1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MyBitcoin.com - hosting provider: leaseweb.com on: July 31, 2011, 01:59:01 PM
"The Founder" No offence but we don't need you advertising your shit up on this thread, Alot of people may have lost there coins, including myself which I had a large amount on there. So yeah im pretty pissed off at the moment, I am 100% sure the "mybitcoin" owner/owners are reading this thread, and I have a feeling the more fuss we make about mybitcoin stealing our coins the more likely he will do a runner with our coins, I know if its not back up by the end of next week I will be looking at legal advice to retrieve my coins back, Saying that it could be unforeseen problems on his side and hopefully brings the once trusted site back

Totally agree with you mate, poor form by "The Founder", also agree about all the fuss being made, like many of us reading or following this thread (and other threads) we have bitcoins at stake here, so if there is a genuine reason why mybitcoins is down atm and all this negativity is read by the owner of mybitcoins (probably unlikely) it could just very well give him an incentive to run off with our bitcoins ..  Angry
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / mybitcoin.com down ? on: July 31, 2011, 04:24:52 AM

Yeah my stale rate has jumped up a bit Sad

Yeah, sorry, it's being looked into, meanwhile I suggest you use cgminer, it detects new blocks even before longpolls Smiley

And just so everyone can see again. You are being paid for invalid shares aswell until we get this sorted.

Guess that little dropout there was to fix the issue ? .. stales seem to be back where they were ..

Yeah sorry, I fixed the issue but it wouldn't take till restart. Everything should be working now Smiley

Seem to be creeping up again ...

Thanks... the design leaves something to be desired but the coding is top notch (I promise!). We aim to provide a really solid service. Please let us know what features you would most like to see added (we already have a bunch planned) and give us a shot!

It doesn't need to be all fancy mate, looks good, just added 6 GPU's for now and will see how it goes, stale rate looks really good, where is the payout button though ??
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PAYPAL SCAM ALERT, scammer is John Binns and paypal. on: July 03, 2011, 11:24:04 PM
I would like add that the buyers "the-mullet09" and "jabgasm" both had their emails end in "@tiscali.co.uk" and both replied exactly the same when I (btcmania) sent the first payment of 0.01 btc "I acknowledge receipt of bitcoin +0.01" I showed my wife and said this looks a little strange .. 1 day later both users open an unauthorized claim with Paypoop .. They (Paypal) sent me a nice little reminder "We determined that you did not meet the eligibility requirements for the PayPal Seller Protection Policy, and you are therefore being charged for this reversed transaction. We've returned the funds to the PayPal account holder, and your account will be debited for the amount of this transaction." Pricks ..

Also, does anyone know how I can stop PayPal taking the charge back from my debit card? I withdrew money from the account before the charge back claim was made and subsequently I have a "negative" balance. I expect PayPal to find a way of taking that money from my bank but would obviously prefer that not to happen.

Yep they will just take it from your bank, have had it happen to me in the past, they will send a little note to the scammer "we were successful in retrieving the funds from that sucker you stole bitcoins off" ..

Could I please be put on the whitelist?  I would like to post in the thread below as I have been scammed by the 2 ebay users being mentioned.

I am a member on many forums and I find it strange they have this "newbie" attitude here ..

I am using Phoenix with the flags -k phatk VECTORS BFI_INT WORKSIZE=256 AGGRESSION=12 FASTLOOPS=false -a 7, seems to work best for me, gets me 450Mh/s out of a 5870.
