101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting ETH on: May 07, 2020, 07:55:22 PM
I think technically the up surge was due and also how can you forget about the fundamentally important events lined up this year for Eth, the most important being Eth 2.0 and switching to pos algorithm plus improvements that will make transactions faster and cheaper. I think the hype and price will keep growing in coming weeks.

I doubt if ETH 2.0 hype is what's driving the price up currently, i do think ETH is just moving in relation to BTC due to the upcoming halving which is close. Nevertheless, I'm still holding some ETH (5% of my total portfolio). ETH is one of the few altcoins moving as BTC moves up, most altcoins dipped badly recently.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good capital managemt is important on: May 07, 2020, 12:34:01 PM
To be successful in any job, pre-experience is surely needed. But how we will gain knowledge. There are two ways- theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge. To be a successful trader, it is very much important to know how to trade, how to manage capital, how to make profit, when to buy when to sell etc. But if you only read books, papers, magazine to acquire knowledge, it will not be fruitful. Beside theoretical knowledge, you need to acquire practical knowledge. For that, you should involve with such persons who are directly engaged in trade for long days. You should study the market strategy and find out how it works, You can make a personal survey on different issues of trade. You can study the failure persons why and how they failed and so on. After all you have to start the trade in small volume initially and follow the successors to be a successful trader.

You made a good point about studying why and how traders fail in trading, and then make amend. Before i started trading, i did thorough research on reasons why traders fail, and everything boils down to improper risk management and greed. Knowing when to join a trade and when to leave is vital to be a successful trader, like OP mentioned ; safeguarding capital is imminent.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO SCAM on: May 06, 2020, 01:33:10 PM
Hi, guys, I want to ask how do I avoid ICO scams...

Are there any good ICO's left? or is the market flooded with bullshit coins?

I used to monitor icobench when ICO era was still booming to know which ICO has the best rating, but after a while, it's  obvious that some of these ico ranking sites get paid to give good rating. I think ICODROPS mentioned already has been very cool so far, even with crypto updates, i still follow them on twitter. However, i can't remember the last time I participated in ICO. Now is time for IEO anyway, follow the trend but on reputable exchanges only.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoin wallet on: May 06, 2020, 08:00:52 AM
The list of altcoin wallets is awesome but Imtoken and Atomic wallets are missing. Personally, I've been using trust wallet, imtoken and atomic wallets for some time and all have their uniqueness. My best altcoin wallet might not be your best, it's a matter of choice. I noticed trust wallet gives faster transactions with lower fees, and the DAPPS section is just so amazing, so I stick to it since i can store most of my coins there.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bibox Exchange? on: May 05, 2020, 10:36:21 AM
Anyone know anything about this exchange?  I check and see some coins are listed on here but how is this site compared to say binance?  Is it safe etc?
Bibox is a fair exchange but you can't compare it to binance. I only use it when the coin i want to trade is in bibox and not on bigger exchanges like Binance, okex, HUOBI and kucoin. You can use it anyway, atleast there is no scam allegation i know of against Bibox for now. Also beware that no exchange is super safe, only use exchanges for trading purpose only not for storing coins.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How did hex already do 100x in 2020? on: May 05, 2020, 09:10:39 AM
Many people talking about HEX and yet I can't find any working product for the project. When hype makes a coin skyrocket in price, people who buy when it's overpriced become victims. I'm not saying HEX is not cool but I'm not comfortable with mad pumps which do not look organic. Congrats to those holding anyway, but it's always good to take some profit when need be.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening? on: May 04, 2020, 01:33:09 PM
price drop from 0.065 IEO price down to 0.03$ ? This is so scary lol, the bounty campaign is fixed with limited participants, I don't think this will count

It's not strange for a coin to drop in price after IEO, it happens mostly in exchanges with lower volumes comparatively. If SPYCE dropped to about half of IEO price, it doesn't mean it won't bounce back. The team should put in more energy to revive the price, cool development updates should do the magic. Nowadays FA move the price of coins very well, so those who joined the campaign shouldn't lose hope even if reward is fixed.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is it , it's the end of cryptos on: May 04, 2020, 11:27:40 AM
Well guys this is the end ,it was a great ride ,we made money,we lost money ,we had fun ,it was a beautiful journey .

eth price today 109 usd
bitcoin price 4864 usd

They will never recover,at least we should learn the lesson from this crises.

For me most important lesson is that money isn't real  and it shouldn't be that important in life.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4y48CBEQso

Lol, how come I'm seeing this just now 🤔 Atleast those who sold their bags around 3k+ and 4k+ will be in severe pains right now. When holding BITCOIN or ETH, never rush to sell so fast especially when there is a hard dump triggered by an FUD or crisis. This should serve as a lesson, and when holding crypto for long term, invest what you can afford to lose so you won't panic sell out of frustration.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay in waves or convert them to ethereum? on: May 03, 2020, 02:30:37 PM
I bought a good number of Waves coin a couple of years ago. By watching many development news and update I thought it will contest with Eth in future. But i am now frustrated.

I bought each waves at BTC0.00135 and current price is BTC0.00012+

Should i stay in waves or convert them to ethereum?

I think right now is not the best time to dump all your WAVES since the project still has great future prospects. In my opinion, you should rather convert at least 50% to BTC since what's trending now is bitcoin halving. Don't be surprised that a big push up for BTC will further depreciate satoshi value even for top altcoins. The decision is yours to make at the end.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to offload an Altcoin on: May 03, 2020, 12:28:43 PM
If you have $400,000 worth of an Altcoin, that has a daily trading volume of $100,000, how do you offload it? Because it seems like a coin with a medium amount of trading volume only has maybe $500 trades at the most. So I don't get how someone could offload a large amount?

