• Man Utd and Inter still can't reach an agreement for Alexis Sanchez. The Red Devils do not want to pay more than 50% of his wages during the loan. (source)
The fall of Alexis Sanchez is a perfect example of how Greed and Ego can bring you down. With the amount of salary he's earning at United with almost no input from him at all i bet no club wants to have him right now and think of paying that kind of salary to him again.
Should have remained at Arsenal back then.
Or should have moved to city,  I'm still surprised how Alexis chose united over city at that particular time, we were playing good football and were favorites to win the league at that particular time which we eventually did.

Alexis would keep kicking himself for not capitalizing on that opportunity to play for us, win the amount of trophies we have since then and be coached by the best(pep).
I think Sanchez' career is over, he can never attain the height he envisaged and it's due to his greed.
5762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Who is to be blame? BM or BH on: August 23, 2019, 02:11:42 PM
Are you talking about bounty managers of some ICO token or the other, if you are, then I fully understand. Because all the BTC campaign managers I've come across do a good job and are true to their words.

Both ICO bounty managers and hunters(in most circumstances)are to blame, the managers make rules and reserve the rights to change them anytime, and that's wrong, there should be a fixed amount to be paid to hunters that should be unalterable.
Because they could see the direction(not so good)the project is heading and reduce the amount of tokens they ought to distribute, forgetting the hunters kept their own part of the deal by completing their posts.

Also the managers should take their time to select good posters for their project to promote it in the right way.
Also the hunters should abstain from spamming low quality post, just to make sure they meet maximum payout.
If everyone would do their job fine, then there would be no issues at all, and the forum would also benefit with less level of spam.
5763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors are impatient and too quick to judge projects on: August 23, 2019, 01:54:38 PM
most investors becomes impatient and quick to judge projects because they are lazy to read and understand and just go by hype to make investments. As an investor, you have to know whether what you are investing in is a long or short term investment plan by reading the projects whitepaper in combination with its roadmap and support accordingly without without feeling impatient and judging the project.
Reading the projects whitepaper in this case would do little to help, as an investor what triggers that impatience is your money that you put in the project. So many coins don't last 24hrs before they begin to fall below their ICO price, though it's not a signal that the coin is going to fail but it's chances of success are not any big as well.

I wouldn't blame investors, watching your money fall with a coin is not easy in any way, if I did invest in altcoins and ICO's which I don't, I'll feel the same way, but I'll also exercise good amount of patience knowing fully well that success takes time.
5764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 23, 2019, 11:13:57 AM
Aston Villa vs Everton tonight, I’m not going to bet on this as it’s such a tough one to predict. What do you guys think?

If I was pushed for a prediction I’d go for Villa to win very narrowly. They’ve lost 2 out 2...
This most times helps to motivate teams going into games on the back of two or three losses, knowing fully well that another loss for them would raise question marks about their determination to stay and compete in the premier league.

There is no way Aston Villa would lose today, it's a "must not lose" for them.
I also doubt they'll lose three games in a row, except of course they were coming up against one of the very big teams in the league.
I think I'll be placing a bet on this one for a draw, most probably a 2-2 draw, I'll be watching out for this one eagerly.
5765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank account froze after selling btc (UK) on: August 23, 2019, 10:52:57 AM
In my country cases such as this happens frequently, and it's not only common to cryptocurrency transactions, when an account is suddenly credited with a large amount of money, the financial commission usually begins to investigate on such funds and most times while investigations are ongoing the accounts are usually frozen.

So probably the amount of bitcoin you converted to your currency is one that raised suspicion in the banks and the regulatory body for financial control.
So you'll need to clear yourself, as long as cryptocurrency is a legal business in your country(which I think it is), so i believe in no time your account would be unfrozen.
5766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 23, 2019, 07:38:43 AM
they have to fight this season to be able to play in the champions league.
Fiorentina is no longer a top team in the Italian seria A, and that has been their status for so many seasons now. And I do not think they have bettered their chances of bouncing back by signing frank Ribery.

Frank is no longer a top player, and he's no longer young, he has given his all to Bayern and if you ask me, his arrival at Fiorentina is just to ease off and finish up his career, but that's not the kind of stuff Fiorentina needs to return them back to the top flight.
We'll see if Ribery brings a good amount of experience to the squad that will be beneficial and improve the squad, but it'll take some seasons for this to happen.
5767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 23, 2019, 07:12:06 AM
Getting James+Bale into a squad will be quite a though task (not to speak about their salaries...) so I feel that this deal, even though it sounds kind of interesting, isn´t interesting to PSG at all.
I can understand why PSG are disinterested in this deal, James and bale aren't the most in form players in the world at the moment, and with the amount they'll cost Psg, most especially on salary basis, it doesn't look too attractive for them.

