till yet i have used the 2.1.3.0 wallet version on LinuxMint 64bit Kernel 4.8.0-49-generic without any probs
updated yesterday to Pivx 2.2.0 wallet + sync from Scratch but now i always get the same error when starting pivx 2.2:
pivx-qt: main.cpp:2300: bool ConnectBlock(const CBlock&, CValidationState&, CBlockIndex*, CCoinsViewCache&, bool): Assertion `hashPrevBlock == view.GetBestBlock()' failed.
Aborted
any advice what I can do? sync from Scratch did complete well...
edit: to be more clear, i've downloaded the correct linux version x86_64
no problem on ubunt 16.04 here with version 2.2.0. i would go to slack and ask for help there. i guess it has to do with mint? nope i don't think it has to do with Mint - maybe it relies to the new 4.8 Kernel Version 49 which i just upgraded... trying 4.8 46 now instead and will post progress restarted with Kernel 4.8 Version 46 but the same error pivx-qt: main.cpp:2300: bool ConnectBlock(const CBlock&, CValidationState&, CBlockIndex*, CCoinsViewCache&, bool): Assertion `hashPrevBlock == view.GetBestBlock()' failed. Aborted i don't want to open a slack account, i'll gonna post it via an github issue.. The 2.2.0 qt has a memory leak problem. Presstab thinks he knows the prob. If you build from master source it may have been fixed as alot of new commits are on there. The Daemon works fine no probs. You have to delete all block data and resync from scratch. |

I have heard PIVX more anonymous then DASH, is this true?
Not yet. It is currently using the same method as DASH. But not for long as we are getting libzerocoin implemented. If this coin is going to be more anonymous than DASH could it be as big or even bigger than DASH ? Are there any reasons why it couldn't ? put it that way. Anything so possible. Got a good team behind it. Marketing has not even started. Just the odd tweet here and there so far. |

questions to PIVX Admins or anyone? I just downloaded PIVX wallet for windows 7 64bit. Open it, it says out of sync, and it also says 1 year 5 weeks behind. How long does it take to sync? my wireless speed is somewhere 18.5 Mbps. is there a tutorial video on how to use the wallet? also is there a slack available?

What would be the benefit of joining your pool instead of continue mining with nexusminingpool.com? Like always share the hash about on pools. You would receive bigger payments but won't be as often as you are on that one as you are receiving more smaller ones. As everything it is luck. We could get loads all in a row so could earn more. On other hand we could get none just like any other pool. |

How do I get hold of a darknet 2.3.1 wallet to run the masternode?
The latest version of the pivx wallet keeps dropping the connections.
Mine crash with the new wallet as well but that's qt. I use 2.1.3.0 no problems at all. |

Issue with Atlassian. Basically Confluence page was being held hostage to pay fee even though non-profit, open source project. Atlassian like to claim they provide their service to open source projects, but the hoops you need to jump through are nuts. discover=0 :? created the hidden services, added 1 to rpcport and removed 1 port on each pivx.conf and the 2 were successfully enabled... but crashed. I am not sure but both were communicating with others nodes on ipv4 et 6 just using different ports... could it causes the crashes? I found 2.1.4.0 qt wallet crashes. Go back to 2.1.3.0. the issue is getting ignored after a number of times saying your setting up wrong and it is your setup but my staking one does it as well. It doesn't matter about connections in. This is because of port forwarding. I only have connections out to. Won't make a difference. |

None of the mac wallets are syncing  I downloaded the electrum-stratis wallet and it just says offline, sent 100 stratis before waiting . Its been an hour with no connections on either the electrum and the updated wallet in the OP. Any advice? there are some add nodes at the bottom of that. |

I'm putting together a talented marketing team as we speak, and preparing some of the technology for greater adoption. Will keep everyone posted But in the meantime, can I get some input from community? Let's list the greatest weaknesses / most lacking parts of development that all of you agree will help improve the technology and image especially when new users come into the community. This could be any of the following (or more):+ Improvements in user friendliness + Wallet Speed + Transaction Processing + Stability + Aesthetics I'll compile these suggestions into next full release (or revision 0.2.2.X). For 2.2.0 Experimental:I'm going to see about getting an experimental Sector LLD database built tonight (mostly done) and integrated to replace the BlockIndex's in TxDB to improve boot/sync time significantly, then once we can get that solid going to start moving other parts to LLD and then to rewriting the networking code with the LLP for lightning fast syncs and block propagation. GUI is fine and functional, but I'd suggest sepparate wallet DATs for different wallets (create a DAT for each wallet), to give more control for the user. Also, there are lacking GUI functionalities to restore wallets. 2. A mnemonic seed would be great, and also the ability to encrypt the mnemonic seed with a password for those of us who enjoy the security or hoarding coins on paper wallets. Letting user choose GUI language also would be great. 3. New LLD client takes about 5 minutes to load, after blockchain is downloaded, and consumes 30% of CPU of an Intel 5960x during this process on Windows 10 x64 (16GB RAM). i noticed high cpu usage as well. |
