2  Economy / Invites & Accounts / WTB Battlefield 3 early access key/account on: September 27, 2011, 09:25:02 AM
Keys for the BF3 beta should be going out shortly are now being sent out. Will pay for one, or account access. Unsure how it works.

Will be using escrow due to the rather high chance of scamming in this genre.
3  Other / Off-topic / Re: nanaimogold's opinion on homosexuality on: September 13, 2011, 05:14:16 AM
Nanaimogold may not be the most polite poster when sharing his views, and it may not be good for his business (or maybe it is, what do you care?  Mind your own business).  But he does hold a position that is consistent with almost every non-declining society in history and almost every major world religion.  I realize that means nothing to you because you create your own morality and defer to no outside authority, but it at least means that within the scope of human history you are in the minority, so there is more onus on you to explain your innovative morality than on him to defend his.
What are these "non-declining societies" that feel that homosexuality is an abomination?

Also, are you saying that every society that declined was accepting of homosexuality?

That spreadsheet might be fake, who has real proof of this.
Download it. See that it has your username, email, and hashed password.

How could it possibly be fake?
5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China Has Divested 97 Percent of Its Holdings in U.S. Treasury Bills on: June 08, 2011, 06:02:57 AM
China still holds over 1.1 trillion of our treasury securities.

but if they decide to abandon the US dollar. Yep, we are screwed but so will they be too.  We are in bed together for better or worse. but China can dictate to us, we've lost our power. We are a debtor nation.
China owns 9.5% of our securities, this gives them dictatorship powers?
6  Economy / Goods / Re: Spend your bitcoins on amazon with no transaction fees on: May 26, 2011, 05:29:25 AM
Received my item promptly and satisfactorily, so I have made another order.
7  Economy / Goods / Re: Spend your bitcoins on amazon with no transaction fees on: May 20, 2011, 09:15:28 PM
Bought some slim jims through him, received receipt of order. Will report back next week or thereabouts with status of receiving them.
8  Other / Obsolete (buying) / [Buying] $300 Newegg gift card on: May 20, 2011, 12:20:42 AM
They can be bought using a credit card at:

My e-mail:

Email me then post here so I can check out your rep. I'll be using donation ClearCoin.
With the fast-moving market I am not sure of exact price I will pay, but say around 45BTC. Just tell me what you want when you email me.

What response have others gotten from justcause? I was told I was the winner because Vasiliev hadn't responded, but he seems to have posted since then. Were others told something similar?
I should have posted sooner, my apologies. I got distracted and forgot to post the warning.
The actual result is "justcause is a scammer."

This is two days after he would not send the code because I was using ClearCoin and he expressed skepticism that I would release the funds.

11  Economy / Marketplace / WTB Amazon US giftcard(s?) on: May 05, 2011, 01:51:25 AM

I want Amazon giftcards, I'll pay in Bitcoins, blah blah. Post in here before you email me so I can see that you do actually have a reputation for non-theft.
I'll be using ClearCoin.

Right now [...]
Also, please don't PM me because I never notice the tiny indicator.

Thanks @ demonofelru! I may bump this thread if I want to buy another, but I'm not currently looking to buy another.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gavin will visit the CIA on: May 04, 2011, 08:39:55 AM
Does anybody really think the CIA has any problem with fund transfers?  Don't you think they already have plenty of methods of doing that and that it's extremely unlikely that Bitcoin (with all due respect) has come up with something novel that surprises them and gives them some new capability that they simply don't have already?  Sounds farfetched to me.
Just because you have one or six methods of transferring money doesn't mean you can't use another. Especially a new one, that is decentralized, which means other groups cannot control it and most other govs won't be watching it.
13  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Selling $50 amazon gift card on: May 04, 2011, 12:41:27 AM
Careful, that's actually worth more than $50 at last Mt.Gox trading prices.

These kinds of trades need to be done real-time in #bitcoin-otc.  Slow forum post trades are asking for trouble when $/BTC has been so volatile.
It's only worth slightly more than $50, which I don't mind.

Something important to note here: Handbrake is pretty terrible.

If you want to properly encode with Handbrake, then... actually you can't. Tongue
If you want to encode as best you can with Handbrake, get a nightly build. Handbrake includes x264 as a library, not an executable, so you need the latest dev build to get the latest x264. And the latest x264 is always better; even the 3-4 month old build in Handbrake 0.9.5 is missing a bunch of bug fixes and some minor speed enhancements.
The 1.5 year old build in 0.9.4 is missing a lot of very important features.

+1 to hippich. Bought some WMZ from him, very easy.
17  Economy / Marketplace / Where can I buy WMZ with Bitcoins? on: April 03, 2011, 04:29:55 PM
I saw BTCex, but only 0.21 was being sold there and I bought it all. Are there any other BTC->WMZ exchanges? Or anybody selling WMZ?
18  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Selling $25 American Express Gift Card - 22 BTC on: March 23, 2011, 03:37:19 AM
It has the ability to be registered to a name/address still?
19  Economy / Marketplace / Anybody have any cans of 7.62x54R? on: March 15, 2011, 03:31:39 PM
I've got a Mosin coming to my FFL, so now I need to buy ammo for it.
So, does anybody have any Russian, Romanian, or Bulgarian surplus 7.62x54R ammo? (That list chosen because they are the cheapest on Gun-deals)
Right now I'm only looking for one can, which is 440 rounds.

I'm located in California, and would like to have it shipped to me.

AFAIK, this is legal. Please inform me if it isn't.
