141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Don't pay! Ultimate Crypto-Server Installer Script setup your pool in minutes! on: June 18, 2019, 02:47:09 PM
Errors on the daemon installation :

I opened the specific port for RPC port of the daemon, with the command sudo ufw allow portnumber

i even rebooted server just in case, also reloaded ufw, tried also disabled it and enabled it back, then reboot server again.

Also i even tried to open ALL ports for tcp and udp, that doenst change anything, always same error :

ERROR Failed to connect to "serveripaddress" "portnumber" : Connection refused

I even mentionned the ufw to put all rules on IPv4 only, and not IPv6 as it is by default (and shouldnt) .... and not mentionned in the script...

Something wrong with the script at this part

there is nothing wrong with the script, "ERROR Failed to connect to" usually means that your coind is not running or you have the wrong info. If this is a single server install and yiimp and the coin wallets are on the same server you use either localhost or 127.0.0.1 as the server ip address. not your external server IP.

I'll do that ty Smiley

NO it doesnt work correctly, you have to mention that people needs to avoid typing special characters in their chosen password.

144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Don't pay! Ultimate Crypto-Server Installer Script setup your pool in minutes! on: June 18, 2019, 04:31:53 AM
And anyway after i managed to make it work by going myself into cd Multi-Pool-Installer and bash bootstrap.sh and install the yiimp solo server, it fails at the Daemon server installation, after clicking on
"install Berkeley 4.x"

After selecting it (same thing for 5.x) it forces me go back to the root access ( i mean newuser access), same as if  i typed "cd" to go back to the main home access ... But in the video, it does work ...

I'll keep posting solutions for the people who meets the same errors than me

Well, too bad anyway then, i guess nobody will really ever answer at that issue. I guess i'll just wait until something really works on Ubuntu. I'm tired of that shit, it never works like it is supposed to be.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Don't pay! Ultimate Crypto-Server Installer Script setup your pool in minutes! on: June 18, 2019, 03:43:40 AM
Problem at the beginning of the installation.

Typing "multipool" doenst do anything ... it's a folder ! Your script doenst work, but ty for the effort.

you need to follow the instructions. You need to have a fresh ubuntu 16.04 server. You need to download and run curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cryptopool-builders/Multi-Pool-Installer/master/bootstrap.sh | bash

as root, so if you are logged in as a user you need to sudo su -l to drop to the root command line. You need to create a new user through the script. After creating the new user, you need to reboot the machine and log back in as the new user, and then you can run multipool.

I did.... but multipool is a folder, typing "multipool" doenst do nothing ! .. something wrong with your scrypt
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Don't pay! Ultimate Crypto-Server Installer Script setup your pool in minutes! on: June 18, 2019, 03:29:04 AM
I did EXACTLY as explained in the tutorial and it fails at the beginning, i was able to make it run by avoiding the first script that is supposed to give special access to the newuser created. But it didnt, so i made it with :
adduser newuser
adduser newuser sudo
su - newuser

and it worked. but i'm stuck now at the installation of Daemon server, it doenst work when i click on it and make me go back on the root access ....

150  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin on its way to $20,000? on: May 07, 2019, 08:28:14 PM
Seeing that the volume is getting higher everyday almost, and its higher than 2017 comparat. at the marketcap, that plus the halving of litecoin pushing the bull market, and the halving of bitcoin. we could have a stable 40k$ during 2020, or during 2021.

So 20k$ easy during 2020 yes.

9000$ end of 2019 (after  LTC halving)

40 000 $ end of 2020 (after  BTC halving)

"Unable to locate package libcur14-openssl-dev"

157  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S7 - Vertical vs Horizontal orientation on: February 18, 2019, 02:26:47 PM
I just did the vertical thing for the asics and it works very well !

For months i was changing almost every 2 weeks about how i should place the miners.

I have 6 of avalonminers and it was a pain at start to get a good soundproof and hot temperature proof solution.

Putting them in a normal room was not that bad for the temperature, the asics had all of the space in the room to cool themself but the problem was the noise as i do it in a small appartment.

Then i saw a video with a guy putting his mining gpu in a plant grow tent. I bought it on amazon  and it actually works pretty well with asics too !

It removes a little bit of annoying high frequency of noise, but mostly, it is hermetic about the air so then you can control easily the temperature that you want in it, it will not be affected by the environment around.

That plus 2 more speed controlled fan for the input and output air.

But still the days that it was more hot outside, even with a neutral pression in the tent, the machines wouldnt stop being hotter and hotter.

So two days ago i've tried to put all the asics and the bottom of the tent and use the natural physics of the cold/hot air by putting them vertically and tada!! It works !!!

All the heat coming from the frontal out fan of the asics is obviously coming directly to the top where the fan is getting out the hot hair, and so then it will not rebounced everywhere on the sides.

Plus, the other heat that is getting out from the metal cover all around the asics is getting directly on the top without affecting the air around it, without getting all other sides and to heat the air at the bottom of the hermetic tent.

It gives more 15 free more degrees celcius. It's -5 degrees outside tho, but still. I had them around 20-22 before, and now they're around 5-7.

It is an old topic but i hope that at least a few people will try it, we dont see much topic about asics put vertically for mining neither any videos, while it's so effective...

The tent: https://nsa40.casimages.com/img/2019/02/18/190218034906254684.jpg

Machines at bottom inside : https://nsa40.casimages.com/img/2019/02/18/190218034907580957.jpg — the towels are to prevent the cold air which is getting in, below the asics, to get pushed all around the corners of the tent and being pushed at the end of the top of the end without going inside the miners.

Below the asics : https://nsa40.casimages.com/img/2019/02/18/190218034908838263.jpg how i've put the cables on, from the psu,s

Do you have any images of how you mounted them? For me its not and issue of get the miner vertical but where do you position the PSU especially when you use the bitmain one with not much slack. If anyone can attach links to other post I'd appreciate it

You have to use a steel wire shelving cabinet-storage like this: https://i.imgur.com/lDDWWvQ.png

Then you put the PSU,s next to it or UNDER it and put the cables like i did like that :
