They probably just think you are cheap for not paying for dinner  Cheesy

That's what I thought too after reading... Haha.

Let's see if there's a future sequel to his post!
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Covering Porsche in BTC related logos to raise awareness? on: March 02, 2014, 09:32:43 PM
All Gox stuff aside, I'd encourage the OP to go through with this, though I wouldn't donate personally... At least not until I get my own Porsche.

I'd prefer a Carrera, though.

What does it mean when the website says the following when trying to withdraw?

"You cannot make withdrawals as you do not have a valid deposit."

Thanks!

Watched Leon for the first time in forever last night. It held up pretty well!

Which version did you watch? Apparently one is more paedo-y.

Think that I saw the extended version, was a pretty good film.

I haven't seen the nonce version haha. Both cuts are on the blu ray which I've got though.

Yeah, the International version's better than the American "cut" version.

Movie "Limitless" is pretty cool.   Definitely not award winning or anything like that, but definitely entertaining.

The Counselor was decent despite all the negative reviews it received

Yeah, for me The Counselor was all about appreciating the monologues and the scenery being chewed by the actors. If you're looking for traditional narrative, you won't like it...

That said, I also wouldn't mind seeing it again in a few months. Ridley Scott did a good job with the visuals (as always).

big fan of hunger, but like the first one than the second

The Tony Scott film? It had some interesting stuff in it and Scott's signature visual style is definitely there... Wink

As for House of Cards, I'm a few episodes into season 2 and all I gotta say is... Holy shit!
I envy you bro! I'll be watching House of Cards only in 12 hours when I get back home! Is it big or bigbig ? Cheesy

Have fun! I'm about to start watching episode 5... As soon as my girlfriend gets back home with cake!

The debauchery...

Pretty standard for a tv show or media...they lumped bitcoin in the same sentence with the dark web, money laundering, and child porn.  Media loves to make it look like bitcoin is a safe haven for thugs and criminals..

But it is also used for and associated with all that stuff. Would've been cool if that hacker guy requested payment in Bitcoins.

I agree that it could've been a better way to use Bitcoin, but oh well. I'm at episode 4 now.

I just don't like streaming... My Internet isn't as stable as it should be.

Since I'm snowed in, I'll be catching up on a couple of movies today... I think I'll watch a few James Bond titles.

Congrats to Bit777 (if it's what they wanted)!

I'll be curious to see how it affects this campaign...

After hearing some of these stories, I'm kinda glad I got in the game much later than many here... I'd be kicking myself so much if I had "lost" thousands of them.

Here's a good movie from a few years back if you didnt catch it... "Source Code."  Good drama

I watched that a couple of years ago on LoveFilm. Was pretty good, seeing the same scene over and over reminded me of Memento which is a great film, definitely recommended to those who haven't seen it.

I thought it was ok, got a bit tedious in the end. I preferred his previous film Moon.

I still need to watch that. It's one of those films that I keep saying that I'll watch but when I'm ready to watch a film it will completely blank me.

Moon and Source Code are two completely different movies. I liked Moon but I found it a bit bland in parts. Duncan Jones is going to direct the World of Warcraft movie. I wonder how that'll turn out.

You're kidding me? There's going to be a WoW movie? I mean sure it's big, but a movie about it? Will watch that space haha.

I kid you not: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0803096/?ref_=nm_flmg_dr_1 I don't care for it though. It'll probably just be a cheesier lower-budget version of LOTR.

Yup, Sam Raimi was tapped to direct it once upon a time, which tells you how the "feel" of the film should be... Even if Jones took over.

I think the movie that is hard not to enjoy is Scott Pilgrim Smiley It's awesome but I wouldn't re-watch it - one time brilliant Smiley

I really vehemently hated that and so did everybody I watched it with.

Yep, I thought that it was terrible. The effects were near but the direction and content (for the uninitiated) was terrible. I guess it's one of those films that sits well mostly with the fans of Scott Pilgrim, rather than the majority of the watching audience.

I think the only people who liked it was fanboys of the comic - sorry, "graphic novel". lol comics.

Everything moved too fast, and was extremely shit. Think that there might have been one laugh out loud moment, though I can't remember it.

I think you must be mistaken. Perhaps confused with some other film where Cera plays a socially awkward teenager. Unless that one laugh out loud moment was a long drawn out laugh at how laughably shit it all was.

Haha it probably was, though now come to think about it I think that we ended up joking about it. Similar thing happened with Dan In Real Life, Jesus, that film was diabolical. 6.8 on IMDB how I don't even...

Wasn't it advertised as a comedy? It was anything but...

I happened to watch a really good documentary last night: Paris is Burning.

It's from the early nineties and is about drag queens in NYC in the late 80s. I'm a fully straight male and found it really captivating.

Yeah, you keep telling yourself that  Wink Cheesy.

I just thought it was an interesting, yet overlooked tiny period of time in American history. And as tiny as it was, it gave rise to a lot of pop culture, influencing Madonna and many others.

Either way, super interesting documentary... If you're comfortable with your sexuality, you should be able to at least find it quasi-interesting as well... Smiley

Never heard of baseketball unless its that movie which is mixes baseball and basketball together.

It's an amazing and extremely quotable comedy with those two dudes from South Park. I've always loved it...

It's not about how one looks, BC has started something of a habit of playing real people lol. BC for the win.

On a serious note though, Emile Hirsch definitely looks the part.

You've got to look a little bit like the person you're meant to be playing. I've not really seen Cumberbatch in much. Only a few of his small parts.

Not a fan of Sherlock?

I've seen a few episodes of Sherlock myself and thought that it was alright. BC has been everywhere since starting Sherlock.

Sherlock the series is pretty good, but I don't think it is as good as all the hype.  I think ratings on IMDB had it in the top 5 shows of all time...I don't think so...

I agree that it's nowhere near the top 5 of all time. I always felt like IMDB was inflated when it came to TV shows.

I can't. Who would Vince be and who would play DPR?

Seems the guy who played Bill from Bill and Ted is directing the documentary: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/alexwinter/deep-web-the-untold-story-of-bitcoin-and-the-silk

And Dennis Lehane the guy who wrote Shutter Island is writing the movie: http://www.imdb.com/news/ni56311898/

He'd feature somewhere. Obviously Benedict Cumberbatch would play DPR - he'll shift shapes, it's his type of role.

After seeing what DPR looks like, someone like Emile Hirsch would be more appropriate I think.

Benedict Cummberbund is too old. Hirsh could work.

Robert Pattison could too looking at that picture.
