Luckily I have been able to play with the new A721 for a few days.
I do not have much time right now. Therefore only a quick overview.

first impressions:
- Very good build quality, as we are used from the A6.
- works stable with 6 Th/s
- same webinterface as the A6

I measured the power consumption with slightly <1000W.
But this will may change with the next/final firmware. They working hard on it
I have measured with an Enermax Platimax EPM1000EWT as PSU and an intermediate plug, not with a fluke.
So it is only a good approximation  ;-)


Yes, the efficiency is currently not as good as that of Bitmain.
But since the 16nm hardware lifetime will be longer, I rate the build quality and customer service as more important.
And hope for a firmware update.

There are much more complaints about the S9 than previous devices, although they were sold significantly more often. S9 quality seems not very good. But that is OT here

Auf den Artikelseiten im neuen Shop gibt es keine Angaben mehr zur Leistungsaufnahme und Effizienz.

Klar sind die S9 effizienter, aber die 50% sehe ich nur auf dem Papier

Die S9 sind sicherlich nicht sehr zuverlässig, muss man sich nur im englischen Teil umsehen.
Bei den S5 und S7 gab es deutlich weniger Beschwerden.
Aber kannst gerne meine 4 S9 B1 kaufen, ich tausche gegen A7.

Vor allem jetzt mit 16nm, wenn die Geräte eine deutlich längere angenommene Nutzungsdauer haben
ist Langlebigkeit und Qualität wichtig, da dreht sich dann ganz schnell auch das P/L Verhältnis

bitmain macht doch schon seit geraumer Zeit keine Angaben mehr ;-)
Und die S9 B1 haben nicht gehalten, was versprochen wurde.
Abgesehen davon sind die S9 absolut unzuverlässig.
Lieber minimal schlechtere Effizienz, ~0.13 vs 0.15 und dafür haltbar

So you can cool them with warm/hot air, but of course need more airflow.