If you rush to place a large sell order, you will automatically create panic since traders will think its team selling off. As already suggested, sell in parts and not on the same day. Don't bother setting sell order in my opinion, or if u must do, not on same day. Just take best buy orders across some days.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does it have volume ? on: May 02, 2020, 05:30:53 PM
Sometimes, as a trader or an investor. you wonder why you miss out on tokens that does 400-6000 % increase.

You will also wonder how it missed your grasp, but do you bother to check if it has volume ?
Do you bother to check if it has buyers ? Do you further find out, if it a true pump ?

Be patient, and figure out your research functions well.

I hope i was able to present my views. do correct and suggest further opinions too

Your views are valid. A friend mentioned a coin to me some days back, saying he wants to buy because its pumping. I laughed hard after asking him if the major reason why he wants to buy was because of the mad pump, he said yes. After reviewing the coin, it was trading on a shitty exchange with only 72$ as volume, this is a trap for the gullible. We just need to be careful in making trading decisions.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Futures on: May 02, 2020, 04:18:00 PM
There are lots of cryptocurrencies and lots of coin but everyone can't make a future.  10 years ago bitcoin started their journey and they reached there goal!  But no other coin is  like them because they starts their journey for profit not to making them worldwide!

No doubt BTC is well known and actually being used in a few real life applications, it hasn't fully attained its goal in the real sense. We need worldwide acceptance, that's when BTC will be utilized to the fullest. Talking about altcoins, some also are creating impact in real life, a good example is LINK. So donot generalize when you say other coins aim to make profit only, some altcoin projects are genuine.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to escape loss as an altcoin trader on: May 01, 2020, 04:29:58 PM
To reduce loss, I mostly trade altcoins on USDT pair, unless there is no USDT pair for that coin. I choose USDT because most likely it has more trading volume compared to other stable coins. In the real sense there is no way a trader can avoid loss totally, you just need to try winning more than losing more. Stop limit has been helpful, I don't joke with it.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's wrong with Altoins on: May 01, 2020, 03:09:49 PM
To begin with, the major issue with altcoin projects is inexperience and greed from team. Nursing an idea to come up with a project isn't bad, but before then ensure there are capable team members who can achieve the project vision. Also, as OP mentioned, many new projects are just replica of existing projects with nothing new to add, same old story without plans for real life usage. Well, the good thing is that not all altcoins are in that category.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto success takes time on: April 30, 2020, 04:59:33 PM
The success of a project not only depends on the time but besides it also requires a team that can always improve the performance of a project

I really like this point and that's what most people who hold for long term miss out. The team of the project need to be up and doing with unique developmental progress, aside this the coin value goes down with time. Imagine holding a coin for a very long time, belonging to a team with zero follow up of the project roadmap, its baseless.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good time to buy some alt? on: April 30, 2020, 03:48:06 PM
Right now I'm holding just 3 altcoins, which take 20% of my entire portfolio (ETH being the main) and 80% is in BTC. The major reason why I'm not so bullish on alts now is due to the hype around Bitcoin halving, we all can see how it reflects on Bitcoin dominance and price. If an altcoin has a good FA, it's good to get some just to take profit. DATA for instance did a whooping 80% after Binance trading competition.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying low selling high ain't always successful on: April 29, 2020, 09:48:42 PM
Buying the dip has its bad side and that's unable to predict market movement You buy the dip, it goes dipper. You buy the high, it goes dipper, you convert to usdt, it starts surging ....I quit buying low selling high for now

I can relate, this happens mostly when you are not a pro in TA or when you don't enter a coin early when there is FA. However, sometimes general crypto FUD can dump a coin you are optimistic on, best way to always reduce loss is to set stop limit or stop loss. Trading involves gaining and losing if the trade goes south, if you win 70% of your trades, then you are good.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: April 29, 2020, 05:46:26 PM
Newbies are safer with top altcoins until they start learning how to choose wisely, do better diggings on new project to avoid scams

Cov-19 have been used to scam many newbies and even Corona virus coins are built too which have no real use cases

Play safe and be willing to learn

Your points are valid, it's better for a newbie who just got into crypto to invest in top altcoins, BTC taking a lion share of the portfolio rather than running here and there looking for new coins to invest in. Imagine scammers taking advantage of COVID19 to prey on newbies, who are not so good with research. For those who are old in the space, it won't be difficult to spot scam projects but not for newbies.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT trusted to use? on: April 28, 2020, 09:04:55 PM
Currently, USDT daily trading volume is over the Bitcoin trading volume and fourth highest market cap according to Coinmarketcap. My opinion is We can't trust the centralized stable coin to keep the money. Also, news around the USDT is not good, and it may be shut down by the authorities.

What is your opinion about the USDT coin?

I use the DAI to keep the stable value & will shift to the SAI in the near future where the money I'm not investing.

If stable coins are to be shutdown according to the rumors (which in my opinion is just mere rumors), even DAI is not a safe haven. USDT has been aiding me in my trade over time, when there is need to take profit or stay sidelined from the market. I prefer USDT because its got more trading pairs and high volume comparatively. For me, USDT is safe to use, till a contrary law is passed against its use (which is not forthcoming).
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the best time on: April 28, 2020, 08:08:18 PM
No where in the world is currently safe from Cov-19 and there is lockdown in every country today, this is the best time to gain people's trust, online job seeking have increased through Google search and new people are getting into crypto investment, what is the best time to release your project if it's not now?

Maybe you should look at this from another angle. If people are worried and have too many things to bother about this era of covid19, from losing loved ones to staying indoors worried, do you think they will want to invest anywhere or rather buy stuff to survive at home? This virus is affecting  all and sundry, including the crypto space. In my opinion, this is not the best time to launch a project unless it relates to combating the virus. For instance, a project offering free cloud storage for all medical firms fighting against Corona virus will strive.
