461  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoinica and mtgox codes is hard to trade like this on: January 12, 2012, 04:46:30 PM
Lately I have had to resort to buying BTC with my USD profits on Bitcoinica itself, which is a huge percentage hit, just to get my profits out of Bitcoinica and into Gox -> then sell again -> then Dwolla...grrrr.  Sucks.  They need a higher limit with Gox.
462  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: the first automated bitcoin trading tool - legit stuff ? on: January 12, 2012, 04:43:57 AM
Welp, I deposited 1.81097116 BTC 4 hours ago and it says I have pulled a 0.0237 BTC profit so far.  That's not bad for 4 hours of soak time!  Of course I have yet to withdraw anything.
463  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Daily Speculation Poll] :: Bitcoiner Age Groups on: January 12, 2012, 01:25:00 AM
In SoCal, yes it is legal and I'm actually not sure why because it looks incredibly hair-ball unless cars are at a dead stop.  I'll probably ride for a week before I even try it.  It is going to feel nice cutting 30 minutes off my commute, though.  SoCal's freeways rarely run the speed limit at all anymore, lol.
464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amir Taaki (genjix) on Max Keiser on: January 12, 2012, 01:19:31 AM
I was disappointed that Max kept trying to get him to talk about Bitcoin and he kept going on and on about other stuff.
465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ARTICLE] Titcoins! What Porn Can Do for Bitcoin on: January 12, 2012, 01:18:01 AM
You know, I think this article is right.  The fastest way to mass adoption of bitcoin is to link it to porn.  After all, the only thing the internet is good for is porn, right?  On a more serious note, walk in to any major datacenter and ask them who their biggest customers are.  They will point to huge racks *full* of servers that serve porn sites -- not joking.  It is a large industry.

So cash out in a month?
467  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Daily Speculation Poll] :: Bitcoiner Age Groups on: January 12, 2012, 01:00:18 AM
I'm more scared of learning how to split lanes than I am doing a rocky hillclimb, jumping things, or getting sideways on my dirt bike, lol.  But yeah, I know what you mean.  When I drive the freeways I drive like every single idiot is ready to turn their car into me at any moment for no reason whatsoever.  It's like an freakin' obstacle course just to get to work...and that's in a full size car!
468  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Daily Speculation Poll] :: Bitcoiner Age Groups on: January 12, 2012, 12:46:44 AM
I'm 28.  Only about 6 years ago did I start paying attention to financial news, started watching the stock market, etc.  I've learned a lot about investing since then, and Bitcoin was my first real investment and first real trading experience.  I'm glad I took the gamble - I've purchased all my street bike safety gear and my MSF course with nothing but BTC profits, close to buying my bike from a friend now.

Awesome!

I have also invested in gear from BTC, I just wish I could buy gear IN btc..

Welcome rider, keep the shiny side up and the rubber down.. //

Ride safe! I hit bambi last year and removed my elbow, was riding in tshirt and jeans..  I learned my lesson, ATGATT

You dont wanna be like me an in the hospital asking how they are going to stitch me up and the nurses all laughing..

They said you have to have skin to stitch up first... :S

If I had my gear on, I could have walked away from the bambi slaying incident..

Heres a pic of the stupid cop that was about to eviscerate the baby dear with a shot gun.. Smiley

He was quickly called an idiot when the animal control yelled at him and said his side arm was much more relevant, and to get back, he has a needle for this sorta thing.

/snip

Ah shit man, you hit Bambi!!!  Well, I didn't skimp on my dirt bike safety gear and I definitely didn't skimp on my street bike gear either.  Still doesn't mean I won't get hurt.  Fell down in 1st gear learning how to slide the rear and tore up my knee again.  Buddy was wearing full gear on New Years and tried to take a little jump and ended up in a helicopter with 5 broken ribs, punctured lung, knocked out, air entering chest cavity under his skin, etc.  Motorcycles are just freakin' dangerous and I fully realize it.
469  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitscalper anyone use this ? on: January 12, 2012, 12:13:31 AM
Well, I only gamble with a small percentage of my total BTC..what I can afford to lose.
470  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitscalper anyone use this ? on: January 11, 2012, 11:56:34 PM
Giving this a try with a few BTC.  Will report findings.
471  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: the first automated bitcoin trading tool - legit stuff ? on: January 11, 2012, 11:55:45 PM
I'm giving this a try and will report if it works/is legit.  Hard trusting a 5 post newbie, but can't hurt too much with just a few BTC.
472  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoinica - Advanced Bitcoin Trading Platform on: January 11, 2012, 09:27:38 PM
To all who have DNS issues, please give OpenDNS a try.  It will make your life easier and it will keep zhoutong from having a heart attack when somebody says his website is down when it's not.

You can lose more fake money at fxtrade.oanda.com with a practice account before losing real bitcoins too.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN booth at CES Las Vegas! Tell all reporters! on: January 11, 2012, 05:38:11 AM
What I have learned from this thread: Your booth model is hawt  Grin

The same goes for your avatar.

Oh thanks, just a quick crop of Megan Fox from FHM.
476  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I can connect FXCM forex trading platform to Mt Gox. Anybody interested? on: January 11, 2012, 05:18:01 AM
Man I wish this project would have went through.  Would be first competition for Bitcoinica and I definitely would have used it, and probably paid to use it like suggested.

Is this the bot making the 0.0123 trades at high frequencies?
479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Clash of the Titans on: January 10, 2012, 06:27:46 AM
So, who profits from volatility?
Good traders.  It's like christmas for them.  I'm stuck in a long position above $7 and I refuse to liquidate.  If I wasn't stuck in a position I would have had an orgasm during that swing.
480  Economy / Speculation / Re: Clash of the Titans on: January 10, 2012, 06:24:03 AM
That is one hell of a candlestick.  Does anybody have the technical name for it?  You know, like those other 40 names for candlesticks like morning star and shit?
