The biggest issue I see with it becoming more popular.. is more trojans and attacks.. I just read a news article this morning about Trojans targetting bitcoins and stealing them.. maybe it is an old article.. since I am new to this and all .. I did recieve my first bitcoin from a bitcoin faucet ap today.. So am excited about that, and I posted some listing on forbitcoin job board.. one is to like peoples facebook fan pages and other is to invite people into my secret society.. I have more than one.. IF I can make an earning someone in my bitcoins I might be able to convince others to give it a try.. since most of who I work with are on the barely making it poor in and out of homelessness .. but yet have good computer skills.. This may help.. As far as the credit card with bitcoins go .. um do we really want the credit card companies that are treating us badly doing so with bitcoin too? .. I don't but I did stumble onto bitbills, my question is .. is that real or a scam? ... looks good if it works... - Casey

I read somewhere that the bitcoins people earn from mining blocks... Are to keep making and solving new incrypted puzzles, as well as new bitcoins.. To keep the system safer from hacking.. not sure if that is true.. Please correct me if I understand this wrong. - Casey

I have been trying that to and the generating program stops a lot when I am not looking... So far no luck to getting to a single bitcoin .. but if there fees are that high then it is worthless for me.. none of my friends trust the bitcoin mining so a pool is out of the question for me .. - Casey

Other / Beginners & Help / BTC Flashdrive wallets?
|
on: June 15, 2011, 03:59:03 AM

I am sure this exists already.. But computers sometimes crash and burn up to easily.. or tend to be lightning strike prone every so often like me and mine are... So, what are your thoughts on a flash drive back up wallet, some program.. That also may exist not only to back up your bitcoins but allow you to go to anothers house or store and spend them at their place, in a computer just for bitcoin transactions?
Does anyone have or do a system like this? Or the pros and cons of running a bitcoin program totally from a flashdrive... Maybe people have mining programs from flash drives too to save their computers resources.. - Casey

I firmly believe if bitoin is used the right way it can actually save the world wide economies... As well as let the little people who are not able to make it well in the regular money paying world, give us a chance to make it.. That is why I am interested in trying this out. I need my chance to make it.. But, it seems that bitcoin will be more popular with micronations, internet clubs, and the biggest source for earnings and sales would be in downloadable or email able codes or items.. or smaller priced physical items.. I hope to see positive things come out of bitcoin more than negative.. but I always tend to hope enthusiastically for the positive and better things... But a people who do bitcoins may want to possibly think about doing exchanges not just with regular currencies but local currencies and token like companies.. That maybe a better route than turning it into a physical cash .. is turn it into gift certificates, tokens, or coupons.. To allow people to save their physical cash.. just a thought..