I think Madrid already know that this players may not have any more to offer them, and they are looking for a way to ship them out for a single better player in Neymar.
Madrid should either come out with just cash only or give them more players that would attract PSG's interest.
5768  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you believe stolen funds should be returned to their owner? on: August 23, 2019, 06:13:41 AM
If you're making an open request for scammers of thieves to return funds they stole, then that is never going to happen, why did they steal the funds in the first place if they are simply going to return it, it's almost impossible to appeal to the conscience of criminals.

But in case of recovered funds which happens less frequently in this cryptocurrency environment, then the funds ought to be returned to the original owners, but when you take another look at it, how many stolen funds have been recovered, it's near zero, the technology makes it difficult for us to track down criminals.
5769  Other / Meta / Re: I dont understand what Posts are allowed in the Off-Topic Forum what is allowed? on: August 23, 2019, 05:37:12 AM
Do you make a typo? I only heard about accounts nuked, but have not heard about posts nuked. So is it real?
Nope it's not a typo, to nuke can mean to erase completely, so to say a users post was nuked is actually correct, just that we're used to(on the forum)saying nuke for accounts and deleted for posts, the both words can even be interchanged and still be correct both syntactically and semantically.

OP: no need writing an "essay" to complain about your posts that got chalked off by a mod, just take it like a challenge to you to make better posts in the future that would not be qualified to be called off-topic post or replies.
5770  Economy / Economics / Re: stupidity is so close to poverty on: August 22, 2019, 08:33:17 PM
perhaps more precisely the lack of knowledge is very close to poverty. indeed, most of the poor are very low in economy, but there are also some rich people who are stupid because they do not have extensive knowledge
In this 21st century, lack of modern knowledge such as computer literacy, digital competence, technical skills etc is bad for an individual.
The whole world is evolving into a digitalized shpere and it becomes very important for all to acquire that needed knowledge to be able to thrive in our world today.

The poor people today are mostly those who lack the basic knowledge that is needed to increase ones chances of succeeding in this modern/competitive and digital world of ours
5771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Humans Gamble since 3000BC, and Governments still try to ban on: August 22, 2019, 04:40:47 PM
Making gambling illegal only worsens the case in those countries if you ask me, whether there is a ban on it or not, people would still gamble, whether it's covertly or overtly.
So rather than placing a total ban on what most people consider as a means of earning an income, what's much better to be done is to establish regulations and restrictions to betting companies, that way any violation of such laws would attract X punishment.

Gambling is no crime and should never be stopped, the government can try to advice people through various means to gamble wisely and warn them they are at a personal risk should they not.
5772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 22, 2019, 02:44:30 PM
There are still 35 matches left. Should we judge Lampar based on his first three matches?

I'm honestly still surprised to see that sacking and replacing a coach is a solution for a struggling team.
That's the modern game for you. Coaches are put under unnecessary pressure by club owners to perform, after five or so matches, performances are analysed, changes are made. We've seen this numerous times in recent years, coaches lasting just 5-10 games in a particular team(job).

So many coaches have bemoaned the immense pressure they are put under to perform, not even minding if the team is in transition or not, just as Chelsea is.
If you ask me I think coaches should be given longer time in a particular job, to try and build a team that'll will have coherence and unity.
5773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 22, 2019, 02:33:17 PM
I believe Mandzukic is smart enough to know his line of play does not fit in with Barca strategy or else we'll see a replication of Barcelona been a bed of career-ending as some people you to say.
The player is still young though.
Did you say young? Mario mandzukic is 33 years old, that's in no way young if you ask me, he is way past his peak/prime.
Mandzukic to Barcelona would be an unwise move for the player as he'll see limited playing time, and I know he'll be briefed about that should the deal be on the verge of pulling through.

