coming up with something everyone agrees with. If he remains quiet, he might have to build his dream himself without current support.
Maybe we should give rat4 a deadline to have explained what he meant so we're not hanging on for yet another year before major changes?

i can not log in. i put in my email as user name and then the password. i hit login and the 2fa comes up so i put in my 2fa and when i hit log in it starts over wanting my name and password all over again. it's like a continuous loop and i go around in circles but can never login.
If you click the button to login rather than press enter it seems to work.

What is the max. Supply from BLK ?
There’s no hard limit but the inflation is fixed at around 840,000 coins a year. So while we’re at 76 million coins today, it will take until around the year 2050 to reach 100 million. (60S*60M*24H*365D/67S)*1.5block=706029 67secend generate a block,it will increase about 706029BLK per year。 Sorry - meant to read 740,000, typo. The block target is 64 seconds. 60 / 64 x 1.5 = 1.40625 generated per minute x 60 = 84.375 per hour x 24 = 2025 per day x 365.25 (taking into account leap years) = 739,631.25 per year. Current supply: 76,603,031 BLK 100,000,000 - 76,603,031 / 739,631.25 = 31.633288885508826 years to reach 100m coins. it is 67seconds per block, not 64seconds No, it is 64 seconds. It's a target so not exact but the target has been 64 seconds since PoS 3. See the OP: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=469640.0

Anyone know a legit blackcoin pool ?
Blackcoin switched to proof of stake a long time ago. There is no pool where you can mine Blackcoin. For helping securing the network you can hold blk in your wallet and stake your coins. As reward you shall receive blk. What is the reward for holding them in your wallet? How many % per day/week/month? There is no fixed percentage. The reward for staking is 1.5BLK + tx fees. This is fixed. The block target is 64 seconds. The likelihood of you being the staker in any block and earning 1.5BLK is dependent on the amount of coins you hold in your wallet (your weight) vs the total number of coins which are being staked (network weight). Think of it like a lottery where the number of tickets you hold increase the chance of you winning the prize in a competition which has to have a winner and that restarts every 64 seconds. This varies over time so there's no definitive answer. Generally speaking though people earn between 5-8% a year if staking 24/7/365.
