6  Economy / Currency exchange / Buying 50 BTC, $13 per coin on: August 09, 2011, 11:33:51 PM
8/9/2011 and later

Buying 50 coins $13 each.

I will pay via Dwolla or PayPal only. If PayPal I can pay as "payment owed" so that 1) I can't scam you and 2) you are not subject to any fees.

Terms:
You are required to use the Bitcoin escrow service www.mybitsafe.com
Why?
So that we can protect both of us from getting scammed.
I have used the service in the past and am a happy customer.

If you are interested either PM me or post in this thread and we can get a transaction started.
7  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Paying TOP DOLLAR for BTC--$18 per BTC, WTB 20 BTC (PayPal, Dwolla, money order) on: July 08, 2011, 10:00:42 PM
I'm not trying to scam anyone. Please keep the thread on topic guys. If you're interested please PM me or post in this thread, if not please kindly move along.

I'm reducing the price to $16 per BTC. The price has gone down pretty significantly since I've first started the thread in the Newbies section. If you PMd me BEFORE 7/8/2011, I will still sell at $18/BTC to keep my promise. If you PMd me after or on 7/8/2011 it will be $16/BTC.

I had deposited $400 into my MtGox account to buy some coins and then someone hacked into my account and transferred the money into his Dwolla account. So now I am only going to do P2P.
9  Economy / Currency exchange / Paying TOP DOLLAR for BTC--$18 per BTC, WTB 20 BTC (PayPal, Dwolla, money order) on: July 07, 2011, 05:24:11 PM
I want to buy 20 BTC and I need the money fast, and as such I will pay TOP DOLLAR for it at $18 apiece.

I will pay by PayPal (preferrably not), Dwolla, or USPS money order
EDIT: I will also do Western Union wire and MoneyPak (this will be my first time using either of these services)

Also note that I will not go first!

I underwent trust issues with my first transaction and ended up being scammed $400. That is why. If you are not willing to go first do not contact me.

If you don't have 20 BTC (i.e. if you only have 15) that is ok, I can just get 5 BTC separately from someone else, but I am requiring the minimum sale to be 10 BTC (so that way I don't have to do 10 transactions each 2 BTC)

PM me if you are interested!

Feedback:
I've only done one transaction before but it was a successful transaction for 16.78 BTC

Sale closed--I've decided to buy from Tradehill.

I just read a thread about MtGox security issues; would prefer to stay away from that. The most secure transaction is person-to-person.

I'd also like to add that I'm using it for a new bitcoin business. The incentive I'm using for people to participate is a bitcoin jackpot. Hopefully it all works out Smiley
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If your Mt. Gox account has been compromised, PLEASE READ. on: June 17, 2011, 03:58:23 AM
Noob here with a noob question. I bought 9 BTC on Mt Gox just as I was picking up on Gox' security problems. I moved the BTC to my wallet. The status is "unconfirmed" and I went back to Mt Gox and changed my password there. Am I safe?

1. The BTC are *mine,* right, even if the transfer is not yet confirmed?
2. Once they are confirmed in my wallet, no one can get at them, right? (unless my computer is hacked in a more general way...I mean, the wallet is secure, right?)

thanks for your help

Yes you are safe.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Need to buy 20 BTC fast. Will pay $20 per BTC on: June 17, 2011, 03:57:49 AM
Hey guys I need 20 BTC very quickly, and as such I am willing to pay $20 per BTC (right now on MtGox it is about $17 per BTC). I will accept PayPal or Dwolla.

I would estimate that in about one week (or maybe two weeks, not sure at this point) I'll be starting to buy a lot more BTC, at which point I will probably buy at the current MtGox rate.

But for now I need 20 (or anywhere between 15-20). Please PM me if you are interested.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dwolla? on: June 15, 2011, 12:53:55 AM
Enjoy waiting 6 days while the price rises.

When you start a sale, it is sold at the price at that time, 6 days it the Dwolla processing time.

Even if I used your service, sure I can get the money instantly, but the price would still rise over 6 days. It doesn't make a difference which one I use, so I'd rather go with a well established service like Dwolla as opposed to some random small service ran by some guy in a basement.

How can they not be able to track where it's shipping from? Just look at the return address hurp durp
>implying they would use their actual address

What else would they use? An address of some random guy's house?
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dwolla? on: June 15, 2011, 12:41:34 AM
We're actually in development of a new site that will make transfers into BTC instant, you can read more about it here.
http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=16472.0

Uhhhhhh.

No thanks, I'd rather wait 6 days with Dwolla.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dwolla? on: June 14, 2011, 09:29:49 PM
Dwolla seems to be a good service but they are really REALLY slow.

I deposited money on the 7th and it did not arrive until the 13th.  Plus it takes days to verify an account, and they don't work on weekends, which is kind of outrageous.

That's only 6 days, what's the big dealo?

You know it would be cool if Dwolla had the option of rush processing to get your transfer done faster but for a higher fee (maybe $1 instead of $0.25) that would be neat.
