1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto is alive? Today he posted on p2p foundation. Your opinion? on: December 03, 2018, 10:36:20 AM
That account was definitely hacked to play on community sentiments. I want to believe most of the account the real satoshi used have been hacked. Whether or not BTC is going in the direction he intended for it to be, he'll remain anonymous still to further instill the core values of Bitcoin which is anonymity.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC on: November 27, 2018, 11:18:16 PM
KYC can be complicated and at times unnecessary especially for small airdrops.
What do you think?

Oh well, it's simple, I'll never do KYC for worthless airdrops. It's a complete waste of time and senseless way of dropping your IDs with people who you're not sure are legit
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What percentage of traders/investors make/lose money? on: November 27, 2018, 10:48:48 PM
It all depends on your strategy and the goal you've set with having those coins in your portfolio, add the duration of hodling them. If your investment is short or mostly speculative, you should not hodl that alt more than the period of the pump, there's every possibility of losing money. If your investment is long term, price drops wont really bother you as they're temporarily and you're looking at the long term
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ways of making money in crypto currency on: November 26, 2018, 01:24:32 PM
Not too many options left now and, not even in these times when everyone is trying to keep their hopes high and stay above water. I'll just encourage to join as much bounties as possible, especially the less crowded campaigns like translations, contents (video + articles), etc. Acquiring some trading skills won't be such a bad idea as you make money anytime, regardless of the state of the market
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: To-do list in a bear market on: November 26, 2018, 12:59:16 PM
'Do not panic' - when it comes to anything bear-related.
'It creates opportunities' - but first-time investors may become concerned when prices begin falling drastically

Any tips to offer people new to cryptocurrency?

Why do you always advice someone not to panic when the market is going down? They should cut their losses while they can.

I think the post was more focused on newbies. Panic is normal especially when investments are threatened both for a newbies and veterans. Of course, people can always cut their losses and move on rather lose all while waiting indefinitely for a market recovery
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I regret that i entered trading too late on: November 24, 2018, 04:26:40 PM
This is the same way some people think they entered the crypto space pretty late considering the fact that the space isn't as profitable as it was in 2017. But the fact remains that it's never too late to start anything in the crypto, notwithstanding the current state of things. The market as it is at the moment is only suitable for short term trades, this you should bear in mind as your trade. Good luck
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Panic on some hodler and sellers on: November 24, 2018, 04:07:44 PM
for me the only thing that dragging the crypto currency price are two things
the bad and fake news that are spreading by some people who has big interest on crypto
there is no denying that this is their doing and nothing else, who has the money and funds to do that?
im sure by now that its clear, second is the timing the the stock market also plummeting also
this is all over the news, everyone should understand that this is what really happening and panic will not only drag the price
down , but will also empty you pocket so keep calm

It's hard for people not to panic in times like this, it's even worse for those who are relatively new in this space. Some have not seen this amount of drain from the market and the attendant losses they came with it. A constant reminder like this for people to keep calm and be hopeful is in order.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happened to DASH on: November 23, 2018, 02:55:45 PM
Dash wasted many years of irreplaceable time and millions of dollars on Evolution, which is still vaporware with no MVP or even a roadmap.

Dash cultists believed spending money would guarantee results, ignoring scope creep and the bloated Corp Group Inc become a self-serving entrenched bureaucratic fiefdom insulated from the real world where price and results matter.

DashHoles loved their instamine more than they hated the irredeemable reputation for fraud that came along with it.

They thought crying "FUD" and "troll" would convince the market to ignore Dash's instamine, centralization, snake oil marketing, and laugh-out-loud bad crypto.  There were wrong.

At this rate, Dash may not even be in the Top 20 by the end of the year.

I don't think there is really something wrong with DASH, the general sentiment in the market is not that positive for the moment and all coins have dropped massively the last couple of months.

That's a very poor hand-waving excuse given Dash is dropping more "massively" than many other coins in its peer group.

When Dash was mooning along with the rest of the sector, we were told it was due to Dash's super-special unique unicorn properties (Treasury to fund Shrem Attacks, Masternode HYIP to launder money, PrivateSend to amuse GMAX with its broken version of Coinjoin, etc).

But now you want to appeal to generalities to avoid uncomfortable specifics?  Lol, get out of here with that self-serving cult recruitment propaganda.  This is not Dash.org or Reddit; we are smarter than that here. Cool

What's there to say again after reading this loaded piece?? The issues raised above which were still unresolved by the team, until the current market situation caught up with it has resulted in a major price decline, to the extent that DASH is priced below $100 now, currently priced at $99.53
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think the market needs to get back on track?! on: November 23, 2018, 02:48:58 PM
As all we can see the market isn't going anywhere but down. But there are a lot of projects and ICOs appearing everyday but not helping the market at all.
Any opinions on this topic?

