And the point of sharing your stats is? Did you have any problems after the upgrade? Is your wallet currently mining/updating? I'm trying to solve my stats 'as yours above are' - not showing up in other than transactions history as valid/confirmed over 5600 times yet its' as if I have lost my sharecoins. Balance should be 65560 but shows Zero. Stake should be equal to 7 other unconfirmed showing up as mined - generated but not accepted? ? wtf? DEV!!!!!! To show I'm fine on my end. Not sure why everyone else has problems? I haven't touched or tweked my wallet at all. Just downloaded the link and that's it. Thanks but you did more than just "download" the program. You installed it too, obviously and how and where you installed it may be discovered, the why behind our problem. I installed my update in a different folder. Closed the old *.qt.exe from several days ago and ran the latest *.qt.exe. Program opened, updated but left my balance/stake etc, sitting at 0.00. Just recently tried copying the new exe from its own folder and overwrote the old exe in the old folder. Both seem to be linked to their respective associated files and folders like they are supposed to be. I don't want to delete the old one just yet until I get the latest one running right. NEVER... NEVER...NEVER...use automatic update with Windows. Microsoft has been known to release buggy updates. Then instead of notifying everyone to the fact, you have to search (forums, etc.) to find out. I let them build up and then do a search to see if anyone is having any problems. ALWAYS close your wallets before installing any updates. |

It's official you DO NOT need to keep your wallet open to earn stake rewards. But, as was just said, if no one runs their wallets then there are no transactions. But, I assume the dev will get several nodes going all the time to ensure that doesn't happen. It wouldn't be good.
Just to be clear (see red) There are POS coins/wallets that, if you do not open them in a certain amount of time the rewards expire. OH YES! This is why some POS devs give minimum (days/hours to age) and "maximum" (days/hours to lose reward) days to mine. I am not sure if these numbers were ever posted by the DEV..anybody? MINIMUM, yes (24 hrs)..I'm talking about maximum.
Also, he is talking about the aging process. The coins to not go into your balance until you open it. Clear? That is why I would like to know what the MAX days are for our POS system. DEV?
The easiest solution? Get yourself a good anti-virus and mal-ware program, leave your wallet open most of the time and forget about it
To be honest, I almost got into buying Bitcoin in 2011 but the stories of keylogger malware scared me away. My loss, on the face of it... Bummer.... but yes forgot about that. Excellent advice. Personally, I'm waiting for one of these new giveaway coins to have a wallet stealer/keylogger included...It's just a matter of time. You newbs better let me hold your coins for yah just to be safe |

I followed this advice and now my wallet is updated. However, my balance, stake and unconfirmed all say 0 SHARE. This despite my recent transactions showing the influx of my 65359 stake and an additional 132 that it was staking. Why is this the case? There are no outgoing transactions.
Can anyone help with this? I also have that problem of not staking I've been trying for days to get an answer but no one seems to know  also you have to have your wallet encrypted and unlocked to stake i know that much because everyone keeps telling me that Lol I found the BlackCoin FAQ on PoS staking. It seems you don't have to have your wallet open 100% of the time. I assume this coin will work the same. Somebody mentioned this a few posts back that an open wallet is what keeps the system going. This absolutely true. Just like regular miners and their rigs keep BTC going. If 100% of the share wallets were closed their could be no transactions. Also, you do not have to encrypt your wallet ever. This is only for security. The only thing is if you DO encrypt your wallet (again, for security) then you have to use your password to unlock it before you can start mining. I think the newbie are confusing OPENING your wallet with UNLOCKING your wallet. |
