Although I 'm indifference to the assertion that there's no basis for comparison of both bitcoin and etheruem because personally, aside the fact that bitcoin was created before etheruem and it's more popular and recognize more than etheruem.
Etheruem blockchain has more usecases than that of bitcoin.

Bitcoins is well recognized more than ethereum like you said. bitcoin is known as the only coin while the others (ethereum,ripple, etc ) are known as ALT-COINS. but please Note that Bitcoin can do everything ethereum can do as well. i don't think etherem will fail below usd100 again after the last year breakdown.but if happens to taste that price again. we will surely goes as low usd 50 for ethereum and its horrible for the market. a long bull market will take time to happen. not in the next 6 months. the downfall of these top coins affects the alt-coins badly. a market melt-down is looming if the market fails to stabilize this year.

We all saw that coming yesterday. it was obvious that ethereum will pass XRP after a huge market surge last year late december on XRP. As of November 25 last year, XRP was capped at $13,998,356,446 and eth was $11,158,159,719. it clearly shows that ripple has gone ahead of ethereum. the sudden change looks like its related to the ethereum hard fork schedule in this january. lets hope it maintains its support.

From the look of things yesterday. it was certain that Ethereum will make its way back to the second spot. it shows it really has something to offer. the fork about to happen is something else. hoping it will not bring the market down just like the bitcoincash did.honestly i will not trade this days with what goes on in the news. it's alittle bit confusing.

My email has been attached several times due to registration on googlesheet airdrops. advise to anyone who cares to listen to avoid googlesheet Airdrops. and also make sure they have a little bit idea of Airdrops they want to join. worst case now is that Airdrops that finally hits an exchange are not trad-able due to the limit amount.

Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing. I have to agree that ETH shouldn't be evaluated on its price. Adoption wise it's the king for smart-contracts. I am dissapointed still with the amount of dapps that ETH has, I hoped it would be more by now. But 40% of all the altcoins were developed on ethereum. More are still coming. i think Adoption is on the high side. it depends on the utility. Most Dapps are not useful. some have decided to build their own platform. For me the price is still below expectation. this is the first project to introduce a platform for smart contracts. |

I must tell you. it is time consuming. some pays less. also people get discouraged due to the fact that that some projects are just scam. working out your time to participate in a bounty to discover that such project is a scam. a lot of people has moved on. it is no longer interesting.

Honestly. i am into the top 50 cryptocurrency. enough of all the rest of the altcoins. they are just copy cats. there are tons of projects yet to be discovered and worked on. developers feel like copying other projects with different names. currently it is hard to figure out long term tokens. some projects are good but honestly feed out due poor managerial plans and market manipulations.

Just like a prominent guy vows that ethereum will die. that many projects are now migrating to their own blockchain. some are discovering the flaws in ethereum and they are migrating. Rip will go a long way. currently it is the second in the cryptomarket after moving one step ahead of ethereum. Ripple is backed by a strong force. they will stay for long but we can't tell. we all saw what happened to bitconnect. a clear ponzi business with nothing to offer.

Horrible? If you are used to do trades or whatever methods you have there, you should take the current situation as a challange. It's not Christmas everyday. And your assignment is how to deal on that. There are lots of ways to do with the current market situation. People don't have to rush things if the purpose is to profit. How to survive? Just do your usual way. We all have the ability to analyze what's the next thing to do. It's just that people are not really into making their own analyzation and mostly relied on what people will say to them. It's time now to step up. If people can't handle much the current trend then what more if the price will goes below $1,000 as an example. if this happens. seriously. if the price of bitcoin goes below 1,000, we will enter into cryptocurrency recession. i think 40% of investors will abandon the crypto space. project developers will abscond. lot of running projects will quit. Already some of crypto currency investments are downsizing. exchanges are reducing staffs. we should not pray for this to happen. |

i have never have the opportunity to mine except the facuet games. i will love to mine using my desktop. I doubt if mining is still profitable. a lot has been said about Mining. the cost of electricity, hardware,tax ,etc. it is worth giving a trial. will love to venture into mining.

Seriously there have been lots of flaws discovered in the ethereum platform. i will love to see New projects move into and explore the EOS platform. it is a wonderful platform very fast and more secured than ethereum.