Typical of how the market will respond to these projects is obvious already. Many of them will struggle to reach softcap and will get frustrated and leave the space. The reason they're not helping the space is because of intent. Many of them launch to defraud the crypto community, some have no real use case, some are copied ideas with a different name.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH: Deep crash before going to the moon? on: November 19, 2018, 01:18:58 PM
Just like most other coins in the space, expect further crashes in the price of ETH to the $120+ region, after from it might just moon hard to the $800. Fingers crossed. Some major news will hit ETH and cause it to moon, an example is the PoS.
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Panic! on: November 19, 2018, 01:06:42 PM
Swiss Bitcoin ETF has been approved and SEC ETF will be approved in December and there is BAKKT coming in December 5th, Bitcoin will Bull Run this year, this price drop was a chinese dump, nothing to scare, we are going to moon this year! BTC Core!

If there's one thing this piece of news didn't succeed in doing, it was affect the price of Bitcoin positively, rather we've seen a decline in price, forcing panic sell offs. Only a continued uptrend and stable price will lure more investments into this space. At the moment, the volatility is extremely high.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Till date, why is there no crypto that is near Bitcoin's worth? on: November 17, 2018, 10:18:44 PM
The worth of altcoins in comparison to that of BTC is more of that of trust than price. Bitcoin seems to be the most trusted crypto out there in the space and even those outside know BTC before any other coin. Also, it has the biggest community than any other alt
13  Economy / Marketplace / Re: If Newbie Offers Investment on: November 17, 2018, 09:49:22 PM
A newbie on BCT does not necessarily imply the person is a complete novice in the real world. Some professional could just create an account to question and seek more knowledge on here like we've seen here countless times. So, in my opinion, not every newbie account is a scam, yet caution is required. A newbie account that can prove it's genuine could be worth giving a shot at an investment
14  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: RAISEX ⭐⭐⭐ The Crypto Exchange ⭐⭐⭐ 10k Satoshi BTC available for FREE on Signup! on: November 16, 2018, 10:34:30 PM
Trying to promote a scam?
huh?
Why don't you people first do some research before coming up to promote scam her?
Have a look for your self  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5056211.0

I knew this was too good to be true. Checked out the thread you posted and it's obvious this is a scam and the OP has been recruited to promote it. I'm hoping the negative trust that account has received is as a result of this
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: November 16, 2018, 10:03:31 PM
A lot of speculations about Ripple in the past days. I have someone in a whatsapp group I belong who's been shilling the coin to high heavens and believes it will shoot to about $8 to $10 within the next 96 hours. Any shares this same speculations?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I Intend to solve Bounty Problems - Your suggestions on: November 16, 2018, 09:42:06 PM
How are you going to deal with manipulators in the market?

Which of the manipulators? Project owners or Bounty hunters?

How are you going to reduce the number of scams? If the usual ICO assessment, you can not try

- First, we will try and verify all team members via ID if possible.
- Scrutinize the project carefully and decide if such project will be successful
- Pre-allocation of Bounty funds to us.  The total amount of token or coins set aside for bounty must be paid to us first before the campaign will start, this is to protect Bounty hunter's interest.

For a project whose TGE happens midway into the bounty, how then will you be able to secure the tokens side for the bounty which in this case is still promissory? Does it mean you'll not accept to manage such projects?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy back every thing on: November 15, 2018, 09:18:33 AM
Naa, it's hard and this for me is usually a trap, no one knows how far this dip will go and there are still speculations that it can go down further. Be careful of falling into the trap of buying now thinking it's the bottom and then it dips even further. I'm definitely not buying yet
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BIGGEST DROP without a clear reason for it --> MARKET MANIPULATION on: November 15, 2018, 09:12:47 AM
Today's massive collapse is exacerbated by Binance technical problems no doubt. Orders are not going in, and trades are reflected in a delayed

fashion, they made a total mess of their "scheduled upgrade"; another amateurish execution by Binance...

This is an obvious market manipulation as there was no clear cut reason why the market should drop that steeply by 12%. Lost a lot of money yesterday and it's so depressing
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC and the hopes of a price surge on: November 14, 2018, 09:34:23 AM
We're definitely at the accumulation phase at the moment and with all the news filtering into the space, just like this one

We might as well be looking out for a bull run in 2019
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A new form of cheating teams ICO on: November 11, 2018, 06:34:56 PM
You're wrong. Because almost all projects indicate such an item. The team can change the rules at any time. What does this mean? That the law of law does not help here.

I'm sorry but KYC is such a sensitive item as it involves doling out personalized documents to unknown online entities whose real intentions with those documents can not known. While I agree that the bounty manager reserves the right to change the rules at any time, I'm still of the opinion that bounties should state it ab initio as a requirement for participation and claim of earnings.
