1  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Digital Collectibles on: August 31, 2019, 10:44:13 PM
I was wondering when this would come up.

Personally I'm a fan of the older, "original" NFTs. Basically anything with a birthday in 2017, as collectibles usually gain value with age.

Examples:

- Cryptopunks: June 2017. Arguably one of the first NFTs (ERC-20);
- Cryptokitties: Nov 2017. Founder cats are especially rare and collectible (the first 100 cats). CKs were the first ERC-721s.
- Decentraland: Dec 2017.

I also own:

- Autoglyphs: Although they were created in 2019, they are the first NFT with "on-chain" art, though the definition is subjective and up for debate.
- Crypto-stamps: well-known to these forums, already.
- Cryptovoxels: May 2018. Similar in concept to Decentraland (decentralized land ownership in NFT form).

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: CANCELLED [Auction] Complete set of OCS (On-Chain-Store) Crypto Stamps on: July 08, 2019, 09:59:52 PM
Decided to cancel the auction and just HODL these as part of my overall NFT collection.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [Auction] Complete set of OCS (On-Chain-Store) Crypto Stamps on: July 08, 2019, 02:04:31 PM
I have listed my complete set (red, yellow, blue, green, black) of Crypto Stamps that were bought from the Austrian Post Office "On Chain Store" (OCS).

Only 500 of these stamps exist, and only three red stamps were ever sold from the OCS, which makes this set particularly rare. The stamps remain in "Sold" status, which means the buyer can submit their shipping info after purchase and receive delivery directly from the Austrian Post Office.

The listing is on Opensea, in dutch auction format, here: https://opensea.io/bundles/complete-set-of-ocs-stamps-unshipped

Price starts at 50 ETH and will drop to 15 ETH over the next week.

Thanks and good luck!

Wow, nice auction. Good luck.

Tbh, your starting price is below what I expect them to be worth in the long term. Unfortunatelly I don't have the ETH to snag these stamps right now.

Yeah I think I've got them priced for a quick sale. I guess we'll find out.

Ok. From my 20 stamps shipment i got

2 REDS (ONE even has my name initials!)
3 YELLOW
2 BLUE
6 GREEN
7 BLACK

From the 5 stamps batch I got
1 RED
2 Blacks
1 Green
1 Blue

First Day covers from post office arrived today

1 Green
4 Black.

So i am very lucky from 25 stamps received i have made 3 COMPLETE SETS !

I am not selling..so please dont bother asking.

  As per Kryptowerks calculation..

Chance for exactly 3 red stamps in a sample of 25 is .00184 or 0.184%. Meaning it happens less in 1 out of 500 times.
Similar chances for 3 *or more* red stamps in a sample of 25: 0.195%

You got insanely lucky. Cheesy

WHAT THE F!! Congrats man.

The colours of OCS stamps are randomly picked, so I've been told

They were actually pre-determined by the contract. That's how someone was able to "game the system" and buy all three red OCS stamps.

And now you are a proud owner of one of three? Congratulations!  Wink

Yeah I got lucky that the buyer was willing to give one up!

Where did you get the info that this stamp will have a different appearance? Not what I heard, but then again, some of the info from the Austrian post offices were totally wrong, so maybe same here.

Read into it what you will, but this is from Andreas Petersson, who was part of the Cryptostamps project:

Rough translation: "the OCS stamps are much rarer than the red ones and should be part of a complete collection." You're right, he's not saying that they will have a different appearance. I guess we'll see.

Do you own all three? - I heard they were all bought by one person, lol.

Only one. I managed to snag it from opensea.

If you want to know the value, put it in auction and roll the advertisement roll for it so interested people will bid. Good luck.  Smiley
My personal guess for value would be in the 1.5 - 4 BTC range. Possibly more. Have fun. Wink

Thanks!! That'd be pretty sweet. I will sit on it until we at least can confirm the details of how the OCS stamps differ from the others, if at all.

Any estimates as to the value of a red OCS stamp, since there are only three that exist? I heard that the OCS stamps will have a different physical appearance from the other 149,500 crypto stamps. A "1 of 3" stamp from the Austrian Post Office should be super valuable, no?
10  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO]-Crypto Stamps- Collectable Blockchain postage stamps on: June 28, 2019, 09:24:30 PM
I now have a complete collection of OCS stamps (On Chain Store), of which there are only 500. None of these have been shipped and can still be claimed online and shipped to any address. There are only 3 red OCS stamps, so this will be a rare collection.

Not actually looking to sell, although every man has his price.

Is that...

Is that 200 ETH?  $61K?

I'm missing the red from my digital set.

Yeah I just set an insanely high price because I don't actually want to sell. Just using the bundle feature to keep track of things.

As an investor in ZIP.A back in the day (ZipConf was also a victim of Alberto's wrong-doings), I look forward to seeing justice in this case. Nothing to do with money.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin cash become the true bitcoin ? on: August 20, 2017, 02:41:44 AM
No man there is no way that bitcoin cash can be the new bitcoin. The real btc has been around since 2009, and bitcoin cash is the result of a fork of that coin, so that tells you everything you must know about it.
Bitcoin cash is just an useless coin, there is no way it can be #1 crypto.
Just think about it, the same happened with ethereum and ethereum classic. At the first, etc was hyped and then it came back to $14, and it is standing on that price for more than two months.

If you're comparing ETH/ETC to BTC/BCH, then you should be saying that BTC is ETC and BCH is ETH. Ethereum "Classic" is the original blockchain. ETH is what forked off from it.

BTC is the original blockchain. BCH is what forked off from it.

Not the best timing, but I have BTC/USD short open from $4041. Target is low $3000's.

Where have you placed the stop loss?

I adjust it based on market movement. Since we've made $3880, SL is now at $4201.

If price goes above $4100 again, based on market movement I suggest you adjust it at low $5000's.

I covered at $3840. Re-shorting this pop here. I don't hold my trades very long.

I was just going through my post history and saw this gem:

I will not follow through on that promise, sorry!  Grin

Been around since the June 2011 bubble. Heavily invested in October 2011 at the $2.65 mark. Lost almost all of my coins to various scams / GLBSE shitty investments (think ICOs 1.0) during the 2012 doldrums, and poor trading. Sold almost all of the remainder of my coins in 2015 near the end of the dip from the 2013 highs.

I am now successfully trading (finally!) on multiple exchanges and continue to have significant interest in the goings on in crypto.

For shits and giggles, I still have a link to the largest transaction I ever sent (in Bitcoin terms). I think it was about $30k USD at that time.

Good luck to everyone!

Hey folks. Still here after 5 1/2 years. I cashed out most of my coins at $300 but still hold a small position. Exciting to finally see the 2013 high threatened.

After trading through the previous bubbles ($32, $266, $1100 or whatever it was) I think this time we make it to $2150 before the big pop, and settle in the low $1000s.

Good luck to everyone and congrats to longs.