Mandzukic is definitely coming to be a backup and he better think twice if that's what he needs at this stage of his career, he'll eventually become surplus to requirement at some point and be moved on, just as Barca did you Boateng last season, a club with a lesser pedegree would fit Mario more.
5774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: August 22, 2019, 07:19:35 AM
^
Yeah right! Bale looks incredible again, going by the last game against Celta Vigo, He could play pivotal role for Real Madrid if they're to succeed this season.
I hope Barcelona can get themselves together before the first El Çlassico.
If indeed Zidane is to give Gareth Bale a chance this season, which I doubt he will, he will have to keep replicating the form he showed against Celta. Even if Zidanes first stint as reals coach, there were matches bale showed purpose, one being in the UCL final against Liverpool, but all this didn't succeed in winning him over in the heart of the manager, let's see how it goes this time around.

Barca would definitely bounce back from their loss, I think the battle for the Spanish title this season would be one to the most intriguing, with Barca, madrid and athletico all gunning for the trophy.
5775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 22, 2019, 06:19:20 AM
Chelsea, one draw against Leicester City and lost against Man Utd, not looking good. They had good chance against Leicester in their home ground but they could not capitalize it. Against Norwich their record is not much impressive and on top of it, they are playing an away match here. So, I am expecting another draw in this match.
Possibly a 1 - 1.
Chelsea have been playing good football in all their games this season, but the win just hasn't come for them, which puts the team and most especially the manager under pressure.
Norwich is a very decent team, they played very well against Liverpool on the opening day, but lost. Last weekend they came out on top in their game and this sets up their match against Chelsea pretty well.

It's not going to be an easy game at all for Chelsea, as they are going to be under pressure in this game(a must win for them), though I feel Chelsea will come out victorious, 3-1 in favor of Chelsea is my prediction.
5776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 22, 2019, 06:11:12 AM
which makes me wonder whether they intend to sell Neymar or not?

This is the big question for neymar transfers.
Many clubs already want to get neymar on a transfer this summer, but PSG always reject the offer. So, I did think about it "is PSG serious about neymar transfers?" The basic reason PSG refused is usually related to the low prices offered by other clubs for neymar.
I think Psg are guilty in the delay of this transfer, I wouldn't relate it to low prices at all, crazy offers have been put for Neymar already, even those involving two to three players as part of the deal, which I see no reason why the owners of Psg should reject such offers.

If Neymar doesn't eventually leave PSG, it'll be the fault of the PSG board, and Neymar would be a dejected figure in the dressing room, which would hamper his career progress. Even if he doesn't leave now, he must during the January transfer window.
5777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: August 21, 2019, 10:05:00 PM
That's what happens when you sell off the major pillars of the team. This is Monaco 2.0 happening allover again. i don't expect them to go so far up in the Champion league even if they qualify.
You can't really blame this teams for not hanging onto their players, when teams of lower status have a good season, it showcases the amount of good players they have in their team, and this attracts the big boys to come for them, with the players eager to leave, the team has no choice but to cash in on them and make good money for themselves.

This leaves such teams depleted for the coming season, if they do not make wise signings, but I think this teams have to find a way to hold onto their players, and see if the form shown, can be replicated.
5778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guys started to gambling with cryptos or fiat money? on: August 21, 2019, 09:46:26 PM
I think those who began betting early must have experienced betting with fiat currencies. I began betting with my local currency as i went to betting houses, played virtual games(soccer, horse race etc). I most times came out on top, but I tend to always lose the money the same way it came Grin

But since I got into the cryptocurrency "business" i can't remember when last i placed a bet using fiat, it's more convenient for me using cryptocurrencies, mostly i use BTC, though i take some sticks for risking my btc most of the time Sad
5779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin entering colleges and universities| DISCUSSION | on: August 21, 2019, 09:49:00 AM
In our colleges and universities today, courses like entrepreneurship, skill acquisition are taken and learnt in the classroom, thus i see no reason why blockchain and bitcoin(cryptocurrencies)lessons should not be incorporated, it's is infact a great method of giving students the needed knowledge that could grant them the financial freedom they need upon graduation.

I will write a personal message to my vice chancellor this week on the need why bitcoin(cryptocurrencies)and blockchain should be added to our curriculum, I'll keep you guys updated on It's progress.
5780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitterarians can you weigh in. Does @Bitcoin support Bitcoin again? on: August 21, 2019, 07:49:13 AM
I think this strange spontaneous change of support just goes to show that all the supporters of BCH actually know the truth, but they just decide to live in denial.
@Bitcoin probably fell out with Roger ver and most probably lost his "pay check", so I guess he sees no reason why he should continue to lie to himself with no gain/benefit anymore.

BCH is simply trying it's best to stay relevant, but it'll slowly fade out, it's not the bitcoin, and even deep down in Roger's mind he knows the truth, but just has to play dumb.
