Totally sucked off!

Can I mine legit Iocoins with a compiled windows binary that dates from before the official start time?
No. If you could them people would have been doing it for the last few days.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Thomas Nasakioto" of ixcoin is OldMiner... on: August 16, 2011, 05:22:38 PM
Oldminers sig creeps me the fuck out...

I don't think your 'time since last block found' is updating properly

I think this may still be broken? Seeing 20+ minutes right now (longest block in the last 100 is just over a minute).  I am thinking the 'time since last' won't even be needed until after the first difficulty adjustment.

ton of stales... 5.5% over 6000 shares. what is going on???
Firstly, it's in test mode ...
Secondly, stales should be VERY high early on coz the blocks disappear almost faster than you can put in shares
i.e. logic dictates that
I am not talking about i0 guild. I am talking about BTC Guild, which is why I posted in the BTC Guild forum not the i0 Forum.

@eleuthria, what is going on with the stales??  4.3% over 30,000 shares overnight!! Any idea what is causing this??

IS ANY ONE ELSE HAVING THIS MANY STALES???
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I0 Guild - I0Coin Pool from BTC Guild on: August 16, 2011, 12:48:30 PM
The IX Coin pool is taking 3%, so I am happy with 2.08%. Will be splitting my miners 1/2 to the pool and 1/2 to solo.
The IX Coin pool made a loss, even charging 3%, because it pays out on orphan blocks and there are a large number that occur when blocks are flying left and right every few seconds. So the real fee wasn't 3%, it was more like -1%.
I have no problem with your 3% fee. I was happy to pay it on the shit load of ixcoins I mined with your pool! Just merely commenting on what the other pool's are charging.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I0 Guild - I0Coin Pool from BTC Guild on: August 16, 2011, 12:44:56 PM
Why is there already 65 GH/s pointed at the pool? Don't people know it doesn't start for 3+ hours.  Seems like a waste to me.

I'm getting 50% rejecteds right now on the test pool Sad  What gives?

Most miners take longer than 10 seconds to find a hash, but the blocks are getting solved faster than that. So by the time your miner tries to submit it's hash, the pool is already working on the next block (or 2). I was seeing 80% stale. Once the first jump in difficulty and the blocks start taking longer than a minute to solve, the stales will go way down.

You would be competing with the speed whether the pool was here or not Smiley.  If it doesn't go online they'll just solo mine.

I'm not turning BTC Guild's hash power towards I0 Coin, just providing a well established pool frontend/backend for I0 Coin.
You should make an ix pool real quick to snag the bounty for the tier 1 pool... I know nothing about coding, but if you were able to get this one up that quick you can do the same for IX. 10,000 IXC are worth about $300 right now.

Also, on the block payout page, it says block value is 47 not 48

any precompiled exes available yet?
+1, I have already tested i0.btcguild.com, but want to test out some solo mining prior to launch!
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I0 Guild - I0Coin Pool from BTC Guild on: August 16, 2011, 01:24:52 AM
484 (1156, 70.49%)

Accepted Shares =   484
Stale Shares       = 1156
Total Shares       = 1640

I did point everything I have at it for about 10 mins.

I think the blocks were just being solved too quickly.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I0 Guild - I0Coin Pool from BTC Guild on: August 16, 2011, 01:02:15 AM
Are the crazy amount of stales (70% +) from the short rounds?

Give this forum a shot, I'm trying to make feedback the core if it..
http://btcmarket.us

It has been quite difficult to get traffic though..
That's because you are using SMF...derp
I don't understand your derp...   Bitcoin Forum is running on SMF...
Without the Bitcoin Community, this forum would be dead.
You need a few things like Moderators.
Based on what you said, your zinger doesn't make sense.  I agree that without the community, his forum won't prosper. You seemed to be saying that because it was running on SMF, it was doomed.

How about implementing the feedback portion from bitmarket into bitcointalk? Since both forums are running on SMF, it has to be easy to implement.

Paid back 2 BTC with .02 BTC gratuity. A 91% gratuity if you calculate it like an interest rate (2 BTC loaned for 4 days).

Thanks to the IBB!

I also would like to know if there is a way to see similar stats when solo mining like you are able to with the pools. getinfo gives some limited info, but nothing that lets you know you are actually getting anywhere solo mining.
