You can edit if you want to include a tip address or something. You should create a new cell in the table to include your address. You might be able to get way with taking out most of the spaces to save some characters. They're in there to force the table's cell as wide as it can go so that the signature sticks to the right side of the screen and not the cell (which ends up being in the middle of the screen).  Nice work. The only thing I prefered was I changed the middle link of mine to the mining help guide for a quick reference rather than two home page links. Can a noob get a little help here? I've only mined with asics to a pool, and of course cloud mining and know very little on the tech side about mining. I installed my wallet, and clicked start mining....is that all i have to do? It looks like I'm mining as it says that I'm at 76.86kh/s hashrate, but it also says 21days average to find a block with 2.10GH/s total in pool. Did I need to change anything to point to my spreadcoin address or is it just all set?
76k/hash of 2.1 G/hash is right that the average time/block with that hashing power would be 21 days. With GPU mining now CPU mining for profit out of the question, but still easy enough to do to support the coin and who knows, maybe you'll find a block or two. |

Spreadcoin Mining Guide

e1ghtSpace submitted the following as a mining guide. As I mentioned, I'm no miner. Does he have it right? So guys, is my guide correct? Yeah. Its correct for what hes using, obviously, because he has it working. Following it, if you have that setup is foolproof with the exception of tweaking specs for your GPU. Im having trouble configuring my Nvidia cards still. Maybe someone can help. What is the difference in X11 vs Spreadx11 or whatever its called. I think I could use my Cudaminer setup thats already functional otherwise if I knew what the technical differences were. The guide 8space submitted is nice just a little confusing explaining the .config but the dev says its already there. To clarify the explanation of creating the .config is easy to understand and the dev having it already implemented is easy to understand but the communication between the two; if you need to add it (.config) to mine despite it being integrated, is what is foggy. |

I'll donate 5 SPR to 40 different people in this thread who have 25+ posts if airball posts proof that he has more than 50,000 SPR.
I don't think he does.
If you're planning to sell size, advertising as much isn't exactly the smartest thing to do. I think he is hoping to shake out weak hands.
I can prove it very easily with solid evidence I have 50K+ spr. 40*5=200 how about let's have a bet? All I want is my CPU to find a block and Ill feel accomplished. But Ill take a quick 5 too I suppose lol EDIT: Team airball  |

Okay so I made a quick step one page. This doesn't relate to mining yet but its (sort of) visually appealing. lol Figured Id make a little step by step for new users to relate rather than turn away for any reason relating to start up difficulties. I noticed theres no 64 bit binary for Nvidia but I haven't even looked at source yet anyways so Ill mess with that later. Next I'm just going to do a quick visual how to for mining directly from the wallet, then Ill look into the gpus and compile all the pages somewhere. |

Ive only got my pc set up no true rig. Ive supported other coins before but only with pools never solo. Im set up now with cudamuner and just replace my gpus code withthe pools info. Im at work now but ill be off in 4 hours. Ill write up a setup guide when I get home. Maybe we can schedule an IRC meeting and get some group assistance to speed things up a bit?
You will need nvminer to mine this coin with Nvidia cards. As of now that is the only miner supporting this coin. I guess it is also possible to mine with sgminer (which is called AMD miner in OP) on Nvidia cards. At least it works on integrated Intel GPU, I was able to get around 40 kh/s from it, didn't tried it on Nvidia cards though. Six months ago or so Cudaminer was the only software for Nvidia. Im home from work now. Got a few things to do around the house then Ill set up my comp. If I get stuck on anything Ill post complications but I should be able to figure it out sober heh. Once its up Ill make a dummies guide, but this will only be for Windows OS using Nvidia cards. |
