As soon as doge is the most profitable coin, it will be mined by ASIC farms and multipools and then dumped on the exchanges making it not profitable again. So I think it's about time for the DEV's to really think about capping the coin as it was introduced in the first place, maybe change the PoW algo, and hey, why not also implement PoS? Of course that would need a hard fork, but it's possible without problems.

Just got back home after 2 days away, stated my wallet, it updated and staked after 5 minutes.
For me everything seems to be working, still have no idea why people say that something is broken. If some one cares to explain it would be nice.
Hope all of this will be over very soon and we will continue the growth of this good coin.

personally i will likely only return if the player fee is raised like 10x like you suggested
make teams actually valuable, so that people don't want to just blow them up the second they can grinch a couple of coins
why not just set a hard cap on the number of teams per wallet again? it would at least slow down the people running bots.
or maybe even a hard cap on the number of teams that can be controlled from any one IP address?

Re: The general recycling problem. What if generals didn't drop coin when they die (when not carrying coins) the same way hunters don't? No more recycling problem. Maybe you could make it so that the hunters drop them instead.
good one.. keep the "ideas" coming we was discussing this and something similar.. i.e. your team each has 1/3 of the coins it cost to make.. but we decided against it. If Generals didn't drop any coins, where would they go (i.e. the cost of creating the team)? lost (speeding up deflation)? If they went to the miner, then miners could play for free.. they could just appear on the map somewhere I suppose - maybe even to the holder of the Crown  something to think about, but a change like this isn't going to happen with the upcoming patches. Also need to think about it a lot more.. every change with the mechanics opens a can of worms. also note, even though i said the reason is to reduce recycling, it's also to reduce people on map (together with increasing the cost). Should give more benefit to the miners Because only we can achievement the silver coin Hope that developers can understand this truth |

it comes to this... every miner has a vote for how many coins they want in the next reward all the votes (from every miner) are averaged out every 3600 blocks (5days), so if there are 2 miners, 1 miner chooses vote 1 and the other chooses 1024, then the reward would be 512 for 5days choose wisely. if you choose high (1024) the reward could be higher then now but price would drop because more coins would be available on other hand if you choose low (1) the reward could be lower and probably price would rice because less coins would be available... This is going to be fun Probably the first coin doing this kind of arrangement for block reward? Should be the first But I think that should not be the last |

not everyone has trading accounts bei mintpal AND cryptsy. but the whole selling at those prices is either just desperation or manipulation. i think it's just the reaction to the rising price of btc.

Mintcoin has a good future, just look at it long term. Now there are 20% coins generated on a yearly base, in three years this will be only 5%. What do you think that will do with the price Anyway, I will not sell untill we reached the 5% , then we will see... yes We should stick to it It is always a holdouts of the game |

for starters, first POS android client is on its way. This has been dragging on quite awhile now. You are the second person to attempt this. I'm confident your intentions are good and honorable and you have limitations on your time/resources to complete this task but.... Any way to bring in some help to see this completed sooner rather than later? It was mentioned by a number of people that having the wallet mint was secondary to just having a mobile wallet. If an android wallet didn't need the minting function, would it have been completed by now? Just curious. No. I haven't done anything specific to add minting function yet. All the changes so far was to make bitcoin android library work for a POS coin without comprimising its security. And now the changes are complete, the library is running in the wild, connected to random nodes on the network (helps finding bugs once in a while) As a side effect of required changes for POS security verifications, adding staking to the library became very easy -- it wasn't the initial target at all. Not sure if there's any task I can offload to anyone else at this time. mrqu1cky sent his branding changes for android app, so it made things much easier, a huge thanks. Actually it will probably work just fine now if I just bind the library and app together, and release them. But it'll require a full blockchain download that would last for a couple of hours, so I don't want to release it in this state, it'll scare the users and undermine all the development done so far. There are some changes I want to make on the android app so initial blockchain sync problem gets resolved before release, and one extra feature we have been talking with David Latapie. Then I think it'll be worth the wait Sounds very encouraging AND near completion. That's good news. And a big thanks for your efforts. I view a wallet much the same as a railroad or freeway. They allow for the easy movement of people. A mobile wallet allows for the easy movement of coin - without the necessity of being near a computer. Once you can easily share Mintcoin ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, , it gets into more hands, more quickly, MANY MORE. And this velocity becomes rapid (hopefully almost viral!) . With more people becoming part of the network it motivates more people to create more places for people to spend those coins. And the cycle continues... Anyways, enough of my rant, looking forward to having the wallet on my phone and tablet! yes What a good news We empathy  |

the hash rates are dropping like hot potatoes...
It was meant to be this way with the reduction in block rewards. FLT is basically a PoS/PoT coin now with the option for PoW mining. To be honest it's possible that a lot of people don't understand this and look at the hash rate and think the coin is dying, I was thinking it might have something to do with the sudden drop in price. A wise man once said "never underestimate the predictability of stupidity". Hope you are correct But now the question is how to save the miners?  |
